Trust me you can't get a better girl group to stan... and in fact Dreamcatcher has raised the standard so high it is even hard for me to enjoy other girl groups like I did before. And you haven't even see their live performances and experience their live concerts yet. They all can really really sing & rap, dance with incredible healthy visual. I am yet to find a song I don't like from Dreamcatcher. Their B-sides are all killers that could be title track for any other groups and when they cover a song, they make it their own. On top of all that, they have wonderful & amazing personalities with a CEO that believes in them & even created a company dedicates only for them. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point. Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy. Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song? Odd Eye is part 3 of the Dystopia trilogy. People can get lost in the world of the Internet and social media and their online personas can take over their life. Dreamcatcher want us to use our odd eye to see through the lies (on Facebook and others) and don't be fooled by the "lies masked in sweetness". I can only recommend to keep reacting to them, they are always interesting and entertaining! And the song is a banger! In BEcause, Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's backing vocals is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done. About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. They noted that if you look at "BE" as a written Chinese character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". And I didn't even touch on the references to the movie "Us" yet, there is so much going on. The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "Your face turns blue, blue. Your expression is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art. You and I is part 4 of the 6-MV Nightmare arc, so you won't understand anything unless you start from the beginning. 😉 But before that I would recommend to react to Deja Vu (which is a masterpiece) and their newest releases Maison and Vision. And if you like, they just released "Reason", a fan-song for their 6th anniversary, which includes footage from their reaction to their first win after 1923 days.
Dystopia the tree of language is the album you need to react/listen, the one with scream as title track is Considered the best dreamcatcher album by far, some of the track has special clip or dance performance so it will easy to digest the song when you are reacting and probably you should make it 2/3 part cause is that long👌🏻😘

If you want storylines, then their two newest songs, Maison and Vision have a shared storyline. Also Deja Vu is like a little short story in the form of a MV. If you just want good songs, most Dreamcatcher songs are top tier. And if you want to hear some B-sides, an easy place to look is the Dystopia: Tree of language album. It has everything in one place, and personally I think Scream is in the bottom half of the songs on that album, which is saying A LOT!

Scream, Boca, and Odd Eye are about bullying. I'm not going super in depth but here's an overview: Scream is about how people hide behind a disguise and say hurtful things for no good reason and in the end you just want to say hurtful things back. Boca is about the power of words and how you should close your boca (mouth in spanish) unless you're going to say something nice. It also references idol suicides in the line "too many angels dying now". Odd Eye is about going to social media and thinking you've found a 'utopia' but then seeing it's just as bad if not worse than the real world. In the end Dreamcatcher comes to the conclusion that that utopia doesn't exist and the only way to experience it is to find it within oneself.

Just stumbled on your video for first time! Love your reactions! I see you eyeing Maison and Piri, my suggestion is DO IT! 🤣. Also add "Deja Vu" in that mix you won't regret it! My suggestion for full album listen is "Apocalypse, save us". All the members have a solo song in there so you can hear their individual talent each. It's also the album that "Maison" is on. Song suggestions for Part 2: Piri is a great choice, it's one of their best in my opinion. Deja Vu is required Dreamcatcher and shows more vocals. To see the different sides of the very talented group, Red Sun is (probably) their most popular b-side and the m/v is choreographed by their main dancer (spicy warning). Sahara is a great rock song from the Scream album, the m/v shows a very important side of Dreamcatcher other m/v's don't.

If you want storylines, then their two newest songs, Maison and Vision have a shared storyline. Also Deja Vu is like a little short story in the form of a MV. If you just want good songs, most Dreamcatcher songs are top tier. And if you want to hear some B-sides, an easy place to look is the Dystopia: Tree of language album. It has everything in one place, and personally I think Scream is in the bottom half of the songs on that album, which is saying A LOT!

Scream, Boca, and Odd Eye are about bullying. I'm not going super in depth but here's an overview: Scream is about how people hide behind a disguise and say hurtful things for no good reason and in the end you just want to say hurtful things back. Boca is about the power of words and how you should close your boca (mouth in spanish) unless you're going to say something nice. It also references idol suicides in the line "too many angels dying now". Odd Eye is about going to social media and thinking you've found a 'utopia' but then seeing it's just as bad if not worse than the real world. In the end Dreamcatcher comes to the conclusion that that utopia doesn't exist and the only way to experience it is to find it within oneself.

Song suggestions for Part 2: Piri is a great choice, it's one of their best in my opinion. Deja Vu is required Dreamcatcher and shows more vocals. To see the different sides of the very talented group, Red Sun is (probably) their most popular b-side and the m/v is choreographed by their main dancer (spicy warning). Sahara is a great rock song from the Scream album, the m/v shows a very important side of Dreamcatcher other m/v's don't.
