    Hi Jenny, I enjoy watching your podcasts. I love all the colours that you use for your projects. I have been watching a few different podcasts, and I was glad to see that you use acrylic yarn. I am from South Africa and acrylic yarn is the most affordable option to use. I was fortunate enough to find wool at one of our local yarn stores that was selling them for cheaper because the quality was not good enough . Well done on your Tassel Tango design!

      Thank you so much! I try my best to have a mix of affordable and indie dyed yarns in my projects. Indie dyed yarns are certainly beautiful and luxurious, but they are not always accessible for everyone. Sweater quantities of yarn especially can get into the hundreds of dollars sometimes, so it's nice to have more affordable options like acrylic and acrylic blends!

    I just caught up on all of your podcasts in like three days. I think your idea for the tassel tango is really cool.
    A few episodes ago you were wearing the Serendipity Wrap top and I got inspired to make one myself! I have too many plans for this fall to make one but it’s first on my list for this winter!
    I love seeing your FO’s and WIP’s and I of course stay to the end of the videos to see your acquisitions ☺️

      Thanks so much! The Serendipity Wrap is definitely one of my favourite garments at the moment - and now that I have my mind wrapped around pattern a bit better, I am thinking of casting on another one in the fall as well! Maybe a grey or black one this time!
      I'm happy to hear that you stick around for the acquisitions! It's fun to show off stuff from other makers!

      @@HoneybirdStudio I think a grey wrap top would be very pretty!

    Love all the cardigans 😍. The Felix and Weekender have been in my list for a while. Hopefully this falls cast ons.

      Both the Felix and the Weekender were enjoyable knits! And they both knit up so quickly - hurray for worsted weight patterns! I would absolutely recommend them both for some nice fall cast ons!

    Hi Jenny! It was so fun to see SO MANY different projects in this episode. I love all of the color combos you are selecting for your Tassel Tangos! For those ends, I find it best for me to weave in one end every time I pick up a project (if I'm at a stage in the pattern where it is reasonable to do so), so there is less finishing work to do when the knitting is done!

    • @HoneybirdStudio
      @HoneybirdStudio  3 роки тому

      Thank you! That sounds like a good idea to weave in one of the ends whenever I pick up the project - I think I might do that! It definitely will save me the headache of weaving in a million ends later on haha!

    Hi Jenny, love your bright Ranunculus! I hate join knots in my yarn too. We knitter shouldn't have this happening in 50gram balls. Be sure to let the company hear your complaint! Also, can't understand the problem with companies not marking the center pull thread of the balls, very frustrating! Wish we could get together to force companies do better. We do have power, if we stop buying their yarn. I will not be buying any Queensland Collection due to the problem you are having!

    • @HoneybirdStudio
      @HoneybirdStudio  3 роки тому

      I certainly didn't expect to have join knots in such a small amount of yarn! I'm thinking I might hand-wind the rest of the balls so that I don't run into any surprise knots while I'm knitting! Luckily I got the yarn from a destash and didn't pay much for it. I have another set of yarn from the same company, but in their tweed base - I'm really hoping that I won't run into the same issue!

    Hi Jenny🧶
    Enjoyed your podcast as always! I love how you modified the Felix pattern!
    All your knits are lovely! I may knit a Felix cardigan this fall. Do you think the
    modified lace down the side would work on a cardigan? I think it could look very nice!
    The modification takes the sweater itself up a notch😃. You are a very talented young lady😎

    • @HoneybirdStudio
      @HoneybirdStudio  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much! I think the lace modification would look great on a cardigan as well! I'm not sure if the Felix Cardigan itself has any waist shaping, but if it doesn't, continuing the lace detail down the side under the arms should work!
