I have never heard Glady's voice before thank you so much for sharing!!
Really sweet isn’t it.Hi spa guy.such great work your doing.thank you so much my friend.
it's such a shame she passed at such a young age. I feel if she had been alive, Elvis would not have gone down the destructive path he chose. He missed her terribly. At least they are together now.
Yes me either and a few people that were friends of Elvis said they never heard her voice either.
Precious!!!❤️❤️
Hi Billy I was just going to say the same thing..such a sweet lady..so proud of their boy..EP forever 💞
Everybody was so mindful then, respectful of ‘yes mam & yes sir’ that it was easy to carry on in simple conversations-. ...nobody putting on airs but being happy just to talk. ..a lovely time in our history and I sure do miss them days-
Me too. I was 12 years old when Elvis first came out and mesmerized me first by his voice and then when I saw him, his looks. We respected each other and our great institutions. Screaming at an Elvis concert we considered rebellious.
Most definitely miss those days!!!
This lady did so much for the black community. I’m shocked by this. I never would have guessed. Treated my great grandparents with a lot of respect. That says a lot for me. RIP.
Yes respect was certainly the order if the day back then wish we lived in that kind of world today.
@@donkeeton7897 such strong family morals!
This is priceless. Loved listening to his parents, especially Gladys with her southern accent. They were indeed very proud talking about their son.
Sweet dreams sweet prince and princess.
Yes,so pleasant southern accent, and easy to understand because so slow.
They seemed like great parents! Did alto for their community!
You know that Gladys and Vernon were so proud of Elvis. A couple of years later Gladys told several people that she wished they were poor again because Elvis was always gone and she missed him so much as I know that Elvis missed his Momma but he was serious about his career and wanted to make money to take care of his parents.
I love a Southern accent.❤
No wonder Elvis was such a well mannered person, he come from good and decent people , thank you for sharing this audio .
I agree. She was a very strong lady and had to be during those times!
There is something comforting hearing the voices of Elvis' parents. Gladys sounds sweet and sincere.
She sounds so much like Elvis the southern accent love it
@@marthaashley2211 I hope she sounds like him he came from her 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hearing Gladys' voice so sweet, I can see why Elvis was so fond of his mother.
Seem like good people.
Very good people.
@@mrsx7944 ok
I agree. I was told some wonderful memories of her. She was ahead of her time with race relations in this country. Can’t thank them enough. They were in your face but really funny folks.
I agree. That is the reason why he was so soft spoken. I love listening to them!!
@@AzMom99 I know. I miss loved ones that have passed. These chats have been good for me lol.
Well, we can all see now where Elvis got his famous line at when Vernon and Gladys say "Thank you, thank you very much!" in harmony! :)
He was the perfect hybrid of both! I hear and see both his parents in him. He had his mom's smokey eyes, dad's chin
And he had his mother's bow lips.
Anyone who really loves Elvis has to love Vernon and Gladys as well (wouldn't have him without them)
I am from England and I cried when he died, I felt like I had lost a brother...
R.I.P Gladys, Elvis, and Vernon Presley.
RIP
I send my condolences.9-12-21
Their family chain have been put, back together now, they blessed us with their presence.
This is the first time I have heard his mother’s voice! Beautiful people. So polite in the south
+ Life is so short too. 23 years later all three of them would have passed away. Elvis packed a lot into the 21 years more he had.
What a sweet voice his mother had. If she had lived, I can just see Elvis intoducing both of them onstage
This was the first time I heard Gladys' voice. She sounds so adorable. Thank you!
Me 2 and sounds like Elvis with the southern accent love it
Elvis is/was a gorgeous combinations of both his parents .
That's exactly what I say. Great genes for looks and grace.
YES!
Wouldn’t it have been a crazy world if Jessy his stillborn Brother had survived? There could have been the handsome Presley duo.
