    The same engine is on W202 CDI. What oil do you recommend? Is MB229.1 fine?

    Hello,my w210 2001,220 CDI engine used to shake(misfires) between 1200-1400 RPMs,after some times it expanded and started to do the same at 1200-1400 RPMs and 1600- 1900RPMs,also when water warms up to 60 degree celsius and hold accelerator pedal EPC light comes on dashboard and RPM doesnot goes further than 3000RPMs,I know that MAF or rail pressure sensor is going bad but can it be caused due to the bad diesel injectors?
    Misfires occur only in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears,no shakes or misfires in neutral.

    Hi man, appreciate your work! I have w210 with 2.7 l engine but don't have owner's manual to check what oil (viscosity and MB approval) is for my engine. Mercedes used to create manuals so they are suitable for "brother engines" and my engine 216.961 is same as yours just with one more cylinder. I'd appreciate it if you could check in your manual what oil (viscosity and MB approval) is for my E 270.

      I don't have the manual . The viscosity can be debatable and it also depends a lot where you will drive the car mostly ( - 30 degrees or 25 + degrees ) Where I live its used mostly 5w 40 but also 5w 30 or 0w 30

      This problem with diesel engines usually occurs when there is not enough fuel for the process or there is not enough air to burn the injected fuel into the cylinder. The best way would be to check all the air sensors through computer diagnostics and make sure that the compressed air path from the turbine to the engine is closed so that all the pipes are tight enough. Also a big problem is the leakage of compressed air through the swirl flaps system at the intake manifold.
