    Luisa, this is so beautiful, your designs are always simply gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. I was wondering do you have a New Years Eve earring and necklace tutorial, with something blingy and super sparkly? I thought maybe you had created a tutorial from years past? Thanks again wishing you a healthy and prosperous New Year 🎉 🙏

      Thank you Elizabeth. I feel a little better after reading your comment. I’ve received quite a few “thumb downs” compared to my other videos. Probably due to the beads not being available anywhere. I’ve made this necklace with other beads of different shapes and sizes, and it always ends up looking nice with some minor adjustments in the bead components. 💗

    Gorgeous necklace! I love the way the focal stones fit together. ! wasn't sure how to pronounce Amazonite either (I've heard it pronounced both ways), so I looked it up. The accent is on the first syllable, like the Amazon River AM-uh-zuh-nahyt.

    Just found u on you tube. Love your designs. You are very gifted. Tell me, what is the thickest gage wire u can use in the one step looper? My simple loops are awful no matter how much I practice. It may be the answer for me. Take care.

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  3 роки тому

      I’ve used up to 18 gauge. You could probably use 16 gauge but I’ve never tried it. The looper does better with thicker gauges but I’ve also used it on wire as thin as 24 gauge. The packaging usual gives some guidance on the gauges. 🙂🌺🌸🌼

    Love your videos and design creations 💖. I have a question if you could respond. How, and possibly where, to find headpins with big enough heads on them, that they don't pull through the spacer bead or beads. And I'm using regular size beads...

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Marjorie. I buy a lot of my headpins from PandaHall because they’re very reasonably priced. These are super long and you get 1,400 for around $8: www.pandahall.com/p-1550802-iron-flat-head-pins-nickel-free-platinum.html They have a regular flat head (not a ball) but they get the job done. I even cut the heads off and turn them into eye pins since they’re so cheap. If you already have headpins with small heads, you could always thread a seed bead on first to keep the other beads from sliding off. 😊❤️🌺🌸

    Beautiful! I have a question about the one step looper that I’m hoping you can answer. I bought two of them - one is 2.25 mm and the other is called the “Big Looper” and makes 3mm loops. I haven’t tried the big one yet, but I’ve tried the smaller one a few times now and it doesn’t seem to work like yours does. If I don’t have the head pin sticking out the hole, it doesn’t cut it off and then just wraps it with a long parallel tail. It’s also really difficult to remove it from the looper. I noticed that you were able to have yours cut the head pin without going all of the way through. I guess I’ll try the larger one and see if it works better, but have you heard of anything like that before? I don’t remember where I ordered it from so I can’t exchange it...
    Oh, and where is a good place to order the long head pins? Mine are all short, which is also part of the problem. You mentioned Panda Hall - is that BeeBee Craft?
    Thank you in advance and thank you for sharing! 💜

      Hi Sharon. You may be using the wrong gauge wire. I know for the 2.25mm the gauge has to be between 24 and 18. If your pins are thinner than 24 or fatter than 18, they may not work in the looper. That happened to me initially. If your gauge is not the problem, you may have a defective tool. I contacted Beadsmith (the manufacturers once because I had a defective looper and they were kind enough to replace it. Their contact info is on their website: www.beadsmith.com/. Regarding the headpins...I debated on whether or not to list them in the description but I don't know if Beadpark would be happy 😬. In any case, here is the Pandahall link: www.pandahall.com/p-1550800-iron-head-pins-nickel-free-platinum.html

      Misty Moon Designs Ah, that makes sense. Unfortunately, I don’t know what size these head pins are as I have a bunch of baggies of them, but I’m thinking they must be 18 or less because I’ve wrapped them with my hand. But I’ll contact them - thank you for the information! And thank you for sharing the link for the ones you bought. I don’t think Bead Park will mind since I asked. Thank you again! 💜💕💜

      An update - I did email them and included a picture of what mine is doing. I got a response back telling me that I need to use head pins that are long enough to go through the hole. I sent her a link to your video to show her an example of other people using it without putting it through the hole just for her own information. I’m waiting to get my Panda Hall order though and then I’ll use the longer ones. I’m still wondering if I got a “lemon,” but I guess I’ll just keep trying it and order a new one if it’s still not working right. Thank you for your help! 🙏🏻💕

      Nails by Sharon H Hi Sharon, I think when you get the thicker gauge pins, regardless of the length, your looper should work. I tested my looper with different pins and when I used the 2.25mm looper and smaller thinner pins, it did not cut the pin at all. It just bent it so that it folded the pin completely. Same as what you’re experiencing. I’m pretty sure yours will work properly with thicker gauge pins. Whoever responded to your email is incorrect. You can definitely use the looper without having the pin through the hole. Both of my loopers can cut without having to do that. Do you have any wire you can test it on? 18 to 26 gauge wire would be good.

      Misty Moon Designs Hi, I do have wire. I’ll give it a try and see. I don’t know where I got the head pins I have and they’re not labeled as to gauge. I’m thinking I probably ordered them through Fire Mountain, but I don’t remember. They are really strong, which is why I thought they were 18 gauge but maybe not.
      I sent you an email with a question about one of your designs, if you have time to answer it.
      Thank you again!

      Lol...I know what you mean. Especially now that I found out how hard it is to find the Amazonite teardrop beads! I went looking for them everywhere and couldn’t find them. Everyone’s sold out.

      I bought mine on Amazon. Here’s the link: BEADSMITH-One Step Looper Tool www.amazon.com/dp/B00BOZ79UO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_u7ErEbMWTN2ZQ . They have different sizes. I like using the one that makes 1.5mm loops for many projects but they do make a bigger one if you prefer bigger loops.

      @@MistyMoonDesigns Yes, it's hard to see the individual beads and follow the stringing pattern. It is very pretty. I've gotten away from see beads

      Diane Greene it’s good to know. I will definitely keep that in mind for the next video, and I’ll try to do more closeups. Thank you for the feedback ❤️
