I've always been slightly envious of those lucky people who live in the flats next to the ski-jump. Though it must get quite noisy and claggy at times! Another enjoyable journey thanks.
@@TheTouristLine There was until recently a level-crossing keepers cottage up for sale in Paignton for 380k, but no-one seemed to take interest so the sign came down again. I thought it was a bit overpriced for what it is, even with steam trains passing by most days. I suspect all ornaments and things would have to be glued to the shelves!
BURRS USED TO BE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO WATCH AND PHOTOGRAPH THE TRAINS . IT HAS BEEN RUINED OVER THE YEARS WITH WEEKEND GYPSIES AND STATIONS THAT NEVER WERE ..... I DON'T GET WHY YOU FLIP TO A CAB VIEW ON SOME OF THE BETTER VIEWS ALONG THE LINE
Thank you for watching. It is always tricky when flicking between cab and buffer as somebody will always miss out on a favourite view etc. I do have a version from Rawtenstall right through to Heywood that is purely buffer, that can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/_7s3F4jDKh8/v-deo.html
The section between Bury and Ramsbottom is operated by direction levers, not tokens. Each of the two signal boxes has an electrically interlocked direction lever that releases the section signal of the opposite Box into the section.

I often wonder when I see any property next to a heritage line, do they love it or just take it for granted? I guess it will be a mixture of both.

@@TheTouristLine cheers for that buddy
Wonderful
Cheers Erik, appreciated as always 👍
Why did they leave Bury Bolton St without the token for the next section?
I will watch this one back tonight to see, it could be a trick of editing as I filmed parts of this twice.
@@TheTouristLine I was just curious because I didnt see a pouch hanging in the cab.
