This is a condensed playthrough (it normally takes around 45-60mins to reach the final boss. It's a very cool game. Looking forward to seeing more of it. It's a game of Champignons! :)
What a run! Thank you so much for always picking up on our stuff! Watching your playthroughs of our game are always a highlight of putting them out there!
@@AlphaBetaGamer So good to hear that! Noticed you had checked out all the tunnels on the map! We're planning some really fun stuff for updates over the next while, so more on the way!
I normally hate "card-based" games because of leaving your fate to RNG instead of skills is no way to play. But this game here could be the very first one to change my mind and steer me into giving it a try. Mostly because of the art direction. The gruesome yet cartoonish style is VERY WELL executed, and that aspect of SaG has caught my attention. Thanks for posting this video.
I really like how well the 2D surfaces are used to create depth with this fixed perspective. The on-rails movement could be swapped out for a cell based movement system like that seen in retro dungeon crawlers from the Amiga days.
amazing game. I remember the initial version of the game itself, a few years ago. still had a great art-style and feel to it, but they've upgraded it so nicely. well done to the developers and artists behind it.
when you beat that one boss and it just left the single sleeping shroom, couldnt you just infinitely scale your max health to 999 by never doing damage and just using the "increase max hp by 3" card? or i guess not 999 since it has "limited uses" but you could entirely use it up
looks very awesome, gameplay is very refined and seems quite fun, i think this might sell really well because how unique it is. But looks that it might get boring in the long run, as you are always doing the same: going forward and fighting. if there was more liberty in the level design, akin to, being able to go left, right and not always forwards and fight, but interact with the environment, that would be a massive boost. but yes, its a prototype so i don't expect everything. having a hub or a store where you could buy stuff or just rest from combat would be cool!
I like the style, I like the idea, but I feel like it's just an average deck-builder/dungeon crawler game, and the most unique part is the art style. But I'll wait for this game
I'd recommend playing it, it's really addictive (there's a free prototype). It's a lot of fun figuring out good synergies for the cards, and because you can upgrade them without any limits you can create some seriously powerful combos.
For deep. powerful existential questions like these, I always fall back on "I think, therefore I am". Popeye has his own variation that went "I yam what I yam, and that's all that I yam". Fascinating!
Fungi, of course. The largest, heaviest, and likely oldest lifeform (that we know of) on Earth is a fungus of the Armarillia family. Viruses, they don't fulfill the criteria for the usual definition of life. Still up for debate. Particles following evolutionary rules. Me, yes. It would be cool to be a humongous fungus.

The 3D made out of 2D assets effect really works well in this game.
Very cool.
What a run!

Didn't know it had an update. remembered back then just going forward and doing infinite toothpicks barrage on the enemies.
Roar!
Love the look and feel of this one. Fighting and eating monster shrooms, what a life.
The art and the style of the game are amazing! Looks fun!

Glad you like it! I really got hooked on it!
Personally, I've always viewed such games as using your skills to *overcome* RNG, by creating a build that works in all situations.
Loving the 'paper art' sort of style here!

Imagine a Binding of Issac collaboration with this dev team 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
If Cult of the Lamb and Inscryption had a child
I'm sure Slay the Spire got in on the action somehow.

wow I was literally thinking about this game yesterday
I welcome all games involving fungi although it would be nice if they were portrayed in a positive light for once.
I should play more Mario games.

Looks like an OK Fungeon crawler. Just a little tired of card-based systems.
Are mushrooms alive?
Are viruses alive?
Are you alive?
