Read My 2023 Outboard Motor Manual Today And Noticed With Picture Diagram Never To Go Under Your Motor That’s Tilted Up Could Come Down And Cause Serious Injury Your Video Was Fantastic ! Being A New Small Boat Owner I’m Learning New Things Every Day Thanks To Your Great Videos Thanks Very Much
Glad you left a comment on our video! For some reason your bell wasn't rung anymore and we weren't getting notified of your uploads! Great video by the way - always good to maintain everything the best you can. We are hoping to have a boat like that someday to do some local fishing.
There is a flat washer included. You forgot to put it between the lock washer and the frame when attaching the frame attachment bracket. I bought this transom saver after seeing your video. Great product.
A cheap transom saver is better than not using one. I highly recommend using a heavy-duty transom saver that you only need to purchase once like a Extreme Max.
Im so pleased I found this video because I was going to buy one of them transom savers, but the shop were I was getting it from told me that it's only recommended for auto tilt outboard not manual tilt outboard. I have a Tohatsu 20hp 4-stroke and was wanting to travel with my outboard on the transom. Did you set the outboard to the first or second tilt position or did you just pick the position to suit the saver length. Hope this makes sense. Lol. Thanks 👍
I purchased the exact same Transom Saver from Atwood. It states on the package “Outboard must have power tilt and trim to use this product “. My tiller motor like yours does not have power tilt and trim. Wondering why it states that? (Listed on back side of package)
Thank you for the great instructional. Do you by chance know what is the size of the bolt for the bracket mount (length/width)? And what size drill bit did you use for the hole on the trailer?
Nice video. I have the same boat and am looking to put in the casting deck. Do you have a trolling motor? Can you control boat from front? Is the motor electric start? What are the black ball shaped items on casting deck?
Hello, originally I had a 4 hp on this boat and now have an 8 hp on it. The boat goes about 12 knots. If you look in the PolarKraft playlist you can see the videos when I do a speed test with each motor. Thanks for watching..
The rounded end goes around the center roller, also you had it put together wrong. The round end should have been slid into the other tube with another 1/4 turn. images.etrailer.com/static/images/pics/3/1/315-fxh_14_1000.jpg

Thanks for coming back to the channel. Boats are an addiction, much like motorcycles and campers! Lol. Thanks for watching.
@@BikesBoatsBivouacs lol. I believe that 100%. I could think of worse!
Very informative. I just bought a Yamaha 4 stroke and will install the transom saver soon using this video for instructions. Thanks

Man you made that simply went over every step Thank You good video my man
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching
Also your clevis pin can be moved up to where the bolt attaches both aluminum supports
Thanks for the tip
Nice job. I would suggest a flat washer to distribute the pressure under the nylon locking nuts
Good idea. Thanks for watching.
It's a carriage bolt. Learned that from doing Industrial Maintenance.
Thanks for watching.
Good video I just bought one of those today for my little boat 👍
It really made a difference on traveling with the trailer. Thanks for watching.

This one has worked well for me. Thanks for watching.

The rounded end of the transom saver is for a boat trailer roller.
Roger that. Thanks for watching
great job on the install Scott, my bro has the same one on his bass tracker
It really makes a difference. Thanks for watching.
You should provide a link to the transom saver in your description. Amazon has an Attwood Adjustable and Heavy-Duty Transom Savers for $46.50.
Thanks for the idea. Ill look it up and add it. Thanks for watching
Great video - thank you!
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching
Good video. Motor purrs just like a kitten
It works well. Thanks for watching.
The rounded attachment is for trailers that have a roller dead center at the back. Not a big fan of that setup myself, much prefer the way you got it.
Thanks for watching
Nice video, thanks for making it

I'm not sure why that is suggested but it has worked well for me. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the great instructional. Do you by chance know what is the size of the bolt for the bracket mount (length/width)? And what size drill bit did you use for the hole on the trailer?
I believe the drill bit was a 3/8 bit. The bolt came with the transom saver. Thanks for watching.
Excellent vid
I hope it helps, thanks for watching.
so when you get to boat ramp you have to get on ground and pull out the saftey pin and reinsert after you put boat back on trailer too?
I do pull that pin although I could use a bungee sling so I wouldn't have to do it. Thanks for watching.
Nice install of the transom saver, Scott. That should make it nice and tight. There goes the boat! Is that a self-propelled boat? Haha.
That slight grade in the driveway allows things to leave on their own! Lol. Thanks for watching.
Nice video. I have the same boat and am looking to put in the casting deck.
Do you have a trolling motor? Can you control boat from front? Is the motor electric start?
What are the black ball shaped items on casting deck?
I did a video on the casting deck installation. Look in my polarkraft playlist. Thanks for watching
Nice video. How fast does that motor push your boat?
Hello, originally I had a 4 hp on this boat and now have an 8 hp on it. The boat goes about 12 knots. If you look in the PolarKraft playlist you can see the videos when I do a speed test with each motor. Thanks for watching..
Looks as though you ride with legal, quiet, OEM, mufflers...thank you.
Correct. Thanks for watching
To remove the clevis pin before you launch need to work your way under and pull the pin. Not that easy
So far I'm flexible enough to reach. Thanks for watching.
COOL GUY GOD BLESS AMERICA
Thanks
So you have to crawl underneath the boat to take it on and off
That is correct. Thanks for watching
