Yes, I find myself going to what is more familiar and tend to stay away from those as well. But, there are a lot of great licks that can be found with this knee lever! Thanks as always for the kind words and keep picking!
Thanks for letting me know that. I'm trying my best to use all the levers and pedals. It gets easier once I find a real use then get it down as a routine move.
...and SO easy to follow. I just watched your video for a basic intro in G, and I really appreciate your "Ok, you got that? Ready to try the next bit?" teaching style. Makes me think yes, I CAN do this! Like the man said, thanks!
I hadn't really noticed that the unison bends that are so common in rock and blues music are often found in pedal steel music. Thank you, Aaron!
Yes, that is a great technique that steel players can use as well!
Thank you and keep picking!
Thanks Aaron. I rarely used the 2nd string lowered or the 9th. I've only recently incorporated the 9th more in my playing. Thanks again for your help.

Yeah, that 9string for making a 7th chord is new to me.
Thanks for this🙏. Informative, insightful and entertaining 👏 👏👏❕️
Thank you! Glad that you enjoyed it!

Had no idea the 5 chord is on 1,2&5 of the 1 chord fret.
Thx
Hope this helps. Keep picking!
I believe that’s called a “Counterpoint”.
It’s used in Price’s “Touch My Heart”
Yes sir. A great device and sound on our steel guitars.
So already have the 2 completely engaged before mashing the A pedal. Can you do something similar with the 1 & 6 string ?
Good thought. Yes just think unison . Also think of a 12 string guitar you get the octave sound and it makes the note ie G# open sound fuller.
my two pedal steels always lowered the 2nd and 9th string by just half a tone, I can't find any application for this
