If a car does its job well and it makes you smile, then its worth driving. My wife and I have a Jeep and it makes us smile every time we drive it and that's why we love it.
I agree when you said it's an emotional purchase. When I purchased my old Wrangler, it was because I have always dreamed of owning one but couldn't afford one until I saw a really good deal for a used one. But after three years of owning it, dealing with a lot of the negatives I've experienced (death wobble, fluttering hood, water leaking from the roof and so many more), I have scratched that itch and come to the realization that it just wasn't the vehicle I dreamed it to be. It isn't a vehicle catered for everyone, but for those lucky few who get the most joy out of it, it's a match made in modding heaven.
Great review Mark. I’ve had my JLUR for 2 years now and I’m still drawn to your review. Over 50 trails (many of them “hardcore”) later, my JL has proven durable and reliable. Now on 35’s and a 2.5” Mopar lift, I feel I’ve turned a corner from “fun vehicle” to a very long term vehicle. It’s really a great rig. Funny you mention the Miata in your review... I also have a 2020 Miata RF club, that I’m equally enthusiastic about.
I gotta say, I love your super-wide angle shots in tight spots on the underbody. And in this episode, there's surprisingly little distortion of the image at the periphery. It's definitely a creative way to give a better look at cramped spaces. This is one of many reasons I appreciate your videos. You always seem to be upping the production value with each episode.
You do know JD Power is an advertising co. You pay them for the results you want, you get the results you ponied up for. Seen the commercial tell you how all those ACTORS switched to GMC? There is NO CHEVROLATE It's all GMC! Feel duped yet??
Dan Rowley you do know this a running joke on this channel? We all know everyone on those commercials and 'awards' they win are all paid to sing the praises of such a premium, amazing and multi time award winning car co, gm
I agree with people that the price is eye-watering, but holy fuck these drive so much nicer than the previous generation. FCA made a real effort here, even if it isn't what everyone wants. If you really want a hardcore Wrangler you're probably going to buy an older one anyway. Attitudes and markets change. Cars that fail to adapt will cease to exist. I'd rather have a normie Wrangler than no Wrangler at all. Every car from every category is more refined now. For instance, a 2019 Miata, while light and small, is a far more comfortable car to spend time in than my 1991. Yet, it's still a Miata. The Wrangler, while being purpose-built to off-road in the beginning, is still a mass-market car that FCA needs to tweak in order to attract the largest possible audience. Like it or not, we enthusiasts are the minority, and appealing only to us will not make a car successful.
Its a chrysler product.. that price tag is gonna look even MORE like extortion when these leave you stranded offroad at 40,000 miles. Capability means nothing if its in the shop more than on/offroad.
@@bmxdoe thats not relevent in the slightest. Like saying you dont believe in cancer because u have never had it before. If you wanna gamble on overpriced garbage, by all means. But some of us know better
Ok as someone who owns a JL rubi and watched everything over the last year you knocked this out of the park. Great work. Please get into offroading, we need more technical stuff.I fee llike my entire life is spent searching forums.
A smart, intelligent and well done video. Enjoyed the Miata comparison. I've owned one and it was one of my all time favorite cars. I'm now ready to order my first Wrangler. 2 door. Manual shifter (the only way to drive.) Can't wait to begin my many new adventures behind the wheel of a Jeep.
As a New 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL owner I totally agree with everything he is saying. I knew what I was getting into when I bought mine and i dont regret it. I very much enjoy it much more than the previous JK model. As always, great review Mr. Goose.
Do you offroad it everyday? Why did you decide to purchase this car? It's just a shit car in every way imaginable unless you're offroading, I wouldn't want such a single use vehicle that costs so much.
Robotic Venom yeah, even if you live in State like Colorado and have steep driveway and like to go out off-roading fishing almost every weekend, you can probably just do it with 4 x 4 SUV. But until you drive Rubicon with doors and top off you don't know what you missing. The people who love the Jeep or just the same cult as the Miata Club. I can definitely imagine like the Jeep forever, or for some reason the Miata or Chevy SSR.
