Stockholm-Åre's bid was never going to work anyway, because it's hard to get from Sweden to Latvia for one event and from Latvia back to Sweden. That was the problem I had with it from day one.
For what I've seen Stockholm deserved more than ever the Olympic Games. That's what the olympic movement need.. They live in a winter wonderland country, they have support from everyone (even the princess!!!!), and who's more economic stable like them? It's weird they have never had the trust of hosting olympic winter games. They even organize world cup events already!!! I'm sure they feel like us in spain with the Eurosivion.. it's never good enough!!!! Congratulations to my friends in Milano, really nice people :)
@Miqueas Valentin Hernandez Exactly. Because in the history of Olympic host cities, there has always been a pattern of no more than one or two consecutive host cities outside of Europe. The 2014 Winter Olympics were held in Russia in Europe and the 2018 Winter Olympics were held in South Korea in Asia and the 2022 Winter Olympics will be held in China also in Asia, so 2026 marks Europe's turn.
But I wanted the Philippines to host the next winter olympics, the philippines would be the first tropical country to host the winter olympics if that happens
