I used the previous one as a civilian contractor, great tool on the field.
What for did you use it in civilian use?
@@dopler3 urban recon, I obviously cannot say more due to NDAs and contract with the DoD, but my daily job is XR firearms training development, so you can draw your conclusions, stay safe!

FLIR capability is actually crazy one. Imagine how it could highlight concealed targets in a matter of seconds.
Realistic range is 2 km , so short range. Perhaps uncle sam willing to pay 200k, but no one else would. Also will lose them during normal use like any drone. most militaries would want larger drones with longer range, that can drop grenades.
Well the UK and france use them, with the UK spending 20 million for about 200 of them. So there is clearly a use for them.
If this can save a soldier's life it's worth it. It costs more than $200K to train a new soldier!

This thing is amazing, but you know what would make it really scary?? If it carried a couple almost microscopic needles with hollow centers filled with ricin. Then it wouldn't just be a recon drone, it would quite literally be an assassination drone too. 😮
... that'll teach the opposing officers to wear their ranks in the field!

There's something similar in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. It doesn't look anywhere near the same, but the same concept. A recon drone. Hell, I guess Star Wars Battlefront had this with the sniper class's scout drone.
Wow the graphics of call of duty have really came to life over the years. 😂 I’m jp! This is an awesome little uav and I’m sure this thing will save more American soldiers than we could even imagine and I am very thankful to that.

DJIs are consumer drones. This one is built and tested for battlefield use.

I have the "Toy" RC Version that has AI technology that recognises people's and cars 😀

I also have the RC ERA C128 which is almost identical to the Black Hornet Nano 3.
I'm trying yo figure out how to get a red led in the tail boom to flash lile the nano 3 does.
And looking for carbon fiber blades and tail rotor that will make my rc version as Silent the BLACK Hornet 3 and 4....
Anyone at FLIR suggest any Blades for the main rotor and tail rotor to use?
My main blades are 90mm and tail is 50mm.
Hope to show FLIR my rc version of the nano 3 some day looking like and flying with stealth low noise and flashing Position light like these Blaxk hornets do...
