I make ham and green beans with potatoes. Great meal. Cut a hunk of ham and an onion sliced in a large kettle . Boil for about an hour. Add potatoes and beans. Cook till soft. Serve with crusty bread. Easy meal. You want a fair amount of juice so you can sop up the broth.

I got a clearance 8lb spiral sliced ham at Walmart for $8 this week. It's in my freezer for Easter.
Those greens raw would be horribly bitter. You can add them to soup for sure. Use them for a side like spinach, Google the best way to cook them.
That bread isn't stale. Those small pieces of hard bread are for hors douvres. Put on cheese and tomatoes or use your ham with a fruit jam.

Those little pieces of sliced bread are for bruschetta. If you don't have fresh tomatoes; you can use diced canned tomatoes with chopped garlic, olive oil and Italian seasoning. Or you can use it for dips, hot or cold dips. Those are called nutty buddies 😊

So if you practice with them in the kitchen make sure they know how to use it safely they'll be better for it

Are you low income? I am but i don't use a food bank because there are people way worse off than me. I have noticed a lot of channels encouraging people to use the food banks. That is not what they are to help people save money to pay off debt. Sad.

@@EllenGill-z6t Go to the Food Bank. It’s for everyone. Yes it is to help people pay off debt, we can keep a roof over our heads, gas in the car the lights on the car insurance paid, and food on the table. If you don’t pay your taxes, you go to jail. Lots and lots of debt. Go to the food bank. It’s ok. ~Money Saving Mama
