Dennis saying "I haven't done a Cougar in awhile" is priceless .
Yeah, I caught that too....😎
@12:05 "you're gonna have another beautiful load sean".........that one hit the cringe meter a little too lol
Haha...right?
And Sean stating that, it's not about the size🤣
🤣🤣
Shawn was NOT feeling this...he wanted a snatch and grab and a NAP 🤣
I noticed that as well.
he needs coke
He says, "my back is messed up" @ 5:42
@@Robert.Levi.Miller Shawn is Generally Really Good Help.everone has a bad day now and then
@@michaelfraser5723 seems like Dennis was extra hopped up today
Dennis and Shawn were sounding like an old married couple deciding how to load that car on the trailer.🤣
I thought the same thing when they were going on about if they should jump it or not.
shawn is right , you don't want to load a car with no brakes going downhill .... you can control its movement with the winch going uphill , if it's going down it could roll towards the front of the trailer with no control
Shawn annoys me for some reason. He just has a bad attitude sometimes. If he could walk a mile in someone else's shoes for about a year he'd realize what an amazing opportunity it is to work for a guy like Dennis.
Fighting for position?
@@TheAgentAssassin Ive been feeling the same. He's got a jealous type attitude..
I love the way Dennis always includes Zach, even though he is on the camera and can't answer back. A lot of productions would just ignore the camera guy, but not Dennis; Dennis appreciates anyone who works their ass off and helps make the team a success. Zach certainly fits the bill on that account.
Dennis treats him like a son
He just continues to show us that he's the real deal and a class act.
Outstanding
@@tonyrhoton6613 lol how could you possibly know that
Like always I will put on your show each week or so, and the world around me melts away for that half an hour. Its almost like coming along with you guys and then having to go back home at the end. Other shows are good but I usually do not ride shotgun with them. Thanks for bringing me along.
I look forward to this every week. Dennis is an amazing guy.
Shaun P is about as enthusiastic as a wallflower on this episode.
Dennis if you're interested I know of a antiquated junkyard in Arizona that you might want to take a look at
It looks like Shawn’s back was killing him. I know the feeling and it’s not fun. What a trooper. Way to hang in there brother.
D4 music

He's just a complainer
I'd love to see that Cougar restored, those cars are way underrated, then and now.😉👍
Watched the show Today and afterword headed straight to Pucket's which is 5 minutes from my home and for the first time in my life ordered the meatloaf as until now thought nobody could outdue my wifes it's her birthday by the way told her we'd go wherever she wanted as long as it was Puckets LOL anyway it was Outstanding!
Always love the content. You guys do an amazing job. Never took a meatloaf road trip before but maybe it's about time.
Shout out to you Mr Collins, your content never disappoints, much love from South africa 🇿🇦
Thanks for thoughts, commenting… Interestingly, always enjoy other/ different/foreign/ perspectives on some of this UA-camRS , ETC**! I am from NORTHERN INDIANA ( Indy500,races, Studebaker, Duesenbergs, etc), & ending life in HELENA VALLEY, MONTANA ( BIG GRANDEURS, & GRANDKIDS,etc),,
Finding the old cars, meeting the owners and finding the local places to eat is awesome. Thanks for bringing it to us each week every time I take the old cars out or go part hunting I always make the most of it. Look forward to seeing more
Cougars are not that rare. Go to a college bar you'll find plenty. An hour early today I see. Ok
Bah dah dat tooshhh… haaa! Good one!
You don't listen wel I think
What you smokin? Im in Colorado the home of rust free cars. I havent seen any old cougars running around but a couple restored ones in years!
Cougars are not rare! But this one is. You can say the same about mustangs of the same year too.
Bor it's not that Cougers are rare an S code Couger GT with a four speed is extremely rare the vast majority of Cougers were automatic.
I’d love to see some before and after full restoration videos... or have I missed something? GB
I really wish I would have known about Dennis when I sold my collection of 55, 56, 57 T-Birds a few years ago. I had several show winners. All original and unrestored. I had a California born 56 with factory air 14k original miles. Anyhow, I love watching these rescues.
