Around Windows 8 launch back in the day, a few brands already had this odd 2in1 form factor. There were so many 2in1 types. It didn't last long as everyone preferred the flip around or detachable variants of the 2in1. Perhaps people are ready for it now lol

I just hope Microsoft don’t slap a ridiculous price tag on it I mean don’t get me wrong Microsoft’s surface products are a built really well and have arguably among one of the best keyboards on a laptop to date or at least in my opinion they do from experience on a my surface laptop 3 but I feel like the prices are just over the top like 1800 for a surface pro that only gets you an intel core i5? I hope they price this where it can actually be realised and useful to people

Didn't they make a surface laptop in the past? I remember the surface tablets with the attachable magnetic keyboards. But then I thought they also released a surface laptop, that would flip and could be used as a tablet also and the OS would go into tablet mode

And as a general rule of thumb, if it looks like I can bend or crack it with the force of one hand, I probably can, and most of us wouldn't call that "sturdy". In any case, it will absolutely not feature the sturdiness of a full thickness standard laptop screen.

What does that have to do with anything? It is a computer-tablet for working adults which is why it has touchscreen, pen support, microSD, 1080p webcam, 2-in-1 design, 180 degree screen, detechable keyboard, etc. You know all the stuff Apple can't make...lol
@@msp5138 yes they cant....but they can give you a free keyboard and world best trackpad up to 20 hours battery life...faster SSD ...faster CPU a...Ipad and ios apps on laptop natively...all while costing way less than the base model of surface pro 3
I don't know how they expect comfortable usage when you're using it flipped in 360 mode, onse screen in front, one screen in back. The bump will hit the back and you'll be forced into a wedge shape rather than a flat phone
Surface Duo 2 may be the most minimalistic phone out there. Just turn of side notifications and you basically close it and don't get any notifications until you open it up. So no distractions whatsoever. Nice!
If you put a Fold 3 and Duo 2 on the table, more people will choose the Fold. People trust Samsung more than they do with Microsoft. And split-screen makes up having two displays. Two apps running at the same time.
I think the duo is the kind of device you didn't know you want until you have it while the fold has appeal before you even buy it. If you really think about it, the duo has 2 screens making multitasking easier while the fold can have more than one app on the screen but it becomes cramped. In the end, it just comes down to preference. Both the fold and duo are nice devices
Definitely wanna checkout the duo. I really hope in the future windows comes back as a mobile OS while taking advantage of the new windows 11 android apps capabilities. I used windows phone for a few years (now back on iPhone) and I miss it so much.
Excluding MS's catastrophically bad handling of the platform from an app perspective, Windows Phone, around the Lumia 950 time frame, is still the best phone experience ever.....
Literally all it needs is Windows 11. Put a mobile shell interface option on it for "phone use" and then toggle back to standard when using as a tablet. People have already done exactly this with Windows 10X/11 on old Lumia phones. No reason MS can't do it.

If there's one device that I'm very conflicted with is the redesigned surface duo. Sure they have handled the issues that were there in the first one but it's lost its aesthetic elegance. It's a device that doesn't want a camera bump because when you flip it in nolonger will be flush, plus somehow it's finish doesn't look as good as the previous one
I agree about the camera bump, but I guess the decision was between subpar cameras and a bump. I'm also a bit nervous about the curved displays because, as a Samsung owner, the one thing I've never really enjoyed is the curve. I'm not sure it'll make the screens feel more seamless as much as it will make it look like your content is disappearing into a couch cushion and coming back out.

Apple is the one you need to worry about succeeding. Laptop and desktop each have only 7% marker share. MacOS 8% market share and is now behind ChromeOS. iPhone 15% market share down from 40% in 2015. iPad 34% market share down from over 70% a decade ago.
When iJustine can see some day an iphone like that or an iphone foldable that day they have to take her to medical emergencies. You see in the unboxing of the iphone how she was so excited about a phone that is physically almost identical to last year. What I do have to agree with her is that Apple observes what other companies implement and improves it as the cinematographic mode that is fantastic. But you will see that in a couple of years because Apple is not going to hurt its sales of the ipad.
Why do people think you can only get excited if the outside aesthetic of a phone is vastly different than last year? It seems like people prefer : oh that's last year's tech it sucks now give me new everything VS : it's the thing you love, but better

She does not criticize anything on the phone, everything is wow. I have tried all the androids this year and the iphone would say that 60hz for the iphone regular models when mid-range phones already have 90hz, 120hz, 144hz, mid-range phones already have even larger photographic sensors and even more optical zoom etc. I have the iPhone 12 mini and I am not going to change it for the iPhone 13 mini because that is the size of the phone that I prefer and from the iPhone 12 mini to the 13 mini there is not a big jump. If you put all the iPhones on a table with the screen facing up from the X to here, they are all similar. You have to talk about the positive and negative things of a product and more when you are a technology reviewer or in the case of it a technology influencer because it what you say will make your followers choose a product well or not.

Surface Duo finally starting to look worth it. As far as dual screen phones go it’s my favourite design wise, but the specs and the general experience didn’t really impress me, especially considering the price. This looks a lot better.

