I got a 2013 civic si with the K24A recently and cant wait to add some bolt ons for a little extra power. Already saving for my kraftwerks supercharger, Hondata Flashpro, intake and exhuast. After that ill have to upgrade the clutch brakes and start looking at transmission shops
@@mosesross6836 ive seen both applications but the supercharger is much more common from what ive seen. That being said i will look into the clutch you mentioned because i know i will need one as soon as i add soms HP
They engineers put hard duty racing performance bottom end in a standard use vehicle for the masses. Outstanding. hey could you do a video on the N54 or N55? I’m going to be rebuilding the rotating assembly on my N55 to fully forged so i’d love to hear your opinion on the engines
A company called Kmiata sells everything you need to K swap your Miata. I think they started selling kits for other cars too. 4piston racing build some crazy K engines for both streets and racing applications, from naturally aspirated to force induction. The 1st ever 1000hp 4 cylinders engine I've seen was built by 4piston.
Honestly you inspire a brother to want to learn about cars more all I know is maintenance.. i know there isnt ANY pros but can you do a video on the civics with cvt transmission and possibly the 9th gens and nissans cvt transmission included lol
Fitment made a video over rsx. They basically said it's a cool lookin car, but it's slow. See if you can prove em wrong in pt 2. I also got a 2005 rsx type s as an investment and it's already doubled in price 😂

Dope video, if you go k series just understand you gotta know what year and model block you use so it has the same mounts for oil filters, motor mounts, serpentine belts, etc … besides that it’s a good engine and the rsx type s head for what I understand is the only k series Vtec head with Vtec on both the exhaust and intake camshafts … on the rsx type s claim, I think from what I’m reading any k20a / k24a head has a Vtec cam for both intake and exhaust, imma check what cars it came in
And the k series out of the element has the most weak piston rods … the tsx and civic si k series blocks are a lot stronger and k series out of accords are a little more weak compared to those (I could be wrong this is off the top of my head)
K24a with k20a heads is your common build but you'll have to sand the heads to make it fit from what I've seen. I prefer a k24z7 engine block with k24z3 heads now that's a nasty combination and it fits perfect.
There's several heads that have intake and exhaust vtec ,not just rsx s. The best flowing k series head is probably the least sought after since it's missing exhaust vtec. Nothing a little turbo won't help.

People been doing this for the last 15 years. When the K series first came out and people first starting swapping them into the hatchback, they were walking everything. A 400whp k20 hatch is so fucking fast because they don’t weigh anything. 400hp and your beating 700whp corvettes and mustangs back in the day.
