I make ham and green beans with potatoes. Great meal. Cut a hunk of ham and an onion sliced in a large kettle . Boil for about an hour. Add potatoes and beans. Cook till soft. Serve with crusty bread. Easy meal. You want a fair amount of juice so you can sop up the broth.
@@melindamohoski3083 Sounds Wonderful. Thank you for sharing. ~Money Saving Mama

Awesome stuff and great chocolate stuff my friend
@@rebeccabaker572 Thank you. Yes, coffee and chocolate are my two favorite things. Now we are set for the year. Thank you so much for watching ~ Money Saving Mama
EXTREMELY AWESOME HAUL!!
@@brendavanfossen2167 Thank you so much for watching. ~ Money Saving Mama
All of my granddaughters cook.
The youngest is 10 years old.
My daughter supervises her as she uses the cooktop and the oven.
She is making full meals for the family.
@@BeckyCreger-vs5ce Wow that’s so wonderful. My daughter will cook some thing, both my kids love to bake. They have baked cookies together and cakes.
I should have them cooked more, but they really haven’t seemed too interested.
Thank you so much for watching. ~Money Saving Mama
I got a clearance 8lb spiral sliced ham at Walmart for $8 this week. It's in my freezer for Easter.
Those greens raw would be horribly bitter. You can add them to soup for sure. Use them for a side like spinach, Google the best way to cook them.
That bread isn't stale. Those small pieces of hard bread are for hors douvres. Put on cheese and tomatoes or use your ham with a fruit jam.
@@MsRene98 So happy for you that Ham was such a great deal. Now you’re all set for Easter. Thank you for watching. ~Money Saving Mama
Those little pieces of sliced bread are for bruschetta. If you don't have fresh tomatoes; you can use diced canned tomatoes with chopped garlic, olive oil and Italian seasoning. Or you can use it for dips, hot or cold dips. Those are called nutty buddies 😊
@@chriskryzak604 Nutty Buddies that’s it. By the it was really good. I haven’t had one of them since elementary school. Not that my mom bought them I would eat my friends.
Thank you so much for watching

I make many things with pumpkin all year.
Pumpkin is not just for the holidays.
@@BeckyCreger-vs5ce My son will eat pumpkin pie all year round. So if we find one cheap after Thanksgiving I put it in freezer for him. Thank you for watching. ~Money Saving Mama
Shred the Turkey and add BBQ sauce simmer and put it in a bun...it is really goog Mt mom use Tomales it with leftover turkey
@@KimParker-w7o Exactly what I did. Thank you so much for the suggestion. ❤️
If the potatoes are sprouting, cut them up for french fries and dice some, and slice some.
Then freeze them.
They won't go to waste that way
@@BeckyCreger-vs5ce What a great idea. We have so many potato’s right now, can’t possibly eat them. Thank you my friend.
You can always make the chicken skewers in the broiler in your stove
@@BeckyCreger-vs5ce great idea. Bet
they’ll be really moist that way.
Make ham and beans out of part of the ham.
That meal would stretch a ways.
@@BeckyCreger-vs5ce
Yes my parents love it that way and my kids hate it that way. 🤷🏻♀️
I went yesterday.
Little Debbie's my favorite
@@FamilyBusse my daughter’s too
Nutty Bars
@@kencurtis2403 That’s it. Thanks
The peanut butter wafer is called a nutty buddy
@@BeckyCreger-vs5ce Thank you. Brain fog for a minute there.
Yummy chocolate,awesome!
@@nancycostello5416 Yes my comfort food. 😊
You put some of the ham with the greens and boil them down like you would collard greens
I would boil the turkey legs to make broth and after they are ready, shred them and add to different meals.
One meal could be BBQ sandwiches, another turkey and noodles
boil the bones, not the legs with the smoked meat. you will lose all the flavor into the stock and be left with bland boiled turkey.
With turkey legs, I boil them, make broth from the bones, and make a turkey stew with potatoes, carrots peas and onions. Or leave out potatoes and serve over rice or noodles
The candy cane kisses are my favorite kisses
@@keepitsimple2593 There white chocolate right ?
Add a peppermint kiss to hot chocolate. If you want more minty flavor, add more to your taste. Enjoy!!
@@GuardLife96 What a great idea. Peppermint hot chocolate sounds perfect after shelving snow. ❤️
I love fried bologna with fried egg sandwich
@@BeckyCreger-vs5ce So do I with some cheddar cheese on a Kaiser bun.
If your daughter is 14 she should be getting around the kitchen fairly well. She certainly can read and follow directions off a box to make easy stuff for herself and her brother.
Those White Reese’s ghosts are my VERY favorite! Just the right proportion of peanut butter to white chocolate.
@@kencurtis2403 I shared them with my dad. He loves chocolate and peanut butter is good for extra protein. He still has gained any weight. Thank you for watching. ~Money Saving Mama
Nutty bar
@@keepitsimple2593 your correct 👍
Good,NY mom make it lol
Love to put mine in the freezer, to get really cold.
I’d love the glaze recipe
Sugardale ham is really good ham.I glaze my ham in homemade ginger ale.
You seriously need to wash the greens many times to get all of the dirt off of them
I just bought cherry candy canes at Dollar General for 10 cents a box
Put the greens in ice water an the bell pepper an squash they will look new
Kids aren't going to learn how to use the stove if someone doesn't show them or they'll attempt to cook something thinking they saw mom do it it's easy abd then possibly get burnt or burn the house down
So if you practice with them in the kitchen make sure they know how to use it safely they'll be better for it
Turkey drumsticks in hatch chili sauce
Only LORD JESUS is Holy!
That meat is such a blessing!! With most things being so high it's great you all got some meat to help stretch the budget! I hope you are doing well friend!
LORD JESUS is KING of kings and LORD of lords!
Why would they not want brown eggs
@@joannewall5499 My mom fed them different eggs before from a farm and now they only want white eggs from the store.
@ I’m I’m uk and I buy organic eggs called burford browns, very delicious
Are you low income? I am but i don't use a food bank because there are people way worse off than me. I have noticed a lot of channels encouraging people to use the food banks. That is not what they are to help people save money to pay off debt. Sad.
@@EllenGill-z6t Go to the Food Bank. It’s for everyone. Yes it is to help people pay off debt, we can keep a roof over our heads, gas in the car the lights on the car insurance paid, and food on the table. If you don’t pay your taxes, you go to jail. Lots and lots of debt. Go to the food bank. It’s ok. ~Money Saving Mama
