I just graduated in engineering, and since my final year of uni, I have been larning computer science on my own. Now it's been a few months in the post graduation phase, and I am trying to learn more and more so I get in the field and be able to apply at a first job. Videos like these make me feel things are achievable:)
You're videos are very relaxing and calming, yet informative and interesting. Keep it up and I can't wait to watch your channel grow (I've subscribe :) )
Hi , great video, love watching day in a life videos in general. I have a few questions with regards to the self taught route. So I have learned Html, css and javascript. I can solve logic problems but I struggle to "program". Can you give advise with regards to how I can like learn how to make projects from scratch.
Thanks for watching! When starting out, one of the most helpful things was following full-project tutorials in which devs would use a popular tech stack while building a clone of a consumer site like Spotify or Instagram. I remember UA-cam channels like FreeCodeCamp had some great content on this!
Hey Justin, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your highly engaging thumbnails that helps to grow your channel ?
Could you please explain more or simplified the explanation of Deployed Engineer? because I've been looking it up online (at Quora) and still couldn't grasp the idea. Anyway, great video, bro! +1 subs
Sure! It varies quite a bit company to company, but it usually involves doing some type of engineering with businesses closely after they become a customer. This usually only makes sense if the company you’re working for has a more complex technical product that a customer needs to learn before building with, or has super specific needs. In most cases, ‘deployed engineering’ is kind of a combo of product engineering, solutions engineering, sales engineering, and being a customer success manager. For the startup I worked at in particular, the role was more of a catch-all for technical ops, and we would do whatever was necessary at the time across software engineering, data, product, and sales, but the scope became more focused as the company grew. Overall, ‘deployed engineering’ can be pretty much anything across companies, which is why it can seem confusing when researching online, but it usually involves doing technical work with customers so that they’re happy!
I'm from India, arts graduated in 2023 . I have learnt html css javascript and learning react. Do companies will hire guy with no tech degree.im 25 , stressed and frustrated living with my parents 😭 . How much it will take to get a entry level job.
From what I’ve seen, a technical degree definitely isn’t required, but if you don’t have one, there’s more work required to get your foot in the door. Folks that went to a well-known college and/or get a technical degree have status signals so that they need to do less to do less to prove themselves to employers. Some of the best engineers I know don’t have a technical degree, but because it’s harder to prove it, they’ve had to lean harder into networking and building portfolios before they find a good home for themselves.
Hey Justin , , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you enhance Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .
Hm not really to be honest-the college I went to didn’t have an MIS major (only a grad program), so I never learned much about it, but it sounds like a good track for entering an engineering or pm career!
