He said the guy conceded to getting beat up and offered no resistance. I don’t care if your a professional or not real men understand what he’s talking about. If he wanted to stay in the fight he would have clinched or tackled into him or do anything to stay in the fight
Got consider who the opponent In front of him was. While he cud have attempted to tie up, bud was super aggressive, don’t think kell had the space to get off or wrap up.
The Dude asked the Ref what happened after the KO. He got hit so hard he wasnt able to think straight. Clinching wasnt in his mind that moment

Exactly, the only way you reach that championship level is because you have shown that you know how to deal with those situations of danger. If he had the chance to wait for a count and was not completely wobbled, then he had the choice to find a way to survive the round. But Crawford took his heart with that punch which was nothing special really but since it caught him off guard it made him panic and I think Brook experienced PTSD after that, you gotta remember fighers are taking a beating. The worse the beating, the more likely you are to remember it as a traumatic experience, even fighters, no matter if they win or lose, they only human.
Shawn Porter needs to fight whoever is selling him the clothes he wears and whoever did those cornrow braids.

Not everyone takes punishment the same. Brook was OUT on his feet. They even showed him in the corner after they stopped it asking where he was. Floyd got rocked by Shane but he was still aware of what was going on. Floyd also didn't lose back to back fights breaking both orbital bones. Brook in 2 back to back fights (GGG & Spence) practically took the punishment of 3-4 fights collectively.

The fact that Kell answered the Refs questions during the standing 8 count proves that he was able to continue. The Ref said box, and Kell bent over and gave up, like SHAWN Porter said, his bent over positioning was a sign of giving up, and he had seconds to get his head together, which he did but he didn't want any more of what Crawford was giving him

You hit the nail on the head. PTSD, plain as day. That mixed in with the idea that he was fighting a great fighter in Crawford, made him shrink from the challenge. Also, I do believe Crawford's power might be too underrated.

@@kp9593 TBC never hit Khan nuts..he hit his right leg after Khan pull him down with his arm around TBC's neck. They reviewed the tape and knew Khan was faking the low blow and wanted to quit. You need to get back and check out the tape of the low blow. Bud would not have been awarded a knockout for a vicious low blow...Khan quit.

Bud caught Brook with some GREAT shots in the 3rd round. Especially late in the 3rd. Those punches set up Bud's 4th round kill shot.

When he got rocked he didn’t attempt to fight fight back. Period. I get what Shawn is saying. He got rocked and the truth came out. Yeah you are a great FIGHTER! But you are no WARRIOR. Ps. I like Kell as a human being though and he would definitely beat the brakes off me but I do understand what Shawn Porter is saying. Shawn got rocked by Errol Spence and his true WARRIOR CAME OUT. I’ve suffered multiple concussions while playing sports. From my child years to my adult years and when I got rocked my subconscious mind was saying no matter what you need to do your best when I was an adult. But when I was younger and afraid I didn’t want any parts of going back into the game because I was afraid. So being on both ends of the spectrum I know exactly what Shawn is talking about. And I’m not knocking Kell at all but he has suffered two big injuries that have probably affected him mentally.

You can clearly see Kell Brook after the fight saying to his corner "WHAT HAPPENED? WAS IT A PUNCH? A HOOK? WHAT WAS IT?" or something to that effect. How you supposed to remember instinct if you don't even know who you are or where your at?

I truly Feel kell was weight drained. Just watch his split screen interview from the night before the fight. He looked Dead almost. Crawford looked normal. That punch should of not rocked him like that.
agree mate - he looked technically sharp, he looked pretty snappy/quick too but he just didnt have the resistance because he didnt have his legs under him from the weight cut, he needs to be a 154lb fighter and i think you see a much better brook!
There was no rehydration clause, after making weight the day of the fight you could weigh whatever you want, brook looked good, porter should really fight bud and stop faking like he wants to, Porter would get stopped and be the reason Crawford and Spence negotiate a 50/50 split

I’ve been dropped and been completely out and didn’t come back until I was already on my feet, and I’ve seen people get dropped just like I was and everybody has a different reaction. Some come back too and roll around on the ground in pain, some come back to when there body is still reacting even though there mental is not there. I truly believe you are born a fighter and it’s inside of you. Fighting is more spiritual then mental or physical, it starts with the spirit, then physical and ends in the mental. Shawn has all 3 and that’s whys he’s one of the greats in his era

If THAT punch knocked Kell Brook for that hard a loop then either Bud is the absolute hardest puncher in boxing, Kell Brook has a glass chin ( which hasn't been the case in the past) or Bud had brass knuckles under his gloves. Kell has shown multiple times before that he has huge heart. He got clipped coming in. It happens. He's not saying Kell Brook threw the fight, and when he says "trust me, I'm not just thinking of myself", that's geniune and he's basically saying Brook accepted defeat, he didn't resist. The guy's solid, he's aware of what he's saying, you can get a feel by the way he carries himself in fights and interviews. The guy in the chair saying I think he was so hurt he couldn't do anything most likely doesn't have fighting experience. You are always in control even when hurt, it's always up to you and fighters are aware of that code, especially a pro of Brook's caliber.

