I always advise people to live well below their means. I make over $100K; but I paid off my debt and my house, so that I can live on 20-25% of my net income. Then you save and invest, so that you are developing value and income, rather than chasing the dragon and buying stuff on credit to wind up broke. I am working in an expanding business and I'm still squirrelling away cash like there could be a crisis. I have never seen a person who went through hard times come out of it and say, "This would have been easier if I had less money and security." Peers in the industry I work in, who dug themselves into debt are currently laying off and closing locations; while we at my company pick their bones and benefit from their suffering.

Sometimes the best thing to do is move for a job. However, if it’s the only place for say thirty plus miles in your field. If things don’t work out you’ll be in thousands in debt from the move with no job. The unemployment numbers don’t include the 7 million NEET 25-54 year old men.
@@AlliandRico That’s a tough one. We’ve got the 7 million who aren’t working at all, but how many people are saying working a handful of hours a week for crap wages? Or people with a mountain of student loans working part time at a pizza shop for years on end? We also count people who go from good jobs with Bennie’s to driving Uber part time as employed too.
Why not move to the job? Because the partner probably has a job, because of family and social connections. And the worst part - you are not guaranteed to keep a new job once you relocate. This is a vicious cycle.
A few things may happen when you're older. The amount of more money you need is reduced, because hopefully, your net worth is high enough, where the additional income means less relative to what you already have. Putting in more effort than ever for income that won't make as much of a dent in your wealth means less incentive and motivation to continue working so hard. Also, time becomes more important and valuable as you get older, because we have less time left being alive. Do we want to spend that time wearing ourselves out and being stressed to have more money, or would making more money buy us more time? At a certain point, the answer to those questions is "no" and time is more important than additional money.
Unless you are a CODING WIZARD your goose is cooked! Maybe you'll be lucky landing union jobs for the government or education otherwise $30k a year is given - but you have to relocate!

Companies have realized they simply cant have 3 or 4 people on the payroll when it only requires 1 person. No company can survive having that many people. You can't have people on the payroll that love taking Mondays or Fridays off all the time. Have to leave all the time because there's an issue with your kids. Wont work overtime when its needed. Your off for months at a time having kids. We dont need you. Do you cost the company lots of money on health care costs? Good luck.
I doubt manufacturing will ever return to US unless massive added debt is acceptable. The computer chips made in the US will require tens of Billions of $$$ to bring to fruition and the working skills, workers, will largely have to be imported. China is investing $142B into chips, more than all others combined, IMO. I think China will not give up manufacturing easily to anyone. The wealth of a country is oil and/or manufacturing.

