I just had a kitchen reno which included new cabinets. Some doors need hinge restrictors. I asked my cabinet guy how they install. He just unscrewed one hinge, popped the restrictor in with his fingers and reattached the hinge. Literally
The restrictor clip can be installed while the door is on the cabinet. I would also recommend using furniture pads to protect countertops, cabinet doors and floors. Nice video, thank you.
nope, very possible. Just open the door a little and use needle nose to drop in. Takes a little dexterity and is easier if you block the door to just the right opening but much better than removing 20 doors in the kitchen
Thanks for this tutorial, but Put a towel down on that nice counter with that nice wood door. My last 2 houses had counters and tables damaged with guys plopping tools and projects down. I didn’t notice till they left, so my problem. All men watching this, please protect the working surface.
TIP: you don't need to remove door to install these, just one hinge at a time, actually you can just put one restriction clip per door to get the effect you want.
I bought these and havent installed them yet, but I have pull out drawers behind my cabinets and need a 90 degree angle opening so that these drawers could slide out.. think these could still work??
The very existence of this video helped me solve a problem I wasn't even sure could be solved. Thank you for this!

How?
Can you tell me how you do this while the door is on the cabinet?
A video would be great.
Not possible

@@btray77 one hinge at a time remove one screw from cabinet, close hinge, put it in, open hinge, screw it back to cabinet.
Exactly what I needed, thanks for the concise instructions!
Solved my problem. Never knew these existed. THANKS!
Great instructions! Don't forget to protect the cabinet door from scratching maybe with a towel between the door and counter top...

Totally agree.........As a cabinet installer, I try to protect everything on the jobsite.

Nice explanation- thanks! But please turn your phone camera to shoot landscape. Movies are always shot in landscape:)
that's good info and I really needed the english subtitles. :)
Going try one at a time while the cabinet is still hanging. Ty.
Thanks for posting this! Just installed 20 on 10 doors in my cramped kitchen. Paid $25 for all 20 shipped! eBay!
How do I know which hinge I have and where to get the restrictor clips?
Wow. Than you so much for these easy to follow instructions. The video that Blum put out doesn’t show you anything close up.
Great video
How can these be installed without removing the door from the cabinet?
These worked great for most of our cabinets, but the ones in our kitchen it opens them too much still. Are there more size options?
This was so helpful. Thank you!
what about inset hinges? I can't seem to find restrictor clips for my Blum soft close hinges...
Nice video. Could not be any easier. Thanks
We need the hinges which are in the vedio.. where can we get these hinges in India?... Preferably Chennai.
Hello, I have non soft close hinges. Where can I buy just the soft close mechanism insert?
I bought these and havent installed them yet, but I have pull out drawers behind my cabinets and need a 90 degree angle opening so that these drawers could slide out.. think these could still work??
Thanks!
What is the part number and where to get it. I assume there is only one item piece for this brand, yes/ no?
Can this be used with any brand full overlay soft close hinge? Thank you
No these clips are for Blum overlay hinges only
Thank you
I tried this and they were too small and fell out right away.
do I really need to install 2 per door? The cabinet shop told me 1 is enough...
I was wondering the same thing. I have one set of tall doors with 3 hinges.
Generally 1 will suffice (especially on the lightweight doors in the video). On tall doors, you may need 2
Thank you!!
Thank you!
how easy is that. thanks
Thanks for the video, but this video could have been done in about 10 seconds...
No it was perfect
The instructions that come with this package is ridiculous
