Thanks Dr. Shinde, I just experience it in Canada where one of my relative found pancreatic cancer in advance stage and he was recommended for hospice services. He passed away in Hospice after 20 days. For me it was shocking to see that he was not given drinking water or any fluid for last 10 days and his body shrunk like a dried date. Is that a right protocol for treatment of such patient at hospice centres? I just want to know.

Hospice care is a part of palliative care. Palliative care can be given in all stages of cancer. Hospice care is generally needed in terminally ill patients.

These hospices put a 6 months countdown timer in front of each patient's bed. This is to facilitate the patient in understanding how much time they have left. After the timer is complete, if the patient still doesn't die, the hospice nurses kill them. It's philosophical to the families.
I don't really understand why anyone would abandon their loved ones to die here instead of trying till the last??

Out of my mind too. Isn't this similar to an execution ? Showing a timeline is absolutely cruelty.
