@@danielgrimes8312 TRUE. This track creates such a thick atmosphere like you're in an empty parking lot or airstrip, knowing one of them is going to appear on the horizon eventually.
Also because this was stock music, rather than released commercially, which allowed it to be used in Dawn of the Dead so cheaply. That doesn't mean that it's not copyrighted, but it's much harder to find on streaming sites as a result.
I don't know if anyone here lives near a NCG Theater, but there is an ad for NCG itself that plays before the films, and I swear this music is used in it.
For some reason, this song makes me want to get a flat-top haircut, stand up on a pile of boxes and get the top of my skull sliced off by helicopter blades. Oh, and also Romero was a genius whose movie has more than stood the test of time.
@@simonpark7026 I don’t hate it because it sounds bad, I hate it because of how creepy and ominous it sounds. Dawn of the Dead was probably the first movie that legitimately scared and traumatized me as a kid (and ironically became my favorite movie of all time because of that). So when I hear this theme, which is so recognizable, I get those chills all over again.
Yeah I Recognised this on Shaun of the Dead too! :D
Both eerie and brilliant - this music was also used before the start of the film Shaun Of The Dead on the Universal logo start up screen
Funny thing- I thought the thump starting at 1:06 was part of the sound effects for the film. Never knew until now that it was part of the score.
this is so full of mystery and hopelisness, it really gives the feel in being in a abandoned airstrip
this ost make you feel like is just matter of time before see One those things!
Makes you realize hopelessness after seeing

"Scary, isn't it?"
iger dick he was quoting peter when he aimed his gun at flyboy
Isn't it?
hell yeah lil man!
This music is so scary it has such an errie sound thats what i love of the seventies music soundtracks very experimental
As with John Carpenter, the synth ruled in this movie and Creepshow.
This always reminds me of both the zombie getting his head cut off by the helicopter blade and the hilariously weak tackle flyboy gave that one zombie
Yep lol. That weird tackle has bugged me since I first saw it as a kid.
That was a tackle? He looked like Daffy Duck slipping on a banana peel.
Shaun of the dead Intro too.. Thanks for the DVD commentary!
I absolutely LOVE this! Bring back prog synthesisers in horror!!!
Technically this track is called "Figment" by Simon Park. A typo on the CD packaging credited it as "Figment's Park" though.
Actually, it's 'Figment' by Simon Park.
the music was definetly a big part of the movie
"Run!"
"Peter!"
"You never aim a gun at anyone, mister!"
Yeah flyboy even later checks to see if the revolver in the power room is loaded by readying the hammer and firing.
(aims gun) "scary, isn't it?" (lowers gun) "isn't it?"
@@marakarthegreat We're thieves and we're bad guys thats exactly what we are. We gotta find our own way.
PETER!!!

I can see where Resident Evil 1 in 1996 got it's soundtrack inspiration from
This was used for the Gorillaz Humanz Tour '2D' BB.
SpongeFreak 97 I remember when I watched Dawn Of The Dead I heard this and went “holy shit Gorillaz sampled this in the 2D BB
Listen to this while stoned sitting on the front steps on a quiet night. Then things get so scary...I'm petrified.
Sounds a lot like The Warriors
Thinking the same thing!
Once again, why isn't this on iTunes?!?
Because iTunes is not where you go for music
Also because this was stock music, rather than released commercially, which allowed it to be used in Dawn of the Dead so cheaply. That doesn't mean that it's not copyrighted, but it's much harder to find on streaming sites as a result.
Warriors, come out to play!

“You’ve got red on you.”
I can't go into a f×@king mall without this in my head!
this sounds like it could have been on "The Warriors" soundtrack as well. CAN YOU DIG IT?
I love this movies soundtrack 👍👍 creepy and good !!
Love this soundtrack!!! Arp 2600 maybe??
The kind of music your brain hears as your eyes shift around for threats
I made my electric guitar sound just like the beginning of this song it brought back childhood memories of when I first saw this movie 10 years ago =)
EXACTLY! I finally found it!
"Damn, they're empty! Can you handle that? I'm going to go see what's left in the hangers."
Turns out to be a bunch of junk...
I think he says "Damn near empty".........as they do manage to get some fuel from the pumps.

Sounds like this would fit great in the game manhunt
Or the Warriors!
Mysterious Masterpiece 🎵
Playing dying light while listening to this.
Perfect baby, perfect
This is also in the Kung Fu film Wolf Devil Woman!
This music sounds exactly like the train level from Rockstar Games Manhunt 1
Interesting. Rockstar did the Warriors game for the PS2 and this sounds like the music from the Warriors movie.
@@alternity28 I guess Rockstar really like this sound
This was also used in the opening for Shaun of the dead
i like this theme :)
@Cardiff67235
after watching shaun of the dead, the way i looked at zombies have never been the same.
Shaun of the dead
Love all the nods Shaun did.
The opening theme to shaun of the dead.
"RUN" lol
Makes me think of Manhunt on PS2
I thought part of this song was also used in the night of the living dead 1990 remake.
Its from The Warriors!
Dawn of the Dead came out first, shithead.
this song kinda reminds me of Doom, it's a bit creepy but that's just the music ye want in a horror :D
Reminds me of Manhunt
Original!
1:26
hehe shaun of the dead
HELICOPTER UNDEAD!
Shit, damn near empty!
I hate this theme......
Im not crazy about it either. Can't imagine what I was thinking of when I wrote it!

@@FerrariCarr Well then I guess I got it about right! Scary movie, scary music - the two go together, as was intended.
