I love that you are doing these videos. I think there is way to much stigma attached to going to food banks. I volunteer at one and it breaks my heart when i see people come through with their heads held low acting embarrassed. These are good programs and are needed especially now days. The bulk of people we see come through are the elderly who dont have enough money after bills to afford much food or families where a death has occurred to one of the providers or people who have been injured and are out of work or have been laid off . Keep this up!

Thank you so so much for all your kind words. You are so right so many people don’t go to Food banks that really really need to go. They think it’s beneath them and they’re scared to go. If there’s anything I hope people learn from my videos. If you are in need, please please go seek the help. It’s out there. There’s so many great resources to help people in need with children with elderly or just families that are struggling to get by.
There are many elderly people that go to my weekly food bank. Some of them are so poor, and they rely solely on all of the food that they get at the food bank. It breaks my heart.
Thank you so much for watching and I will see you in the next Money Saving Mama video . ~Money Saving Mama

That's for treating people humanely I went to a food bank and I had never been there a worker snapped at me for opening the door assuming I knew the procedure then when another worker told me to follow her the same worker snapped at me again then I snapped back I did not come there to have doors slammed in my face and if she couldn't find anything better to do than I doubt she is needed ! I would never ever snapped at a volunteer but this lady had me near tears .

When the delivery trucks have to spend twice as much for gas...the store has to pay that..hence we have to pay that, when the electric bill at the store goes up, we have to help cover that, when employees have to make $15 and hour, the store has to cover that cost... SAme with home rentals...I would love to charge what we did 10 years ago...but property taxes have tripled...We make enough to cover property taxes and a small amount set aside should a house need a new roof, new appliances etc. We have had people refuse to pay rent, takes 6 months to get them out, while we cover costs, and leave well over 40K in damages.....

@@wellarmedwife166 yes I will agree being a landlord sucks. My father did it for many years. People would trash his place or he had to take them to court just to get them out. I can't imagine going to the store and buying these exact same groceries it would come to well over three hundred dollars the bad thing is you can't eat it all before it gets too old . Im a no shame dumpster diver usually aldi mostly cause one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch and rather than pull the rotten one they'd rather pitch the entire bag or eggs if one's busted they throw the whole carton and I know if its still cold it hasn't been out very long . Prices aren't appear8ng t9 come vack down anytime soon so we just have to adjust are way of eating and be greatful we don't have special dietary restrictions cause those are the scenarios that get really expensive .

Keep searching for other food, banks or food pantries in your area. I once went to a food bank, and they only gave out a box of canned goods. I’m not saying cans are bad, but keep searching. Check my description box for website where you can find local food banks in your area. Check Facebook and Google Food banks in your area. Hope this helps. Thank you so much for watching.~Money Saving Mama

Wow... I'm so jealous and kinda sad 😢.... Our food bank gives nothing like this, and it seems they don't really care about anyone.. Every time we go, we get just a small bag(for 3 people). And we need this food 😓
It usually contains 1 "fresh" bag of vegetables and fruit. (More times than not they have to be thrown out.. due to mold or just pure squishiness)
1 half gallon of milk (if we get lucky it's not already spoiled...since they are all past date anyway...)
    Roughly 4-6 cans of veggies.
    1-2 cans of fruit.
1-3 pounds of Venison and if we are lucky beef..
A couple cans of tuna and a horrible chili sauce.. literally every single time.. and it makes me so depressed, because i know there is nothing i can do to make it better for me or anyone receiving this help in my area...it truly is a shame
