  • There is an ancient cave temple in a remote village called Dalavanur, India. The name of this Megalithic site is Sathrumalleswaram and was built in 6th or 7th century A.D. Inside, we find a giant lingam, which is a symbol of Shiva. But how could Ancient Builders create such a marvel?

      Praveen you need to read up on Buddhist and Jain iconography.
      This appears to be a Buddhist vihara.The first enclosure is the prayer/meditation hall which is standard in all buddhist viharas across India ....on the wall is the /Bodhisatva Avalokiteswara. The linga in the enclave is actually a stupa.The iconography in the lower part of the stupa has been hidden with the white cloth, a common practice in many temples where the priests cover up parts of the statues which have iconography which can reveal their origins. 6th century dating makes my analysis even more likely , as Buddhism was doing well at that time. Hiuen Tsang ( also called Xuanzang) and I Tsing both visited India in the 6th century AD.

    • @jerichothirteen1134
      @jerichothirteen1134 18 годин тому +2

      It belongs to whatever religion found it last. Angkor wat was a Hindu temple that was turned into a Jainist temple then turned into a Buddhist temple. The Sophia Hagia Mosque was once a Christian Church. And on it goes.

    • @jerichothirteen1134
      @jerichothirteen1134 12 годин тому +1

      @gayatricasey6618 Oh yeah the Asian temples are all Hindu originally. Even Tahj Mahal. In Angkor wat they have removed all the Lingam and replaced them with modern Buddha statues that sit on the Yoni. Jainist carved little images of their God all over the temple at some point, and then later the Buddhists carved them into little Buddha. But it has the Ramayana carved around the walls and a big face of Rama on the main tower and Hindu deities carved all over so what else can you say? But were the Ancients Hindu? Or is Hinduism a worship of the Ancients? I think the later.

    Hi Praveen
    A calm temple found🙏🙏
    Looks like some unknown art /skills existed some 1000’s of years ago to chisel out or scoop out this wonderful temple. Surprising to me was the Nandi was not found.
    Infact was waiting to listen to some of your findings or research on this temple🤔- especially on the Dwarapalakas, the Makara ( my understanding Makara is the vahana of Ganga/ Varuna / Kamadeva, and Makara is said to guard or protect the entry into the temple - do correct me) .
    Wonder why these great crafts men made a temple in such a remote place, probably to safe guard our God’s.
    Eagerly waiting for more information on this temple.
    Thank you

Looks like the tall line on the left was melted, which then dripped down the edges of the 1st 2 steps and then they squared off the last. Not sure why they also didn't square off the edges of the 1st 2 steps though; unless it was to show us how they did it.

    I think there could be a statue of Nandi missing, from within the inside of the temple itself; something was missing from the floor space there, when viewing that game scratched into the floor. Lol, just my humble opinion, the possibility of; fascinating as always, thank you guys.

    Im interested that the carvings on the outside are not all of equal quality🤔 the doorway, lintel and heads and alcoves are finely done and precise but the two dancing figures are in lobsided alcoves and seem a little sturdier, less elegant. As if the carved space was found and repurposed as a temple with the addition of the lingam and the carvings🫢 which are amazing🥰 but not of the same quality

    Greetings ALL. PRANAM Mr. Praveen Mohan & Team. Thanks so much for an outstanding tube but not unique. What I'm trying to point out is this Temple have same Architectural Structure as "Mandagapattu temple" to "Shatru Malleswaralayam Temple" and they are far apart distance wise. Same entrances structures. Well amazing very intriguing. So wish You & Team the best in Your future paths for US and ALL. Thanks again indeed.

    Looks like geopolymer. 6:00-6:07 see the diagonal seams that divide subsequent pours. See the pour joints in the pillars: the lower is lighter color, upper portion darker = not one stone, not carved out, but poured in sections. Also the outside scooping. Strong indications that this was built, not "used to be solid rock" that was carved out.

    This is a kudavarai Kovil. The sculptors first make a hole as entrance into the hill side and sculpt their way inside.
    So all sculptures inside, lingam etc must have been made from the same single monolithic rock. single

    This brings back memories of Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom. India kids and the stones were stolen, He gets the kids back and stones... cuts the roap bridge fights the bad guy on the broken bridge. Then he says some Indian Shiva quote and the stones burn and cut threw bag.. bad guy fell to the alligators and he saves 1 stone... it looked like the stone only hand held

    I've watched so many of Praveen's excellent videos where he mentions about usage of advanced technologies in those times while building temples out of huge rocks with intricate artwork. I wonder where all the tools/machines of those times vanished without a trace! May be a few remnants of those machines could have been found?