Dropbox is an annoying, "I gotta cancel this" service. Cheap SSDs in the terabyte range just WORK and "spinning rust" solutions are ridiculously cheap. A lot of people are realizing this and moving their pet videos local.
Moving to an expensive city locks you into high expenses. You can't move back to a small town with no job if you get laid off again.
What did musk with x will be reproduced across every company like how the Jack Welch Guy created the CEO average employee imbalance
I am 80 yrs old....live below your means and save your money. Invest in things that appreciate in value not expensive things that depreciate. Young people have many years to save.
As in every generation, one must go where the money is to make a living.
Thank you AI.
Hopefully, the big federal corporation, called the federal government experiences layoffs in all of their redundancy?
Good to be on the channel for the real news 📰 🙏
Thanks for the comment, buddy!
There is no need for Spotify squads at this point. Much more efficient with a couple of senior devs with the right tools and a super lean pipeline/process to prod.😅
Sometimes the best thing to do is move for a job. However, if it’s the only place for say thirty plus miles in your field. If things don’t work out you’ll be in thousands in debt from the move with no job.
The unemployment numbers don’t include the 7 million NEET 25-54 year old men.
That would make unemployment rate what %?
It may seem like you’ll never be ready for retirement when you’re in your 30s. It’s a long runway.
It sure seems like it right?
Thanks tec people 4 get n tec 2 the point where it runs itself.now u can get off your chair and get a real job.labor, manufacturing. Service
Over employment of redundant workers from low interest rate... trash startup websites are collapsing.... clean up now...
Unless you are a CODING WIZARD your goose is cooked! Maybe you'll be lucky landing union jobs for the government or education otherwise $30k a year is given - but you have to relocate!
Rust belt depression early eighties... 25% unemployment and 20% and over interest rates
Even now the industry has a lot of people who aren't really contributing much.
The new way to be efficient is to automate with robotics and AI
How about get your CDL and be a truck driver...
Ohh no... most people should not even have a driver license...
Imagine them driving a big rig... help! They need to pay truck drivers way more $$$$
@AlliandRico my point exactly... Heart-wrenching physically hard work is out of the question
Truck driving is a tough job. I live in the CO mountains near I70. Very rough winter conditions and I70 has been shut down a lot this past season due to blizzards, accidents, etc. Millennial snowflakes are not cut out for hard work.
@AlliandRico my son switched from electrician to truck driver almost 3 years ago... As an independent driver he's not making money rates have gone down overhead is gone up... Enjoy the empty shelves... He's away for easily 2 to 8 weeks at a time... When he's not home he's working 24/7... They need a shut down gangster Union like the longshoreman
Good luck.
There are jobs in the military or cybersecurity
I doubt manufacturing will ever return to US unless massive added debt is acceptable. The computer chips made in the US will require tens of Billions of $$$ to bring to fruition and the working skills, workers, will largely have to be imported. China is investing $142B into chips, more than all others combined, IMO.
I think China will not give up manufacturing easily to anyone. The wealth of a country is oil and/or manufacturing.
Steep tariffs to sell to U.S. consumers then.
They're trying to bring this back . The problem is that the government is mandating DEI policies which kills any thoughtful company from moving here.
you can't compete with china they have a billion people
The problem is that tech companies over hired. Lots of people would be sitting at their desk in these big tech companies, not having a damn thing to do. I saw it all the time. Why is that? Because I staffed a lot of these big tech companies.
Service economy is not sustainable. Free ride is over. World is no longer willing to cover the bills.
Yeah, the bill is now due.. and we have no money
They will throw away the coffee beans that were opened but not used up on the same day, even for the last customer of the day, to ensure freshness.
See how wasteful
The only way to get me out of Florida is if I can’t afford to live here. So I suspect many retirees are in the 10% of people who would leave for another state.
2:26 Old fruit doesn't get more appealing with time. What job did she have, and where does she physically live? Oh seattle? Is she willing to "be in the office" or does she expect to roll in her PJs?
How do you retire early??? Opportunities and luck.
AI write 25% of the code now how much will they be writing in a year two years three years five years within 5 to 7 years they’ll be 80% of the code
Nobody uses drop box…omg.
I know right
What did the 500 people do all day?
What do they use instead?
Just move every two years, that's a solution
That's brutal... every 2 years?
dude you are only 32 i thought you were like 45? how come . when i was 32 i looked like a 24 year old what's going on .
Its all the junk in the food that makes me look old... plus the stress about nov 5
He doesn't look 45. No wrinkles!

Wow u r very mature for 32
We are screaming towards the "Post-Labor Economy" where human labor is worthless. Get ready to be made obsolete. 💀
& employers wonder why people give 110%+ & people don’t care about doing a quality job. When the employer cares nothing for you, why care about loyalty to the company.
right 12:00
Did you ever notice these women are being laid off from cupicle jobs. Not construction plumbers, ,electricians?
Once minimum wage becomes a liveable wage, like it was meant to be. the world will fall back into place.
LOL
@gregorylyon1004 ironically it was forced after the fact depression. It'll probably be forced again. People don't generally go after their friends or other poor. They went after the rich. They were hunted to the point where if they didn't give up the luxury life they were killed in the 1920s. People do drastic things when they don't have a choice.
It will end in roughly 10 years as they all die off. The current way is complete obsolete and ripe for disruption. Every tech employee will have to be solo-preneur or join a small startup doing their own thing 😅
To words: "Artificial Intelligence"
I see palm trees in the background, but you’re wearing a jacket. At first I thought you were in Florida, but it’s been warm in Florida lately. So maybe you’re in southern Texas?