@@roboticvenom1935 I actually dont offroad at all. It's mostly my daily driver to and from work and it's pretty good in snow too. I just thought it would be fun to own one and drive it across state to go camping and just travel. It might not handle the best or get the best gas but I still enjoy it for what it is. I kinda get where you are coming from but you dont have to bag on it that much.
@@tallll70 I actually pull a small 14 ft boat too and go up north. I cant tow a huge boat because its towing isn't that impressive with only 3500 pounds of towing but it's enough for what I like to do. As for the top and doors off, it's very fun if you've never tried it before. It's quite the experience for sure.
Great to compare this to the MX5 simply because there are no competitors and to say they offer very similar experiences for those who really like to drive is spot on. I really like the Jeep, went and built one, $49K, ... sheesh. BTW, you have some of the best music in your videos, like to find the music from this one.
I've been a fan of Jeep since I bought my 2012 JKU 2 years ago. I absolutely love it... For me its driving doorless all summer...modifying it to my personality and just simply enjoy the outdoor when removing the top. The jeepwave is also cool...Jeep clubs are fun and interesting as well. Even if I find there are many flaws in my jeep that I absolutely hate... I am hooked for life!
Well it is a Jeep thing! The intro and the camerawork in the shoppe are out of this world. I have no idea about off-roading but could still enjoy and follow most of the details. You really transmitted the connection a driver can feel using this Jeep for it was meant to be used.
This video is NOT too long! Good honest summary. It's a fun vehicle. I prefer Corvettes but watch the off-road drives with Jeeps, and see the fun factor.
Good God. The production value of this video is SOO good! I’m learning about the Jeep, but can’t help also taking notes about the tracks and audio cut. Plus the cameras used are such great quality!
My second car (and the first car I chose for myself) was a used Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport, with the 4.0L engine and 5-speed manual. Except for the sound bar it was bare-bones - didn't even have AC. First thing I did was to get rid of the steel doors and replace them with cloth soft doors. Drove it open whenever possible. It was the best car I ever had in terms of fun - and, incidentally, in terms of reliability, too. Daily drove it for over eight years and the only out-of-schedule-maintenance was a wobbly turn signal stalk that had to be replaced for 30 bucks. That's it. Now, I'm driving a by comparison very refined, modern car which gets better MPG, is much safer and more luxurious - but it has become just an appliance.. a way to get from A to B, nothing more. But it is hard to justify to go back to a 20 MPG (or lower) vehicle - considering I drive mostly highway and the impact it would have on cost and environment. Also, the new Wranglers are just too fancy. Ah well, that's what video games are for... :P
Yeah I traded my 2017 Fusion with 4500 miles for a 2016 Rubicon with 22,000 miles and lost my ass financially. No regrets. Same as when I traded my 2014 Focus for the 2015 F150. When it's what makes you happy, the rest is irrelevant. IF I commuted like you do, I wouldn't have traded the Fusion. In no way is it a bad car. It's just that it's a car. No way would I commute in the Wrangler. It's kind of miserable. 😂
dchawk81 kind of is an understatement. My jk is awful on the freeway. I don’t know how people manage road trips in these things. I’m glad to have a trusty Chevy Tahoe.
@@pimpmyride7278 Probably why there are so many used ones on dealer lots. They can't afford to make the Jeep a toy and commuting blows in it. So alas they trade for something normal. I'm fortunate that even if I drove it every day, work is less than 6 miles and a state highway rather than interstate highway. Even for that I'm like...nah. 😂
dchawk81 - Man, I hate to admit it.. but your comments helped me realize the Jeep isn’t for me. I wanted a fun truck (was considering the Gladiator) but I would use it as a daily and if it’s that bad.. I better not risk it. It sounds like the Jeep is a good secondary vehicle.. one you take out on weekends for a little fun. If I could afford two vehicles I would do it.. but I can only get one good all purpose vehicle. Well.. Tacoma may be the winner here.
I enjoy it when you have Jack on here; he's really great in these videos. I have almost zero interest in the Wrangler and you still make it interesting enough to watch all 30 minutes of this.
