We had a couple of frosty mornings last week. It can be disheartening watching YT gardening channels that are located in south England where by this time of year, their garden looks like Edan. Gardening in Scotland teaches you to not be too stubborn when deciding what to grow, the temperature will decide.
So true! The spring was so late this year, and seems we've skipped spring and gone straight to summer! Although the warm weather is lovely, I now find myself wishing for rain, ideally between 2-4am 😂 oh the joy of gardening ❤
I’m dreading the “heatwave” passing in the central belt…my seedlings have been doing quite well so far… fruit trees look lovely. Looking forward to a more in-depth look at them!
Oh same! Hope your seedling are growing on well. The warm weather is lovely but the lack of rain makes me feel like watering the garden is now my new part time job 😂
Great video! Good to see you're growing pumpkins. This is my first attempt at growing them but wasn't totally convinced Scotland's weather would be any good but happy to see you're doing them too 😅😊 Looking forward to the next video!
Thank you so much, and so lovely to hear you enjoyed the video. Ah pumpkins grow great in Scotland, I've come to the conclusion the trick is to make sure you feed and water loads! Such hungry plants! and of course harvest before there's any frost! I've made that mistake before and lost the whole crop 😂
Hi deb the green house is so de. Di garden is looking great, I am attempting to grow sugar baby watermelon dis year and see how I go. But I've never been so excited to see my shetland blacks growing😊 ❤ sheena
AW I love the purplehouse 😂 oh I've never tried growing the baby watermelons, not after my disastrous attempts at melon a few years ago! You'll have to let me know how you get on with them. Oh I'm so delighted to hear you've got Shetland black tatties! I wasn't sure if there where any left! I think alot got lost to the weather a few years ago!! so chuffed for you!! ah I'd love to grow them too if I got the chance! ❤
The video I've been waiting on lol....Great tip on the tomato seeds I spent ages tryin to pick them all off the kitchen roll didn't even enter my mind to do what you did duh 🙄....Love the green house looks fab.😊
oh how are you getting on with the melon? I haven't tried growing melon after a disastrous attempt a few years ago! but on a happier note, the avocado plant that I thought had died has started growing! So it goes to show there's always hope and always worth a try 😄
