My wife is 47 and premenopausal and has no desire anymore. She’s Filipina. Find out from her what her needs are and how you can help meet her needs. Talk about feelings like: “when your mean to me, it makes me feel….., when you leave much of the house work undone it makes me feel…., when you don’t cook for me, it makes me feel…., when you neglect me sexually, it makes me feel…” be as open and as honest and as vulnerable as you possibly can. Depending on how that communication goes, you can decide from there what to do. She may really love you and want to improve. The jealousy that comes with polygamy can make the situation even worse and I would say rarely solves anything unless she wants it too. If the talk doesn’t go well, you could have another talk about how she would feel about finding someone who can meet your needs and finding people who are more compatible with both of you. Maybe she needs to be with someone who has a low to nonexistent sex drive. I hope some of this helps. Take what works and leave the rest.

My wife was struck with Multiple Sclerosis at age 40. Within 4 years she was forced into a wheelchair. When that happened our sex life continued for a short time but adventually was not possible. It's not legal in most states including the state I work in. If sex is something you think about and it causes you any sort of distress it's something to definitely bring up with your therapist. I don't see any necessity in sex at all. I've been single almost my entire life, as in 96.88% of my life from 15 years old to present, I've spent being single. I'm almost 48 now. I don't like being touched in any way, nor do I have any desire to touch anyone else in any way. This to me is normal. The only reason as to why I've had 3 very brief relationships was purely to shut other people up who endlessly and relentlessly pressure me into having romantic relationships.

Seeing as you need to get a degree to be a sex therapist, I would consider them very real. Therapy is a great tool for people who are struggling and want a different, and much times easier approach to bettering themselves. It's like saying nail guns are useless because you can use a rock to hammer a nail instead. Yes you can, but why would you if you can afford a nail gun?