I like that the JL Rubicon is sooo capable. This is something you buy and leave the hell alone. I mean nothing not even rims and tires. The Sahara is the same but for more on road use. If you buy the x or the sport then you can freely modify to hearts content. These are very expensive but hold the value well, just prey you get a model with good weld joints( issue on early JLs). As always top notch videogeneeering Goose man! Please more comedy bits with Toddd.
I'm a Jeep nut, 1st 4 wheel vehicle was a 1950 Jeep in about 1980. The 2007 Rubicon JK is my 4th Wrangler (1st auto yuck), bought new for $32,000 and I have 100,000 miles on it and it has never left me stranded and that's AZ 4x4ing, Moab, Montana, Colorado, etc. I've had death wobble, but was able to fix it with new HD parts. I've replaced the thermostat, and alternator. I have a 4 inch lift currently and 35 inch tires (regeared to 5.13's and its better than 4.10s stock with the stock sized 32s). Pypes exhaust which sounds amazing and get 19-20 mpg on the highway at 70-75 mph (I never thought exhaust would help, but it has by almost 2 mpg). I'm looking at the Gladiator as my possible next Jeep, but 6 year no payments has been a good thing. No other car I have owned has been so reliable. Anyway Nice Review, and it's a Jeep Thing.
At $50k its only a little more expensive than the '90's 4.0L Wranglers on Craigslist with a Ebay lift kits, light bars, and dry ratted old off-road tires.
Two things I don't like about this... It keeps getting wider. All the FCA electronics and potential reliability issues (seems like people with JKs either got a good one OR one that was plagued with reoccurring problems). I own a TJ with the 4.0 and a manual. It's unquestionably the most fun vehicle I've ever owned. Everything is really simple and it just works. I love the thing, it literally puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
TJs don't cost 50k either...my TJ probably has a less than a quarter of the things even an average JK or JL does that could possibly malfunction on it. It's 20 years old, has been basically trouble free for the 4 years I've owned it, and has never left me stranded. It just seems make some people defensive when they come across someone really happy and having as much (if not more) fun with their Jeep who doesn't have a $600+ a month payment. Sorry...but it's true. My TJ is everything I want in a Jeep right now and Toyota will continue winning votes with my wallet when it comes to expensive vehicle purchases. Would 100% rather deal with my 4Runners lack of hardcore rock climbing ability than FCA quality control issues any day. You won't find me paying for the privilege of being a beta tester...thanks but no thanks.
I have owned two Jeeps, several 4x4's, and am a former member of the 'Rough Riders 4-wheel drive club'. But where I live, the encroachment of civilization has overrun the places available to joyride without trespassing.
Thats why you look for places that dont have signs posted.. or if they do, find a way in that is away from the signs so you have plausible deniability.
Laughing about how serious MBA guy’s voice was when pointing out you’ll have a bad time in one of these driving it on the highway everyday. My serious voice response: “this BMW 5 Series struggles over rutted trails and rocks.” 😂 Just having some fun...great video guys, you really did your homework. Thank you.
Great review. Thank you for the detailed analysis of this great new vehicle. I just ordered a JL and your review makes me feel really good about the decision. :)
been trying ot talk my mom out of this vehicle..its so hard. She's reached middle age crisis where she has this incessive desire to be unique and different than her age group of Cayennes, X5s, and whatever
I’ve got a JK. It’s got all the technology I want or need. I’ve only had a few maintenance issues and they’ve all been minor. My son had a JL. It spent a lot of time at the dealers getting “fixed”. Most of the problems were electrical issues. This particular dealer’s service dept.is so bad it’s hard to believe they are still in business. The first time my son took it to them to fix an electrical problem, they had the Jeep for 8 weeks, supposedly waiting for parts. A few weeks after he got his Jeep, back more electrical problems developed related to a 4 wheel drive warning light. The dealer kept the Jeep for 12 weeks that time, supposedly waiting on parts. My son sold the Jeep when he got it back that time and bought a Toyota PU. The more technology a vehicle has the more likely there will be maintenance issues. The JL’s seem to have more problems than they should, and of course they have that well know corrosion issue that has become a class action lawsuit. I think the JK’s, manufactured with the 3.6L engine, might be some of the best model Jeeps on the market. I have no intention of trading my JK for a JL.
