Those generation Chevy fullsize pickups with those headlight bezels & grille designs are super rare nowadays. 81 & 82 were the only years for them. Chevy & GMC produced those generation fullsize pickups, SUVs, & medium duty models from 73 - 91 except in 87, they stopped producing the plain cab pickups like that one there.
I'm really looking forward to driving this one around a bit. I love that it's mostly original. I've got a pretty modified 72 C10 that I keep, but I'm a sucker for original stuff.
Just got a mostly original 1981 but it is not nearly as nice as that one. Sat in a barn for 22 years but took water damage and had animals living in it, lol. Runs like a top, though! I'm in KC, sure wish the vehicles here held up like they do in Cali! Got a ballpark-ish price in mind for that old beauty?
That is awesome! I love that you're saving your 81 from wasting away and continuing to be an animal habitat. I bet you have some great "before" photos. I'm not 100% sure on pricing yet, still figuring out what I'll have invested after replacing the engine block and getting the air conditioning going. When it comes back I will post another video.