I want both. I love my lgv60 but since LG is gone surface duo looks like the next phone in the lineup. The xbox controller and gameplay is what sold me as I love LG gamepad but since I only play xcloud games that will be perfect. Its a very capable looking device and a nice upgrade from the 1st one. The laptop as well. Looks like the perfect companion to my series x, surface headphones/xbox headset. Might as well keep all in the ecosystem. I just wish xbox made dedicated xbox series x TV and a 1440 version for series s.
I’m pleased to see the recyclable ocean plastic mouse just at $24.99, which, in my opinion, seems super affordable! Saving the planet shouldn’t come at a cost.
Have the fixed the charging port frame? Mine cracked after 3 months despite treating it with kid gloves and being so careful. Microsoft wouldn’t help either as I live in the UK and brought the first Duo when I was in the US
You know would be a killer feature for the duo, if the two screens had detachable hinges. Imagine if you could take off one side for when you didn't really need it then reattach it when you wanted to go into tablet mode
I'm super excited about the laptop, but it's not clear to me if in laptop mode you can tilt the screen at a different angle or the laptop has just those three specific positions...
At 1:50 you can tell that the two halves don't fold completely flat because of the huge camera bump on the back. Something that both Microsoft and UA-camrs aren't talking about.

When iJustine can see some day an iphone like that or an iphone foldable that day they have to take her to medical emergencies. You see in the unboxing of the iphone how she was so excited about a phone that is physically almost identical to last year. What I do have to agree with her is that Apple observes what other companies implement and improves it as the cinematographic mode that is fantastic. But you will see that in a couple of years because Apple is not going to hurt its sales of the ipad.
Why do people think you can only get excited if the outside aesthetic of a phone is vastly different than last year?
It seems like people prefer : oh that's last year's tech it sucks now give me new everything

@@RennieAsh Because people who are fanboy or fangirl as it is in her case blinds them. Marques Brownlee, Mrwhosetheboss, and unbox therapy are unbiased. She does not criticize anything on the phone, everything is wow. I have tried all the androids this year and the iphone would say that 60hz for the iphone regular models when mid-range phones already have 90hz, 120hz, 144hz, mid-range phones already have even larger photographic sensors and even more optical zoom etc. I have the iPhone 12 mini and I am not going to change it for the iPhone 13 mini because that is the size of the phone that I prefer and from the iPhone 12 mini to the 13 mini there is not a big jump. If you put all the iPhones on a table with the screen facing up from the X to here, they are all similar. You have to talk about the positive and negative things of a product and more when you are a technology reviewer or in the case of it a technology influencer because it what you say will make your followers choose a product well or not.
DeCsTiVi it would seem you don’t “have” to. It is not wrong to be enthusiast about a certain brand. Also she’s generally “positive” so yes, lots of wow personality to go round.
@@RennieAsh I saw the video because another youtuber that I follow was analyzing his reaction and the reaction of Marques Brownlee and one has to see both parts and the youtuber was really right. I don't follow her on any of her platforms.

Surface Duo finally starting to look worth it. As far as dual screen phones go it’s my favourite design wise, but the specs and the general experience didn’t really impress me, especially considering the price. This looks a lot better.
Gurl you and your sister can make anything sound exciting. I was going to purchase the first surface duo but with all the problems I decided against it. I’m going to wait until all the excitement is over for the Surface Duo 2 then make my purchase decision. Great video, my favorite UA-cam tech ladies and as always SO beautiful 💋💯👍🏽

I want both. I love my lgv60 but since LG is gone surface duo looks like the next phone in the lineup. The xbox controller and gameplay is what sold me as I love LG gamepad but since I only play xcloud games that will be perfect. Its a very capable looking device and a nice upgrade from the 1st one. The laptop as well. Looks like the perfect companion to my series x, surface headphones/xbox headset. Might as well keep all in the ecosystem. I just wish xbox made dedicated xbox series x TV and a 1440 version for series s.

I’m pleased to see the recyclable ocean plastic mouse just at $24.99, which, in my opinion, seems super affordable! Saving the planet shouldn’t come at a cost.
Have the fixed the charging port frame? Mine cracked after 3 months despite treating it with kid gloves and being so careful. Microsoft wouldn’t help either as I live in the UK and brought the first Duo when I was in the US

You know would be a killer feature for the duo, if the two screens had detachable hinges. Imagine if you could take off one side for when you didn't really need it then reattach it when you wanted to go into tablet mode
I don't see any benefit to your idea.
Cant wait for the duos to become sub 1k price. They are the way forward, the hybrid phone tablet. But still a dash on expensive side right now.

I'm super excited about the laptop, but it's not clear to me if in laptop mode you can tilt the screen at a different angle or the laptop has just those three specific positions...
The Studio laptop has my attention, curious to see its reviews.
With the new consumer oriented windows 11 and these devices. Microsoft has learned this new game of Exclusive First Impression, embargos and stuff.
At 1:50 you can tell that the two halves don't fold completely flat because of the huge camera bump on the back. Something that both Microsoft and UA-camrs aren't talking about.
That laptop screen is cool!