Really appreciate the time and effort put into making this informative video. It's worth watching twice. And, bless you for playing a violin concerto during the intro. So tired of the heavy metal/head banger sh!t that one must endure on most of the other Jeep videos.
Ive had a 2019 Sahara Unlimited for the last week while my truck was at the dealership for repairs. I felt the drivers seat was kind of cramped. I wear size 14 shoes and with Columbia outdoor boots on I had very little left over foot room. The model i've had is the removable hard top. Sadly it's been cold or rainy so I haven't been able to take it off but that being said it is extremely noisy. Which is to be expected. It is enjoyable to drive though. The transmission is great. The Jeep and the New Ram Rebel have the best "truck" transmissions I have ever driven. I took the jeep off road down some of the same trails that I take my 4x4 truck through and the jeep felt like it was having a much easier time then my truck down the same trails even without locking diff's on the Sahara. I can see why it has a cult following. I don't think I would want one as my daily driver but it would be a great second vehicle for me.
A tractor is a tractor even if is equipped with a soft or a hardtop this thing is made only for the Rubicon trail and for this trail might be the best but still are also great offroad vehicles out there who can offer more and i m not going to name any of them just to avoid waking rebellious spirits. I must say that i haven't seen in the entire youtube a better JL Präsentation than this. Great explanation and description of the subject great videography and great music. Congratulations Mark and Jack made also a great guest star.
The JL is very livable everyday. I’ve had mine for 2 years and it’s really a pleasant experience even around town. Obviously it excels off road. Best sound system (OEM) in just about any vehicle, great luxury features, etc.
Anthony Lopez ... hey Anthony. If you have a choice I’d recommend the JL. Ride quality has been greatly improved, but the JK is a reliable vehicle as well. Good luck !
Johnny V - Thanks Johnny. Ya, I’m either going to get a 2-door JL or the Gladiator. Assuming I like the test drive. It’s odd hearing you say it’s reliable.. I’m constantly hearing the opposite.
Great vid as usual, but the biggest thing I'm taking away from this is that FCA has a Pentastar V6/manual combo that for some reason is not being put in the Challenger and Charger. A base model Challenger/Charger with this combo would sell pretty well I think, so if you're watching Mr. Gilles, please consider it!
Ppl rarely get it right when they do reviews. But I think you guys got it pretty close to exactly right. Take the good with the bad, Pro's with the Cons and its NOT the best vehicle on the road. Buttttttt we didn't expect it to be! We justtttt wanna get muddy and get dirty and OFF ROAD! Haha for someone who's owned 3 Jeeps I can tell you, you got it exactly right. The Jeep Wrangler Sahara when you get up to highway speeds it really is quite shaky and that's just something one has to know before buying and be somewhat comfortable with and get used to. The hard tops really aren't as bad though. I also owned a Patriot, the Patriot is good for just ripping around the city, its almost just like a car and gets fairly good gas mileage. The Jeep I own now is my favorite Jeep I have ever owned by far. I suggest anyone who likes Jeeps and wants the best of both worlds, as far as off road capability AND Luxury and comfort, I suggest you go for and or try out the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. That's what I have now. I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Bought it back into 2017. Loveeeeeee it, love it, love it, love it, love it. Haven't had single problem with it since I've owned it. Its so comfortable and luxurious. I'm just comfortable in it. I love how it feels to drive. Especially in the Winter and it goes off road really well. There are no issues high way driving, its actually quite comfortable. The only thing is, its about $100 to fill up the entire tank. So all my fill ups are done@ Costco where I save about $10/per fill up lol. So the Grand Cherokee gives owners the Off Road AND Luxury. The Patriot gave me a nice little compact experience, that was still fairly good off road believe it or not. It couldn't go everywhere my Grand Cherokee can go, butttt it got me to most of the places I wanted to go and ONLY COST half of what it costs to fill up my current Grand Cherokee. I miss my Patriot, but I'm happy to have moved onto something bigger and better. Love how high I sit up in my Grand Cherokee now. I'm honestly just super happy to be driving it every day and I feel super privileged. I enjoyed the review guys!
