  • If you're a parent of a child with diabetes, finding the right continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device can be a daunting task. You want something that will accurately monitor your child's glucose levels without causing discomfort or stress. In this video, we'll explore why the Dexcom G7 is the best choice for kids with diabetes, with a focus on its child-friendly features.
We'll start by explaining what the Dexcom G7 is and how it works. Then, we'll dive into the child-friendly features that make it a top choice for parents and their children. We'll discuss the G7's small size and easy-to-use applicator, which make it less intimidating for kids. We'll also explore how the G7's customizable alerts and notifications can be tailored to fit your child's needs, making it easier for them to stay on top of their glucose levels without constant reminders from you.
Another key feature of the G7 is its ability to stay connected to your child's smartphone, allowing them to easily monitor their glucose levels throughout the day. This feature can be especially helpful for busy kids who are constantly on the go.
By the end of the video, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of why the Dexcom G7 is the best choice for kids with diabetes and how it can help make managing their condition less stressful and more manageable for both you and your child. Lastly, we will talk about the Zero warm-up time Hack.

Excited to hear the G7 has finally been approved in the USA. I'm guessing that the G7 has a new app and Follow app for smartphones. Dexcom is frustrating me in that the G6 app as not been certified with the latest iPhone release 16 software. I do get messages from Dexcom that the app hasn't been tested to work properly with ios 16 and is working on it. Dread the thought of needing a new iPhone and not being able to use my Dexcom or Follow app as well.

I totally agree Dwight. Software updates and compatibility can be so frustrating. Hopefully they keep them rolling out constantly

Hi Dannielle, this is a good question that deserves to be asked. I actually did some research into this before switching to a pump. I came to the conclusion that if you think about it, just about anything can be hacked now adays. It's up to me to decide what my risk versus reward limits are. Yes it can be scary but having these devices in my life have been worth it to me.
