I loved this episode because I was reminded again and again of all the different things I've learned about a history I never got to hear before through this show! Thanks!
(Also, the discussion about taking photos and being mindful of who's in the frame made me think about community participation as opposed to day jobs/life outside the kink positive space. I would love to hear a more in-depth discussion sometime about how that was balanced for you guys. Even in our current political climate, it can be hard to be an active community member and hold certain jobs down, so I can't imagine what it used to be.)

Would absolutely LOVE more pup quiz episodes, more in depth history of specific bars/clubs, a touch on the gay biker communities, and an inside of the leather archives ❤

One event I've been to has green and red silicone bracelets. The official photographer is the only one allowed to take pictures, and they delete all photos that features anyone wearing a red bracelet. So basically photo consent flagging. Potentially yellow could be used for "do not share face", but that leads to grey zones.

I've just finished watching from ep1 through to now (except the ones where the sound was screwed 😔) iver the last 3 weeks and have really enjoyed and loom forward to the ones yet to come.
Regarding the ones with duff sound, now that you sorted whatever the issue was, is there anything that can be done to the messed up ones to correct them and get them reloaded?

If we push the argument “I just think it looks good I don’t think about it socially” to the extreme though it would be an ok to nachos uniform so not sure it’s the best argument.

I just finished watching your entire series but wanted to come back to this episode to post as I think what I wanted to mention fit best here. I am living here in the SF area for just over 12 years now, and while I am not a part of the leather community here I am sad to say due to many different reasons my Training as a boy was back in Ohio and the Midwest and that is also where my Sir currently lives.
Through this series so far it has been mentioned a few times about the "Capping" or "Cover" ceremony for Sir's/Master's and Race has mentioned a few times on how ceremonies shouldn't always focus on the Dom and there should be focus on the subs as well. Having come from the midwest and received my initial training there I think I may be able to explain where some ideas of these different ceremonies and protocols came from. In the midwest prior to the widespread use of the internet the only option to learn about the "Old Guard" ways and ceremonies was through word of mouth and books and for us the Leather Scene in SF was not only the Gay Mecca but also the Leather Mecca but also somewhat still like today the "scene" is behind the times and also doesn't move as easily forward or as quickly in the Midwest and surrounding areas. Having said as much there are many ceremonies for both Dom's and sub's that are still alive and well in the area of the Midwest. This boy actually received his consideration collar in front of his Sir's family in a small ceremony. Where I potentially think some of the ideas for protocols and ceremonies are not only from Word of mouth but also books such as "The Leatherman's Protocol Handbook" by John D. Weal and the series of books by Robert J. Ruben Ph.D and M. Jen Fairfield an example of which would be the "Master/slave Mastery" book. It's the ceremonies, protocol, discipline, and respect described in these books and other similar publications along with simple observation and an internal tug that initially drew this boy to the leather and BDSM lifestyle. this boy observed true respect and power exchange given between Dom's and their subs as well as those around them and the care between each other. and each learned from experienced Sir's and boys in the way of the Leather and Buds lifestyle Similar to how in your series there has been several mentions of the Leather Daddies who looked out for the newbies as well as looked out over other members and kept an eye out for trouble. Anyways I hope this may solve some small part of the mystery of where some of this is coming from.
Now one question I wanted to ask was what is your opinion of these upcoming Dom's especially in what some are calling the "New Guard"? I am in agreement with all of you that the scene has to grow and evolve and had it not I wouldn't be able to be with My Sir according to some of the older traditions as there is 3K miles that separate us and in theory Mr. Kristofer would not be able to be with his Master Boss had it not been for the evolving scene as in some of what this boy learned of the old ways is that Slaves were bound fully and totally to their Master's but the scene has changed and evolved enough for our relationships to exist alongside others or over distance. I digress though. One thing I am seeing that frightens me is these new Dom's that are coming up they seem to only take what they have seen on the internet and think being a Dom is all about their pleasure and the sub just has to take what is given them or do what they are told. Instead of the Power exchange that a good pairing should be about. I mean Race said it best when he said the sub has all the power. But, too many times this boy has seen Dom's that really don't know what they are doing on the verge of hurting their subs or even causing emotional and mental damage. And what this boy thinks is that the scene in some ways has gotten so big and encompassing that the available mentorship is just no longer there or that seeing something on the internet a few times makes one an expert. I would love to hear your thoughts or if you are observing some of the same things this boy is.
Thank you again for the show I myself have learned so much that I didn't know and thank you also pup Amp and Mr. Kristofer for Watts the Safeword as I also find that entertaining as well as educational.

Capping a Dom is new because in the past, there were few 'bad' doms. Now anyone on a power trip claims to be a dom.