Wow! Nice
Yeah I think you had some desirable cars. Dennis could have made you famous
my dad had a '59 Galaxie 500 "retractable" with a 312 t-bird engine w/ a four barrel and a four speed.
I love how Shawn is like kk let’s load this thing and hit the road. Let me do my thing lol love it. Dennis has a ton of knowledge but I know exactly how Shawn is feeling. I’m sure he’d be just as excited if he owned it.
Here's a difference between Dennis and co and Richard's millenial. Dennis is interested in details about the car and the codes. How rare something is, negotiating etc. Richard's millenials eyes glaze over and add elevator music to drown it out.
I want to hear about these cars as they are only getting rarer year by year. Personally I love the Cougar more than the Mustang. I like bigger cars to begin with.
I love to see new episodes every Friday it brings back my childhood memories . Great looking 71 Chevy truck .
That three on the tree takes me back to the F100 Sport Custom, three on the tree 302 learned to drive on…kids today have no idea “the fun” that was to experience…thank you for what you all do! All the cars of our (my) youth get to see again!
For us it was our Aunt's chevy nova! Good times
Nice u got to drive f100
I have one 71 sport custom short bed 302 original and yes those r nice trucks
Might sound weird but I hope to be as balanced in life as Dennis seems. Always happy, appreciative, abundant and enjoying the moment. Lessons to all of us 🙌📈
Agreed.
His perspective is outstanding.
It'd be good to be in Dennis Collins's Tribe!
You’d be happy to with his $$$
@@RDMash you might be right? however, I have met and known several absolutely miserable wealthy people
Such a great relationship between the boss and his staff
🤣 you can Cut the tension what a knife
if i could retire now, I'd do so and go work for Dennis. the knowledge he shares is crazy.
and he buys ya lunch!
The young gentleman that was selling the Cougar was a cool dude.
i would prefer the cougar over mustang any day!! screams classy hot!!!!
Shawn P not awake today early. Looks like he been driven all night, at least after a good meal, he,s back to the old SP. great find Dennis. Another one rescued.
Oh this brought back so many memories. As a late teen I had a 68 Cougar XR7 Gt. 390 with an auto. Had the overhead console. Red on Red. Crazy fast car. Had it 3 or 4 years and sold it. That guy lost control and destroyed it into a tree. Wow to have it to do over lol
I had a 67 289. My mom bought it new and gave it to me in 77. I drove it 2 years, it got stolen and totaled. I'm still pissed. 😄
I’m here for the COUGAR!
But you ain’t seen rare yet
So funny! I am 51. I've never seen this body style growing up. There are 2 on different farms within a mile from me. My Dad and i have been talking about them for a month.
Sean looks to be out of sorts in this video, not taking the initiative to get things loaded, not having a jump box, maybe he just got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning
Yeah Shawn was laboring in this one, looked a little stiff and sore. That wonderful food you had picked him up :D Great stuff as always Dennis, keep 'em coming!
I'm 67 and the owner of a 67 cougar for the last 47 years, you can get any part for these cougars at west coast classic cougars
This shout out is for Zach , his work truly outshines all the big you tubers big boys. Gas Monkey has a bunch of people, so does Diesel Dave, Fantomworks, etc. Zach’s quality outshines them all.👍
Thank you Mark!
Back in 1972, I was working for my Dad at his body shop....his mechanic brought in a 68 Cougar that had a 427 4 speed....I got to drive it.....man that rig would $HIT AND GET!
All the 68 Cougars with a 427 GT E were automatic cars.
427 Side Oiler would have been a rare Cougar for sure... Special order.
@@leddygee1896 Didn’t have to special order to get a GT E, but not many were made. 357 GT E were produced with the 427.
244 68 Cougars with the 428CJ.
I remember back in the day, seeing "full color ads" for a Cougar Eliminator! I grew up in SW Ontario & I never ever seen a real one on the road here. Of course I wanted the 428CJ version, as I was 16 at the time.🤩
Nice car. I have a 67 Highland Green 289 factory 4 speed XR7 with swing away wheel , four piston front disc brakes and styled steel wheels. It is NFS.
