thanks man u got me into training kali again. during covid lockdown i said farewell to my bad eating habbits and said welcome in to my 6 pack abs for the first time in my life. im not here for the fighting. im here for longevity, muscle-mind connection and agility. it is also a great way of meditation. the best part is once the akwardness of a new move disappeares and the flow kicks in! adding music, these drills definitly have a cleansing effect for me. ill keep training as a form of psychohygiene and honest self expression. thank you for everything you do man! kind regards from austria!
I have been training openly on my front porch. I had to stop practicing explosive stuff that scares the hell out of people especially kids! I just gave my neighbor a lesson in basic stick. This one lady stopped her walk just to check out a session! Bring the community together! Love, Mike.
Dear Arnis Love to follow you at UA-cam. I'm just starderd practice eskrima/pangamot But now it's all shut down. Sinds i find you you are a real inspiration source for me in rough time. You are good to follow for a dutchman Take care en take care to everyone. Ow, BTW keep posting. One of your followers. USH🙏👌
Fantastic Paul! Keep them coming. Especially these counter/striking drills with footwork, be it with empty hands or weapons. Definitely helping me stay sharp and get a workout during Stay at Home orders.
Paul, thanks for another one of your excellent and informative videos. I really enjoy practicing Kali and how you integrate the didactical teachings of Kali as you parallel Kali with the clinical aspect of hand to hand / weapons training in a real time scenario of workouts that you instill in me. Paul, please keep them coming along.
Oh that is a nice one. Love the /\-triangle in the counter-offensive context. Didn't exercise that one lately, like at all - so thank you very much for the new cerebral fodder, maestro🧠🤙
Just to share, I found that slapping or backhand slapping a heavy bag (or any heavy bag substitute) can help a lot with the palm parrying in sparring. Just be careful with the wrists. Anyways, I love how your system doesn't care about orthodox/unorthodox stances like many other fighting styles.
Hi Sir. Why would your basic parry be with opposite hand (to threat) and not with same side outward motion ? It takes longer , It is less "naturale" and therefore less likely to be used. When sparring I have used my opponents inside block more than once to actually get him to block my hand , right into the side of his face. In my opinion there is room for this block(depending on stance) but used sparingly and by advanced students. Respectfully , Mordi

By the way, what's the use for the parry 1 and 2 it doesn't make sense
I think 1 is for deflection, 2 is to prevent to be hit with a come back from your opponent as you stepped to the outside after 1
I have tried many times with my Visa card but couldn't succeed
