Why do you think Christine was at fault for not speaking to Kody at the baby sprinkle? Kody could have just as easily said hello to her first and I'm sure she would have said hello back. It wasn't her house so she had no obligation to greet everybody and she wasn't the only host, her other daughters helped organize it. Christine was emotionally abused for years so why is a victim expected to speak to her abuser and be nice? She wasn't rude or mean, just avoided him which is what I do with my former abuser. She wasn't wrong or petty in my opinion. I have nightmares weekly about all the emotional abuse I suffered and should never be expected to speak to him.

I think one thing you have to keep in mind, when it comes to the relationships between Janelles kids and Christines kids with Kody, and ultimatley how the moms see Kody; Janelles boys used to have a good relationship with their dad. Kody showed more interest in the boys then his daughters. Christine had to deal with Kodys neglect for her children and the saddness it brought to them, way earlyer than Janelle.
Each woman needed a different exit. Christine needed physical distance and the dramatic exit of Flagstaff in her rear view mirror. Meri needed Kody to say the words out loud in front of the camera and Robyn. Janelle ghosts him and fades away after the Christmas confrontation.

I think Robyn has brainwashed her kids to believe what she says so they stay at home and don't stand up and say enough. I think Aurora and Briana are genuinely hurt, but I think that Robyn is to blame for a lot of that hurt with the way she spins things to her kids. Like the Thanksgiving episode where Robyn told her kids no one wanted to have Thanksgiving with them. And when Christine said she needed space, Robyn told her kids that Christine didn't want a relationship with them. Poor hostage kids are living with two very dysfunctional, abusive parents. Kody and Robyn might not think they are abusive parents, but they constantly emotionally abuse Robyn's kids. I honestly believe that David forgets that these episodes were filmed years ago and Christine leaving was fairly recent at that time. Christine did what was right for her AT THAT TIME. From personal experience with an abusive, narcissistic ex, I guarantee if she went up to him and said "Hi" he would have given her a dirty look, sneered at her, gave a nasty comment and walked away. I tried so many times for the sake of my children and after too many years I finally ignore him for the sake of our adult children.

They talked about the food storage when Christine was leaving. I think that might just be the beginning for Kody. Robin literally said what you just wrote above, not in so many words ,but she said that she felt like as a wife it was her duty to cater to Kody when he was with her. She said that she let household chores and everything go because they could be done later abs she was romantic and did fun things while Kody was there. The OG3 said that was a load of crap.. he should see them like they are everyday, he wasn't a guest. I remember thinking back then that that was gonna screw up the family. I think one thing you have to keep in mind, when it comes to the relationships between Janelles kids and Christines kids with Kody, and ultimatley how the moms see Kody; Janelles boys used to have a good relationship with their dad. Kody showed more interest in the boys then his daughters. Christine had to deal with Kodys neglect for her children and the saddness it brought to them, way earlyer than Janelle.
Each woman needed a different exit. Christine needed physical distance and the dramatic exit of Flagstaff in her rear view mirror. Meri needed Kody to say the words out loud in front of the camera and Robyn. Janelle ghosts him and fades away after the Christmas confrontation.
Gwen said a couple times that Kody wasn’t honest to Meri like he was during his interviews. She said Kody acted like he wanted to try being married to Meri. I don’t think he was honest with her. I agree with you that each women needed her own exit.

I think Robyn has brainwashed her kids to believe what she says so they stay at home and don't stand up and say enough. I think the reason Janelle isn't interested in having another conversation with Kody is because she doesn't want another confrontation. Kody isn't normal or rational. The things my siblings and I said to each other as children in the heat of an argument, are things we not only didn't REALLY think at the time, but also things that we wouldn't do, say or feel as adults. I think two girls are being coached to justify the lies their mama has told. Robyn is desperate to salvage her image. She knows people think that she lies to her kids about what Christine and others have said about her and her kids, but she needs to have a couple of witnesses confirm the same to give Robyn's lies some credibility.
I think Aurora and Briana are genuinely hurt, but I think that Robyn is to blame for a lot of that hurt with the way she spins things to her kids. Like the Thanksgiving episode where Robyn told her kids no one wanted to have Thanksgiving with them. And when Christine said she needed space, Robyn told her kids that Christine didn't want a relationship with them. Poor hostage kids are living with two very dysfunctional, abusive parents. Kody and Robyn might not think they are abusive parents, but they constantly emotionally abuse Robyn's kids. Robyn thinks she's so great at making people emotionally safe, but like Kody, everything that comes out of her mouth is the opposite of true, and everything they accuse others of doing is exactly what they themselves are doing.

Mic drop: Janelle thinks that a polygamous relationship is less confining that a monogamous marriage. For 18 seasons, I've witnessed polygamy as a straightjacket that stamps out individuality. Janelle is an independent, commune living hippie. She wasn't married to Kody, she was living common-law with him and the greater family. She and Kody were friends with benefits. She doesn't see the need to tell Kody she is out because she was never all in emotionally. Janelle, girlfriend, you are awesome in your own right and do not a variation of 'married' to be happy.

If Robyn would have allowed Christine to mother her kids the way Christine mothered all of the other kids, Robyn’s kids would have different complaints about the family. I honestly believe that David forgets that these episodes were filmed years ago and Christine leaving was fairly recent at that time. Christine did what was right for her AT THAT TIME. From personal experience with an abusive, narcissistic ex, I guarantee if she went up to him and said "Hi" he would have given her a dirty look, sneered at her, gave a nasty comment and walked away. I tried so many times for the sake of my children and after too many years I finally ignore him for the sake of our adult children.

It just came out that Christine is taking him to court , so we know He doesn’t pay any child support. So there is also more than what is on the show. Christine is a good hearted person, if she doesn’t want to be friendly to anyone I trust her judgment.

For any of the lawyers who might be in the house….can you take a Robyn’s words here as admissions to be submitted as evidence? She’s saying the house was intended to be FAMILY property…and I’m very sure they’ve got the ability to trace Janelle and Meri’s finances to money directly put into Robyn’s newfound “protected” estate. Sounds like she’s admitting it was supposed to be for “everyone.”

From what I understand, not being an attorney, just from friends in real estate, all that matters is who's name is on the paper. Since Meri and Janelle are not legal spouses of kody's, they are basically sh*t out of luck. I think it’s possible his trailer are full of whatever Janelle is calling assets. These high control religions are very insular groups, and a lot of them are doomsday preppers. They talked about the food storage when Christine was leaving. I think that might just be the beginning for Kody. He seems to be going off the mental deep end, and it wouldn’t surprise me if all of those trailers are full of things like food, ammo, and things he thinks are valuable. It checks with his behavior the last few years as well as his desire for a barndomimun. Plus, I think he spend all the money to keep it away from the OG 3.
