It really frustrates me that I wasn’t screened for this, dyslexia and dyscalculia when I was a child. I honestly feel like I’ve been failed by the system and I doubt my self esteem would be so low if I was. Im going to talk to my gp as soon as possible.
I'm an adult with undiagnosed Dyspraxia. I hate the fact I feel the doctors or whomever diagnosed me in the past weren't medically accurate. I've read more in nonfiction about this disorder that plays a role daily in my life. I have seen therapists but I can hardly bring myself to a comfortable level of communication without therapists or doctors calling me a liar when in fact I wasn't.
I haven't had a test with the NHS, I had a dyslexia test (that my work paid for) and the person said I fit dyspraxia, I can imaging that has a long wait time. Best of luck.
I have diagnoses of dyspraxia, ADHD and Aspergers traits as an adult . It is almost impossible to get diagnosed with dyspraxia if you are not in education as an adult, if not in education. Try genuins within .
Quick update. I was diagnosed with Adult ADHD Combined last year. I still need an assessment for Dyspraxia. But I've been told by a friend I may have NVLD.
I done a test and got almost 100% and it said above average. My schooling was ruined and a diagnosis would answer so many questions. Is it worth getting a test when you're old (50) cause the damage has been done now regards education and society.
I know it’s hard to self diagnose for anything but I’m like 100% sure I have this and it’s frustrating me
Not difficult at all. Who knows you better than you do?
