This song is just too iconic to be covered, even by very talented singers... Sam was perfect and also he embodied all the pain in the song, he lived it. Whenever I listen to him I cry like a baby.

true, true, Sam Cooke has a beautiful voice, none are as good maybe, but I feel they each took a piece of that beauty and added in a his own thing and some of these covers especially did a good job.