@@Majmediachannel I agree and I don't mean Crawford didn't finish him physically. He's talking about Brook's mental state, he was mentally finished in his body language. I believe Crawford would've put him away either way. A good example of this was in MMA a few weeks ago, Anderson Silva at 46 gets dropped bad end of round 3, defends and survives to the end of the round. Round 4 comes out swinging at Hall STILL trying to win! Gets dropped bad again, gets finished, out of it, he TRIES to grab the referees fuxking leg! That's the champions code and that's why guys like that will be remembered as a champs champ. Brooks a great guy, that's just what happened in his last fight. It is what it is. What happened, happened, and anything can happen in the future for him, in terms of how he presents himself.

Porter, I agreed with about the reaction factor but not in this case. Kell Brooks was out on his feet, his eyes was dazed and he was saved by the ropes from going down. Then when he was asked could he continue, he shook his head but he didn't bend over until Crawford hit him in the shoulder...I actually thought that he was reacting more to the surprise of the power of Crawford...as well as the speed in which he got hit. Even after the match, first thing Kell said was, he caught me with the punch I didn't see...which means he got caught with that quick twitch power shot to just below his eye....

Shawn is low-key hating. We've seen him put down twice...He recovered well. Kell got hit w/ a shot he didn't see & was concussed imediately. He doesn't even remember. Zab judah and bradley were hit so hard they fell down twice. Only one was allowed to continue. Tyson was u conscious when he went down seemingly for a second. Kell & furry both covered up wen the counr was over. But terence is a better finisher.
Shawn has a a point. Kell Brook self destructed as soon as he was hit. Most elite fighters put up more of a fight when they are hurt especially since the right hook that first hurt Brook wasn't a big punch. Brook may have gotten a concussion but he needs to retire.

Kell Brooks punch resistance has gone, remember he got caught clean from GGG and took it well, Brooks chin has been proven in previous fights. Unfortunately it's time for Kell to retire.

Im listening to this podcast more often.... Im a big Spence fan but the more I listen to porter the more respect i have for him.
Shawn Porter gtfoh, he just was salty Crawford handled someone that beat him convincingly. It was a great shot that Crawford hit Kell with, Kell never saw the punch.
Brook could had thrown that fight, and if that's not the case he was still to incompetent to qualify as a challenger to that belt. Not a good test for the belt, and once you can't behave like a fighter you should not be fighting. Too soon to quit, and so he was already paid.... Brook still cashed a check, what the heck....
Kell is not the same dude that fought porter ,GGG and Spence mentally and physically broke brook ,even in Brooks prior fight vs some unknown dude,he didn't look the same .
I said the same thing the last two guys he looked like trash. Still won.

These guys don’t get it. He’s talking about the resistance to that type of shot is lost. It’s one thing to get hurt by it. It’s another thing to not recover at all from it after 8 to 10 seconds later. Especially at the level that Kell is at.

Kell was a shell of the guy that beat you shawn, he got hit with a good shot but was it a harder shot than GGG or spence that broke his orbital bones i don't think so, the man has lost his punch resistance and at 147 he is not as strong as he looked.
G-Man That doesnt make any sense . He didnt quit vs GGG he ended the fight on his feet . He didnt get dazed by Errol but he had to quit because his bone was broken. SO it doesnt make sense that he cant take a punch all of a sudden
@@christiansoldier77 His corner threw the towel in vs GGG, and he took a knee vs Spence, he never fought at 147 for 3 years after that, he always found it hard to make 147 as he got older but that's my opinion and others you do not have to agree, it is what it is.

I totally agree with Shawn Porter on this one. I remember Shane Mosley talking about how he was out from round two till about the 10th round, and still managed to finish the 12th, or Naoya Inoue seeing double from round two till the end of the fight against Donaire and still managed to sneak in an upper cut to the body for the win. Suferred an orbital bone fracture, Inoue.

I think that Porter was missing one point Brook was moving forward which double the power
He was definitely out of it you could see it in his face and he still seemed out of it in he’s interview after the fight he seemed stunned and confused as to what happened
However Porter is right he didn’t act like a fighter I agree but he was definitely rocked so I think the more accurate answer is it was a mix of both