What's that guy complaining about,,,,,,,,work?....this is fun,,,,,DoooooD,,,your on camera,,,,,,,,,,,,,,...we see.cheerup
EyeEatMyMommysMeatLoaf&MashWithMyFingersPlusCoffeeTalk?
@1:35 Oh wow! An AT-REE-UMMM! I'll say this Dennis my boy! You sure do know how to spend your money GOOD!.
There's lots of folks have money, but it is amazing how many of them don't know how to spend it, and enjoy it. Ya know?
But Dennis be careful with that speed. You are pretty wired up in this video.
Look forward to every Friday!!!! Dennis, you and your team are awesome!
I had a 67’ XR7 took a car loan on it brother in-law put a mustang floorboard in it because it was rusted I blew up the 302 motor my other brother in-law put a 289 in it! this was done for me pretty much for free! Because they were my mentors not just in-laws This was in 1990. Man if I could go back! I’d still have it!
I had a 1967 Dan Gurney special with all the heavy duty suspension heavy-duty brakes C6 taxi cab transmission and a 410 horse 390
Thanks for not muting the prices! would love to see pricing on cars in the condition they're picked up in.
if only he would do that with the vehicles like richard
Yea well Richard likes to have people to call and kick tires..... let's say he paid $7,500 for the truck and everybody knows and now he wants $15,500 each and every person is going to bad mouth him and get into the I know you only paid xxx for it and then it turns into a shit show....... doesn't matter what he paid for it or anything.....you don't realize he has employees, trucks, trailers, fuel, air fair, car rental gets it back they go through it brakes, shocks, tires, exhaust system, fuel tank sending unit and lines, battery time and materials aren't free. He's in business to make money not break even...you can do what he does go out look around look in back yards, barns, farms ect.
Do the research... back in the early 80s I was buying stuff like that truck and cougar out of back yards for anywhere from $200-$500 bucks....but now with the big wallet guys you can't get a father son project for under $15k and that's needing total resto rough but not scrap but really close to beyond repair..... and whoever started the patina thing spraying clear over the Rusty dented panels should be slapped...... you ran out of money or patience or both and got lazy.old cars and trucks are big business now they buy them restore them and put them in a garage where no one can appreciate them......the next time you see it it's on the auction at Barrett Jackson being bid up by someone with more money than brains..... sorry for the rant but I have watched the hobby go down hill for a long time now....see them at local car shows not knowing what end of a screw driver to use owning some beautiful machines....great show as always Dennis keep doing your thing
👍👌✌️🇺🇸🇺🇲
@@ronaldmoparornocar9590 100%% agree with everything you said...that being said, i respect richard that much more because he just doesnt give a fuck. he found the deal and we didnt, he sets his price and im sure he isnt dealing with ANY tire kicking. come buy it or get lost lol he isnt some marketplace ad
@@jdoy70 you are correct Sir.... unfortunately that's what has to be done sometimes..... becoming more frequent with the people who have never done it before but know you are doing it wrong crowd......it can get interesting when they think they know but have not a clue......I am too old a cat to be fucked by kittens....if you know what I mean 😉
Shawn P was in rare form that day lol , it all works out with the best boss in the world. Always loved the Cougar and that's a very rare one , a great find . I sure hope it gets a complete restoration, it truly deserves it with the rarity of it.
Ole Shawn P. Seems lazy today lol. He's been driving for to long.
I had several Mustangs and I enjoyed them all until I bought a 1970 XR7 Cougar with 351 Windsor gold exterior black interior and fell in Love ! It fit me like a glove. She was fast up to around 75, I moved up north and found another 70 gold XR7 in a junkyard when dating my future wife for $150, needed points. Same everything as first but had a cleveland 351. This really hauled the mail. At 61 I can only dream of all the cool cars I had because in '79 the second gas crunch came and cars like them were a dime a dozen...
Reminds me of my brother, in 1979 he bought a 1969 cougar with the same motor, convertible. I always like the 1970 hood change, and then they went to crap from 1971 on.
Love all of your rescue videos
Acting extra obnoxious in this video! The “ Richard Rawlings” act doesn’t fit you!!!
Fun Fact, the Cougar had sequential turn signals waaaayyy before Audi.