Miata is always the answer.👍👍😎😎😁😁 You guys always do such a great job on reviews!👍👍👍 above 70...your gonna have a bad time.😁😁 Drove several. Got the Grand Cherokee. Still have Wrangler envy when I se a nice one.
Well, I know this review is 4 years old now and I bought my 2020 a few years ago because of reviews just like this one. I don't know if I got a lemon or what, but I have never been so disappointed in a vehicle in all my life as I am with my 2020 Rub, what an overwhelming P O S this thing has been. Electrical problems, replacing visors ever three months, three years of transmission problems that still haven't been fixed and the best/worst problem, or should I say most dangerous problem is the phuking death wobble that almost cost my wife and I our lives on HWY 1 in N. California. We literally came within inches of going over a cliff into the pacific because the Jeep became unstable and uncontrollable because of a death wobble at the posted speed limit of 55mph. When I brought the Jeep into the dealership I was told that it was because the steering dampener was damaged. Some $300 later and the very next time we drove it, it happened again. After doing some research I find out its actually the cheep ass steering box and aluminum housing and bolts they used, they just replaced the steering dampener and charged me for it because I'm guessing they dealer and the corp didn't want to foot the bill to actually fix the problem which by the way is a pretty common issue. Everyone I know with a newer Jeep is having the same issue with the death wobble. The other day I was at the grocery store and when I came out to leave the thing wouldn't go into revers. The shift lever would go into reverse but the transmission wouldn't go into reverse and I had a blinking P on the dashboard. After pushing this expensive P O S out of the parking space it did go into drive and took it to the dealership to have it fixed. I was told that I wasn't pushing down on the break hard enough which is complete BS because while I was waiting, I google the exact problem and as it turns out, its a pretty common problem with the JL's that its a failing shift solenoid but instead of replacing it under warranty like they should they adjust it, blame it on the consumer/owner and the problem returns in a six months. I keep getting a check engine light and the tranny will not shift out of second, bring it in and they say its just an anomaly and the clear out the code and a week later it happens again. a few months ago the thing wouldn't start had all kinds of faults, had it towed to the dealership and was told both batteries had to be replaced, $1000. later and a week later it happens again and I am told its now a control unit and when I tell them I just paid $1000 bucks for new batteries and labor I was told that the control unit was damaged by the bad batteries. I then got on the phone with corp and explained the situation and was told that they would replace the control unit at a discount but the vehicle was now out of warranty and they would only be doing me a favor. I had to threaten to get a lawyer involved and they finally agreed to fix the Jeep under warranty. I am done with Jeep, and just put $40k down on a new Bronco, Jeep can kiss my azz. I have a 2020 Rubicon for sale with the top lift and door rack for sale if anyone is interested, N. Cali. 72,000 miles on it and all maintenance records. If I don't sell it I will just give the thing to my son.
I'm getting too old and I'm too tall to climb in and out of my GTi and I live on a dirt road and spend weekends on the dirt roads all the time in my Tundra, which is just too huge for single lane trails. I decided to go try a JL and see if I fit (6'5"). I used to own a 2005 LJ Unlimited, 4.0L and 6spd manual. I liked it but it was just a horror on highway, bad brakes, slow, rowing the manual in traffic was just terrible. I took out a Willys 2DR (I want it small) in the 8spd auto. I was surprised I fit (relatively) and it's way easier for me to get in and out of than the GTi. The noise level with the 3pc hard top is night and day compared to my 05 and not much noisier than my Forester XT and the Willys has MT tires on it. The acceleration is very solid, allows for breaking it loose any time you want and at 65 it still has guts to pass where my old 05 was just a dog on the highway. The brakes are very good. The 8spd auto even in 4L just works great. I took it down class 5 roads, heavy washboard at 40+ mph and the thing just sings along. It's a budget rally car and that is exactly what I want from it for my use. I pulled into the dealer after the drive and opened the hood to look at the 3.6L and ... it was the 2.0T. I am so impressed with the 4cyl, I felt like I was filming a Jeep commercial for the 4. The whole experience was so unfortunately good that I'm almost certain the GTi is going away for this Jeep. It's the GTi for New Hampshire class 5 roads and snow. The short WB of the 2DR, the twitchiness, the power of the motor to break it loose, it makes driving it super fun. With the GTi, where it gets fun is a threshold where I get tickets or wind up doing something far worse. It brings me back to my early cars where pushing them took careful attention and focus to learn how to overcome behaviors where too many things now are so automated and buttoned down that they take the experience away.

