No need really for any comment it’s clear that YOU ARE A GREAT INSTRUCTOR with CLEAR STEPS !! Thanks so much !! Please don’t stop sharing your knowledge !!
Hi Leah, I just wanted to thank you, you are one of the best instructors on UA-cam! I’ve been a “simple” beaded for years, and I just recently started doing beadweaving, something I never thought I’d do! I have a really hard time following written patterns and rely on watching videos to learn. I’ve always loved the spiral beading, and now I’m ready to try it for the first time! Please keep the video tutorials coming! 🤗 Danielle from CA
Wow - Thank you Danielle!! You have no idea how wonderful it is to hear (read, hehe) such kind words!! Thank you so much. I'm a beginner bead weaver and I've watched several UA-cam videos on how to create the spiral but I could never follow their directions. The problem was that either a certain level of beading expertise was assumed or they held their work too far away from their camera and I simply couldn't see what they were doing. I thought, oh well, learning how to create the spiral is something I'll have to forget about. But thanks to your fabulous tutorial I now understand perfectly how to make the spiral! Thank you SO MUCH! I'm sure I'm not the only beginner whose been frustrated trying to find a clear and thoroughly explained tutorial on the spiral and I hope they find THIS, yours! You rock!!!
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words, Rosie!! I'm SO glad you were able to learn from my video and teaching style!! Let me know how you make out with your first spiral!! -Leah

Another fun and informative video-thanks for getting us up close and personal with this stitch-through this video, I finally was able to see how to push the loop off to the side and hold it there so my spiral will spiral!! Thanks for all your help and encouragement through the year. I hope your holiday season will be merry and bright!
Hi again. Do you have instruction for making spiral rope earings about how to finish the end for the ear wire part and the bottom? Thanking you Patricia
Leah, Thank you so much for doing this video. I am new to stitching and I'm so glad you showed the spiral stitch. Your explanation was the best I've watched. I loved the one with the 15/0's. So, I plan to give that one a try soon. I Love your website....have order a couple of times since finding it!! Thanks again!!
Thanks for this Leah. I just started (yes, three days before Christmas!!!) icicle ornaments using the spiral technique and the way you’re doing it is slightly different as far as going through the core beads...but I am going to use your technique as it seems easier. Awesome! I love learning different ways to get to the same end result. And yes, I’d love to see a version with embellishments!
Ooooh your icicle ornaments sound like they will be lovely!! I'm picturing what they might look like in my head! feel free to send over a pic of a finished one - would love to see!! :-) -Leah
EurekaCrystalBeads I will try to send a couple of pics via messenger or email. The pattern is not mine. I watched a video by Lady Jane, Christmas Icicle Decoration...and I made a few variations.
Hi Raymond! You certainly can. Once your rope is at the right length, simply put the beginning and end together and you'll see how they fit together pretty seemlessly! Then you just have to sew them together by looping into the last 4 core beads on the first side. Make sure to loop back around several times to make it strong!
Thank you for a wonderfully detailed video. As a beginner beaded, the super clear instructions are appreciated. Would love to see the embellished version and perhaps a suggestion on how to adapt this for a male’s keychain. Cheers!
What am I missing 😬 I start 4 core beads 3 on the other. (Repeat) But after you say to go through the core to line them up . I see your going through underneath the core? Mine... has the thread going over the bead . Sorry hope that makes sense
So glad you think so, Annette! :-) Thank you for the kind words. -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Hi again Leah I have tried again to do the endings of a spiral rope without using a clasp and followed your instructions and going through the last four core beads BUT even putting the two ends together I just can't seem to get the outside spiral to look like the rest of the rope there always seems to be a bigger space in the core section making it look off like a broken spiral if you know what I mean. When going through the last four core beads at the other end the beginning of the rope should I have been adding a core bead and a set of four beads again on my thread before going through the four core beads..Please help me with this. Would it be possible to do a small video really close up to finish a spiral rope with this closure. ? Thanking you Patricia
Hi Patricia, I'll have to see about doing a video on this perhaps - I'm not sure that i'm going to be able to clearly explain to in a comment. :-) *Stay Tuned*
It's been filmed.... :-) Now the video just needs to be edited and it will go up possibly by end of week, Geri!! -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Hi Joselyn, yes - you can absolutely use a magnetic clasp! Tha magnetic clasp should have a loop, similar to the toggle clasp I used, and you would simply attach the same way - with a small beaded loop. :-) -Leah
I love your teaching technique. You seem to know when I'm about to ask, 'Wait, what did you just do there?'. I can't wait to see embellishments on a spiral rope!
Great video.Instructions where very clear. Maybe it's just me, but if you could zoom in more on your work/hands instead of putting your hands up to the camera and then down. I think that would make it even easier to understand. I get a little seasick..:-) Hope it makes sense...Merry Christmas

Hi do you always use Fireline for spiral rope beading? Thanking you Patricia
There are various beading threads out there that one can use...My personal favorite happens to be Fireline because if it's strength and durability :-)
@@leahwyckoff4791 Thanking you so very much for answering and explaining.
I would like to make a thicker version. Larger around