Dry ice the Truck chassis?
..so you do realize that cars in the 60’s could be ordered off a menu allowing for millions of “one of a kind” cars…you’re not Indiana jones……..
Think Sean P got out the wrong side of the bed that day .
My favorite the Mercury cougar I had a 67, 68,1969 my favorite year. I hadn’t sold 68 GT 390!4speed cougar. Sold 10 years ago
I've always wanted to build an old mercury cougar****🤟🇺🇸
*Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today.🇺🇲🤑*
Shawn looks absolutely thrilled
Shawn sounded like he was out all night before this. He had no interest in this job, 😄
That truck is freaking awesome! Sounds very healthy and badass 💯👍👍
I’m from Northern Ireland and my wife and I ate at Puckett’s whilst there on holiday. A great spot
“Haven’t done a Cougar in a while”🤣🤘🏼☀️☀️
I had two 1968 Cougar XR7 GTs both 4sps one had head rests both 100% original right down to the shift knobs and both 3:25 rears, if I had only known the way things were going to go AND just a few miles away a 68 XR7 GTE (427) was pulled out of a guys garage after many years of sitting.
It's good that the older gentleman, opened the hood for you Shawn!😂😂😂
IDK, I go to the Redhead Piano Bar in Chicago on Friday nights and I see plenty of cougars, Dennis lol
UA-cam is slacking cus I don’t get the notifications and the videos don’t pop up on my feed either 🤷🏼♂️ as a youtuber myself one wonders how is one suppose to grow with the algorithm working 💩 💩
Cool video. Food Looked Amazing. Meatloaf Looks Amazing!! G
I look forward to every Friday at noon for your new videos. Love the truck, i had a 79 Chevy Bonanza Big 10 in high school.
I haven't done a couger in a while either:) !!!!
AND YET ANOTHER EPISODE WHERE DENNIS HAS MORE MONEY TO BLOW ON TOYS AND FOOD AND BRAGS GET YOU SOME OF THAT.....YA YA YA....SPREAD THE WEALTH DUDE ! AND YES I WORK AT A STABLE JOB !
Sean wasn't firing on all cylinders then along came Pucketts.
Nice Cougar and great Honda, life is now complete!
Want that truck, just have to work harder for one like that.
Keep it up Dennis, Zach, and Crew
Shawn was in a crappy mood in this one. I’m guessing tired from being on the road.
The 390 cougar is nice but I like the 427 eliminator version even better!
Eliminator wasn’t in 68 the rare GT-E came with the 427 they are extremely rare 69 was the first eliminators
That was a 1 year only in 67 on the GTE. And unfortunately it was more or less just a 390pi with .160 over bore. Meaning it used the cast iron intake the same cam cast crank, and the 390 4 bbl rods. The heads were the late model truck heads as well
But a set of early C3's off a low riser a 428 pi intake and a good cam and a set of heads and 500hp is very easy. That is one of my personal favorites FE set ups. That combo with spin to 6800 and if you get some Scatt H beam rods and bump the duration on the cam a bit more it will spin 7800 and make 580hp+. And it will live. The FE is such a bad ass under rated piece it's a shame. I'll take a 427 Ford and eat every 454 bbc that is dumb enough to be embarrassed by less cubes. Go to utube and type in Holman Moody 427 mustang. 1 Ford go to the Corvette anniversary vintage race. And put it on the poll and never looked back. And every 427 vett just ran for first loser!! Take that bow tie boys!
My uncle has a cougar that he might sell. His owned it for 30 some years ,it’s in California .
what an awesome chevy truck, i was born in 1979, and to see a truck from that time still looking as good as ever is just brilliant
Honestly, if there were restaurants like Puckets in my neck of woods, it would take years off my life.....wow.....note to self, visit Puckets when able...
Great video . Car and truck are great . Truck is a lot nicer than an old beat up but dependable truck my dad had . He always said every man needs a nice truck and a dependable " go to hell truck " . That is defined as dependable but beat so you could take trash or any other of a thousand possibilities and not worry about denting , scratching , or getting dirty your good old go to hell truck . I miss my dad .