Kinda funny you mentioned that... I am a Miata guy and when I test drove one of these just out of boredom got me hooked... I might have 2 convertible cars in my garage one sports car one SUV lol
The soft top isn’t that loud. It also cools off faster in the summer and heats up quick in the winter. I prefer the soft top, having owned both. It’s a solid axle too. It’s gonna ride different.
I rented a four door gladiator and was pretty disappointed by how terrible it handles. It's super slow to respond. Humping a tranquilized pillow on a waterbed.
@@anthonygiordano3991 we rented one, and we also rented a beat to death unlimited in Las Vegas at Fox rent a car last week. You couldn’t be more right about comparing a wrangler to a Miata… especially a 2 door! I always tell people that and they look at me funny! I like to try different shots that are not gimmicky. They will improve further as I figure them out
Best in class, most premium review as always mr.goose. JD Power/Consumer Reports approved review
I've seen a lot of Wrangler videos. This is one of the best. The camera work, narration and graphics
were all very nicely done. Good job guys.
Might be the last of the JL videos but it was definitely the best.
Please do more reviews like this with Jack. Great fkn vid guys.
Watched countless videos on the JL and garnered more knowledge and insight from this video than the last two dozen. Excellent information gentlemen.
Well said mate!
Its a chrysler product.. that price tag is gonna look even MORE like extortion when these leave you stranded offroad at 40,000 miles. Capability means nothing if its in the shop more than on/offroad.
@@dr._breens_beard did that happen to you?
@@bmxdoe thats not relevent in the slightest. Like saying you dont believe in cancer because u have never had it before. If you wanna gamble on overpriced garbage, by all means. But some of us know better
@@dr._breens_beard Still waiting for that to happen 190 000k in! 🤘
"...need a mountain goat to get in..." Mark, any time you make me laugh out loud, automatic thumbs up 😆😆
My buddy picked up a 2018 JL with the 2 liter turbo. I as well was very impressed by the pull of the engine off the line.
Throw a turbo on the 3.6 v6 and say bye bye to that 2.0
Ok as someone who owns a JL rubi and watched everything over the last year you knocked this out of the park. Great work. Please get into offroading, we need more technical stuff.I fee llike my entire life is spent searching forums.
A smart, intelligent and well done video. Enjoyed the Miata comparison. I've owned one and it was
one of my all time favorite cars. I'm now ready to order my first Wrangler. 2 door. Manual shifter
(the only way to drive.) Can't wait to begin my many new adventures behind the wheel of a Jeep.
@@tallll70 Its funny that you mention the Miata. I actually have a 2016 Miata that's my summer car. So I am part of both clubs 😂
"Curls for the girls" I LOL'd! 😆
Worst part is you'll look broke in one but you'll actually spend a lot on one. This is one of the few vehicles that can do this.
We love our JL. A couple short shop visits for updates fixed small problems we had with steering and glitchy screen.
If I was a JEEP Fanatic, I would choose the BAD ASS looking Rubicon over the Sahara, with out even thinking about it.
Happy Car Reviews it’s worth it in cost over the long term as well if you plan to off-road. The parts aftermarket will run you way more later on
@@jaybosher6144 👊🏼
I’ve seen so many “reviews” on the JL. Bought a Rubicon last week. That said, this video was very informative and fun to watch. Thanks!
