Had dyslexia test yesterday I was so anxious but it wasnt that bad - reading out paragraph and having insert word into the gap - reading spelling in 40 seconds I also have do spelling test Mine went highly downhill - when he gave me blocks and had to put then into sequence on book I was so lost 😂then he read numbers out to me I had recite then back in order or backwards I had no hope Shapes we did same my brain was like no 🤦♀️ Also given 2 words and had to say word means sane such as cold or hot temperatures I was lost after 2nd 😂😂 My examiner was really sweet he could see I was struggling or explain parts trying to prompt me showing me twice make jokes just tried to make me less anxious🤣 Poor guy could not read my writing ☠ But I ended up being confirmed with 4 diffrent diagnoses ☠ I went in at 1:30 I was done by 2:30
I slightly remember doing my dyslexia and dyspraxia test when I was really young and I remember having to do a few hours of some puzzle book it was so bad
Dont worry you'll be fine! And no matter the outcome at least you know, actually being told I had a specific learning disability was like a weight being lifted. Because even though I knew I wasn't stupid other people didn't understand. I hope this video helped you at least know what to expect. I'd love to hear how you found the test.
I wonder if there is a way to genetically edit it out of someone's reproductive cells prior to having children. It would probably save more money if people that suffer with conditions felt comfortable to come forward so that prior to having children they could have the opportunity for the state to fund for the gene editing required for them, as it would be more costly for them as parents raising a child with a condition like this and for society than the treatment itself in the long term. I know people that have suffered from this that like this idea and would be willing to come forward but are afraid some will use the condition and people as human shields to justify attacking anyone who would suggest the idea of gene removal.
Visual stress meres irlens type of dyslexia I don't have official diagnosis but letters have halos for me, edges are yellow blue and green. letters animate and also flip from right way round to mirror. I fall down the space between words and struggle to find the line Im reading. easy way to describe it is like the page is way to bright. imagine the words are written on a light bulb and the light bulb is on. hurts my eyes and gives me headaches. exhausting
Wow that does sound exhausting! I am sensitive to page colour, and read the same line 5 times! I haven't ever felt like the word were mirrored, but my opticians told my mam I memorised the test because I answered backwards. (I did not memorised the andwers) I think you can buy the yellow tints to put over pages to make them less painful online.

Oh really? I had to do a couple of puzzles, but only like 5.
Maybe its like how a eye test differs for young children because they can’t read.