The smiles on both your faces after you ate said it all Great Stuff you guys
Without even watching it I'll bet the Marti report says it's one of one
Thought demnis was married didn't know he was into cougars
Sean acts like it was going to kill him to do something. Very rude to the old guy.
'' Haven't done a cougar in a while ''....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why wouldn’t Shawn have a jump box?
$80 on Amazon
He had a handover. spent to long in the lounge.
Why didn't you hold the clutch in when trying to start? I think they had a clutch safety switch in 68.
Shawn needs to stop being so lame. Literally thousands of guys across the country would love to have his job.
Show a little enthusiasm and appreciation for one of the best jobs a young guy could have. I've worked for guys like Dennis and they are awesome people.
Getting paid and fed like a king, he can't be arsed. I would fire him.
I love this body style cougar I would love to have that car Dennis.
If you get a flat you can look for a guy in a wheelchair 😂😂😂
WOW that cougar is a bucket list car! Absolutely beautiful rig! And a GT to boot! I like the cougars better than the mustang!
Another awesome Coffee Walk! Thanks Dennis and team! You can't go wrong with Puckett's. 🇺🇲🚜👍
GT-E's are even more rare. Hope you find one of those.
A kid down the alley from me destroyed a 428 cougar and replaced it with a gte cougar. Destroyed that one too- around 1980.
Destroyed a GTE good lord what a clown … un restored with rust they are worth around 50k
Dennis, next time ENGAGE THE CLUTCH when trying to start a manual Cougar. Do that, it starts.
Sorry to shout at you Dennis. I came back to apologize, you're really a nice guy, didn't mean to be rude. I just wanted to hear the Cougar's purr.
Now THIS is what I'd LOVE to have! I'd take a 390 4 speed cougar over the Mustang same spec Any day! Unless the stang was rare and worth a huge amount. Then I could just sell it and buy the Cougar I want and keep some cash. LOL!
Call me old-fashioned I'm like the old man best place to eat is at the 🏡
Gotta check out Pucketts on my next trip through Nashville. Sean is funny....listen to the guy doing all the loading/driving Dennis. LOL Wicked cool Cougar!!
Ok, that meatloaf looked incredible : )
Loved the show !
all the kids are saying " the gear shift is on the column!!"
Or, at this point, all the kids may be saying, "You have to KEEP MOVING the gear shift?"😉
Grew up with a friend of the family that had a cougar. Lived in San Diego. Convertible 67 or 68. Loved that car. Won't start? Lol. But that's OK. 4 speed. Yes. Mr. Collins will get her goin. And other brand new stuff. Cool.😇😇♥♥🔥🔥😎😎 I knew Mr.Collins would find a spot.😂
Old man was like yeah keep talking it up..youll pay in the end
Nice, I had a 69 XR7 390 black leather high back buckets with headrest. Black vinyl roof Silver with eliminator decals and hood scoop. Craigars,,air shocks, TA 50's and the ol traction bars. 'The 390 was factory replacement when engine caught fire. My parents car 1980 in High School. We had the cars back then. The average bad ass car was around 2 grand Max. Now they are worth 20-50 grand. I'm glad my buddies were into cars. Those were the days.
Another good find and buy. I think mr. Dennis should help all his crew( at least the ones that go anywhere at the drop of a dime) with getting their favorite classic car. Not totally free but at least make it so they can afford it. Especially Shawn he's there anytime anywhere. Beating a damn airplane sometimes. Now where you gonna find another Shawn. Pay and treat the good ones and they will stay. I'm sure Dennis already takes good care of his ctew.I would just like to see Shawna face if he got recognized for his effort and hard work. Love your channel though. I've watched more coffee walks than I've missed. Oh by the way I loved it when you bought that Shelby from ole monkey man and then it was rare as heck.
I'll be another Shawn. Johnny on the spot.
Always want to load UPHILL if you DONT have brakes vs downhill.
Press here -->10:57
and Pettifords most annoying moment at 12:55 lol
I bought a 68 Cougar in 71. 302 automatic. When I bought it, top speed was 50 mph. The throttle linkage was adjusted to only give part throttle.