Well.. Tacoma may be the winner here.
it is so awsome to see how far jack has come with the lastest geese videos.
We really enjoy our Wranglers. Nice thorough review.
Thank you for this video and all the depth. I’m considering purchasing a JL and this is the most informative video I’ve seen. Incredibly helpful!
I like the Middle Eastern intro music to this video. Badass man lol 🔥👌
Best review for the Jeep Wrangler JL that I have seen. I have watched the majority of them! Very thorough!
3.6 pentastar is actually a very good engine. most of our work vans have over 500k on that eng. Most deveope rocker tick but run forever with it.
I enjoy it when you have Jack on here; he's really great in these videos. I have almost zero interest in the Wrangler and you still make it interesting enough to watch all 30 minutes of this.
These videos are getting better and better. Excellent work with the camera shots.
It’s great out of the box, but Jeep warranties their Mopar lift and 35” tires, so why not? More capable, looks better.
You guys make absolutely amazing reviews! Knowledge (way more than other ones!), funny, sound, filming angles, etc… Keep it up!
I started dying with the curling clip 😂 I love the humor bits you add in man it’s hilarious 🔥
Well best jl wrangler review right here
What can I say ..... Really Excellent comprehensive review. !!!
At $50k its only a little more expensive than the '90's 4.0L Wranglers on Craigslist with a Ebay lift kits, light bars, and dry ratted old off-road tires.
Exactly. 10 year old Wrangler with 75k and hacked suspension.....33k
Man, your reviews are one of the kind, such a great work.
I love the birds singing in the background 🐦
Informative, cinematic, entertaining. This production was amazing. Thank you for the video
I love the thing, it literally puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
lmao as if TJs don't have electrical issues themselves
Give me a break, this completely shits on every Wrangler of the past
@@masterwhopper414 it sure does
masterwhopper414 Really classy response.
Hippie Bits don't act like TJs are a marvel of engineering... yj> tj 😀
Jeeps are so much FUN! I
Every time I watch one of your videos, I wonder why you don't yet have 10 times more subscribers. Mind-boggling.
Renil Ravindran who cares
You might have been late to the JL review show, but you still came with class.
Almost a third of a million views and only 4.8k thumbs up - people be smoking crack. Great review!
Love the long reviews because you guys have great content and of course the post cast skits are classic 😂.
You're the 4th person I know that had a kid at 11 years old.

You guys do such an awesome job with this review!!👍👍👍 Great analogy of driving Wrangler vs Miata and sports cars. Interesting.👍👍👍
One of The Most Comprehensive Review !! Thanks :)
Excited to buy my first Jeep soon! This video made me even more excited lol
I appreciate your work. Thanks!
Great video, very accurate and thorough. I had a JK and now a 2019 JLUR. Thanks !
Any issues with either one? I’m considering buying one but a little nervous at reliability.
Just picked up a 2019 Rubicon unlimited this weekend. Fun truck.
How are the monthly payments
Why? It's only fun off-road, I hope you don't daily drive this thing.
M C A why you worried about his payments?
Robotic Venom its daily drivable for sure unlike that lowered crap on your thumbnail hit a road reflector and you have to get a realignment
Supreme Leader Spock why do you need him to pick you something up?
I love the Japanese enka shamisen soundtrack too.LOL
Seriously thought about buying a new JL,fortunately sanity kicked back in.

Love my JLUR! Best vehicle I have EVER owned!
What makes it the best vehicle? This guy was saying it’s loud, shaky, pricey, can’t hear phone calls. Just wondering why you think it’s the best?
@@anthonygiordano3991 I said best ever I, me, myself, not you, not them but I have owned. He has his opinion and I have mine. Not everyone likes them. I have had Jeeps for a long time and this is by far the best one I have owned. Its comfortable, quiet especially with the hard top. I don't do the soft tops. Its either hardtop or nothing other than my #spiderwebshade for a bit of shade. It drives nice even though mines lifted and now on 35 inch tires. Its amazing off road. Took it to Moab and I was amazed at what it handled.
