I'm a white South Africa who grew up during apartheid and for sure, we know what it was and that Israel isn't committing it at all. But I want to plead for us - people forget that we had a referendum in 1992 when only whites could vote: close to 70% of us voted against apartheid, not because we could benefit from getting rid of apartheid, but because we knew it was morally wrong. People tend to demonise us, but we were the ones who were fighting against apartheid and got rid of it.
Omg! How would you know the evils of apartheid if you benefitted from it? If Mandela the one instrumental in overcoming apartheid supported Palestine, that's says it all.
We, as South Africans, agree.

We who grew up in the 70s and 80s voted against Apartheid and we won!! Now we voted again for equal opportunity for all South Africans!!

Olga, I respect you as a person and love this interview. I think I met you 25 years ago when I joined the ACDP in 2000. I love the Bible....to think the whole Isreals history in there..I love it. I am a white person, living in SA also grew up in the Apartheid era. They did not exclude only blacks, but Coloureds and Indians. I only learnt during Covid that Apartheid for SA was desined by people in the League of Nations, now the WEF. My mother became a Christian in 1947. She brought us up that there are no US and THEM. We are all ONE before God. We did not have an apartheid mentality, though we could nothing against the chosen Government, then. She taught us to love Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, since I was 5 years old. I only became a follower of Messiah in 1970 when I was 16 yrs old. God chose Israel as his people. So we are eternally grateful to Israel that we can also be children God. Like Ruth and Rahab.❤❤❤God will bring the Jews back to their land, even in unbelief, but let us pray for just that. God will protect Israel. Olga we need you back in SA to become a leader.

Another black South African here. Apartheid was not only about race, it was about separation of black people from each other. We were also separated according to tribes. One can argue that we remain separated as the current dispensation has not reversed the economic impact of 400 years of oppression. I do see similarities between SA and Gaza in so far as the indoctrination on children from a young age to hate Israel for no other reason other than their ethnicity.
Black South Africans had to be separated according to tribes as each culture had different costumes, like not being allowed to marry into another different tribe. As we can see they also had their own apartheid rules.