Slightly Less Fat - I’m just trying to decide on buying my first Jeep. I’ve never owned one and I don’t off-road, I just like the look and the way you can modify them. I’m considering either the two door Wrangler or the Gladiator. You’re right, everyone has their own opinion but the problem is, some guys say they are noisy, only good as a secondary vehicle, not reliable, not safe, horrible daily’s, and would never drive them on the highway because they’re too loud. But then I get guys like you, who say it’s the best vehicle, it’s not that bad, it’s quiet and a nice ride. It’s really hard to determine what to believe! I haven’t test driven it yet but how much can you really get from a 10 minute test drive? I appreciate any of your recommendations and thanks for your feedback.
@@anthonygiordano3991 I have to apologize. I read your comment as snarky to my comment. Let me re-reply to you:
The best thing you can do is go drive one. The JLU has come along way even from the 2018 JKU. I have heated seats and steering wheel with cloth interior. You can get them in leather, which I do not like because I can't imagine having the panels and roof off with the sun heating them up to hotter than the surface of the sun, then setting my bare legs on them. Yeesh! But that's just me. The Gladiator is cool. Its like the best of both worlds. 7600# payload Wrangler with a truck bed. But, like I said, go test drive all the models and see what works for your budget. Go check out my UA-cam channel. I have a few videos on my Jeep.
Slightly Less Fat - No worries man.. I understand. I agree, I think I just need to test drive them and see how they feel. I may get into it and start driving and realize that it’s not for me at all. I guess I’ll find out! Sure, I’ll check out your page and your videos. I’m just doing so much research right now and trying to learn as much as possible. I don’t want to have buyers remorse. I might even ask you a few more questions, if you don’t mind. Thanks again for your help and advice.
Literally the two cars I was contemplating on LOL 4:40
Kinda funny you mentioned that... I am a Miata guy and when I test drove one of these just out of boredom got me hooked... I might have 2 convertible cars in my garage one sports car one SUV lol
I've been contemplating getting a Jeep...or a Miata 😂
@@JoshuaTootell I ended up getting a 21 Gladiator lol. Funny notification popped up
The soft top isn’t that loud. It also cools off faster in the summer and heats up quick in the winter. I prefer the soft top, having owned both. It’s a solid axle too. It’s gonna ride different.
I love the blue color
I'm still waiting on a 2 door version of the Gladiator hopefully by the time it comes out, it'll come with a diesel.
diesel its done
I rented a four door gladiator and was pretty disappointed by how terrible it handles. It's super slow to respond. Humping a tranquilized pillow on a waterbed.
Nate - Wow, that’s good to know. I usually hear that they handle well due to the longer wheel base. I’m considering buying one but still not sure.
@@anthonygiordano3991 we rented one, and we also rented a beat to death unlimited in Las Vegas at Fox rent a car last week. The gladiator had 8k miles and the unlimited had 70k worth of being beaten to death in the desert. The unlimited rode nicer and could actually live in regular sized parking lots. The gladiator is as long as a 2500 crew cab short box. Turning radius is terrible comparative to unlimited.
@@Nate-qh2hx lmao it is not as long as a 2500 long box.
This dude is funny as heck!! There are so many jokes in everything!!
These things will hold up their resale value pretty well but the high maintenance costs kinda negates the lack of depreciation with these Jeeps.
I think I heard Renault was wanting to buy FCA. Buy them while they are this good, quality and reliability are in the air even more. RFCA
I never had an issue with my JK rubicon. Oil changes and tires. Thats it.
LucasHaines the parts themselves are expensive when they do wind up needing replacement
Very comprehensive video!! Thank you!
You couldn’t be more right about comparing a wrangler to a Miata… especially a 2 door! I always tell people that and they look at me funny! I bought my first wrangler because I wanted the size and freedom of a Miata and the capability and toughness of a cherokee (I owned both back to back before that)
Excellent review, and not too long at all
I love this car in the night cold!!
"Turbowski tuning Ford freestyles" lmao! im dying