If anyone thinks they're an atheist, take a good look at Elvis Presley ,and you'll surely know there's a God 🙏🤣 in heaven who made Elvis especially for we the people.
What a sweet lady his mother was. Just down home and polite folks. He absolutely looks like Gladys. You can see where he got his manners from.
+MrSteamhammer100 n
I don't see it
It's the eyes that are alike and the shape of the face.
@@barbarahoblin5884 eyes are hers, but shape is Vernon's. He has alot of both of them. I just wonder where he got his lips! 😉
м͠ΆijξŝTÍČ he looks just like his mother!
His mother sound like a sweet, down to earth lady!! He truly loved his parents a lot!!
Every son needs a mother like this, and every mother needs a son like Elvis.
So called son is a puppet girl and the mother a 100% PUPPET MAN! You've been had!
I have a son my only child he is a lot like Elvis just amazing and all I gotta say is the LOVE if you have love you have God and how wonderful it is when you have love and are heavenly father you got it all and friends that's what GLADYS PRESLEY had that's why her son and mine turned out to be gentleman!! C'était une famille aimante . Elvis ressemblait beaucoup à sa maman . Reposez en paix 🌷🌹❤️
Such a lovely voice Ms Gladys had. Both parents class acts
Elvis totally sound like his father's speaking voice but a powerful mixture of both parents in the looks department!
May they all Rest In Peace.
Lovingly remembered this April 25th, Gladys Love Smith Presley--Happy birthday in heaven to a beautiful lady.
WOW.......Gladys Presley's voice on a recording. First time I ever heard her speak. She sounds like the salt of the earth. Good country folks.
Gladys has a wondeful and sweet voice❤
Beautiful people who raised an extraordinary son. So sad she passed away too soon, it really affected him a lot even more so than most people. I cry every time I see the pictures of Elvis crying ): I wish I could give him a hug
Just wonderful. How amazing
You can if you can get near the TRUMP DRAG KING creature! Good luck!
I know I feel the same, I can feel his pain,
@@PotavilleAre you insinuating Trump is trying to be like Elvis in looks with his hair or is there really a Drag Queen that does Elvis Impersonating at Trump parties? Your comment is confusing, but made me laugh if it’s about Trump’s hair. I’m just curious 😂
@@steelersgirl9636? No! I did not not insinuate anything. I was simply responding to the woman? Noelle P's comment above. She? Said. "I cry every time I see the pictures of Elvis crying ): I wish I could give him a hug." I said clearly with no confusion at all, "You can "Hug Elvis" if you can get near the TRUMP DRAG KING creature! Good luck!" Let me now re-phrase my comment with more exact detail to make it crystal clear for you! The dn ǝpıs uʍop fake manufactured TRUMP DRAG KING + THE dn ǝpıs uʍop fake manufactured ELVIS DRAG KING ARE IN FACT THE EXACT SAME WOMAN! I do hope that will clear up your confusion! I really do. May not due to massive widespread worldwide cognitive dissonance.
I wonder what it would have been like if Elvis’ twin lived and how things would have turned out.
So nice to hear Gladys' voice. I have always wondered what her voice sounded like. It's a nice sweet youthful voice.
Gladys had a beautiful Southern charm voice and always was nice to Elvis' fans often inviting them home from the grocery store to get an autograph from Elvis when they lived on Audubon Drive.
Элвис хоть и вырос в бедной семье, но он был счастлив, потому что его родители окружили своего сына любовью и заботой, а он как любящий сын сделал все для папы и мамы чтобы они жили в достатке.
What a gem. So nice to hear their voices. What sweet parents, Elvis had. RIP Gladys’, Vernon, Dodger, Elvis.
Lovely genuine people who raised a beautiful son God bless them all God bless Jesse
Good people.
I feel the same way as alot of you you. It give me chill's to here Gladys voice for the first time. For some reason I always wanted to hear her voice and I just did. It was the voice that Elvis loved more than anything in this world. Thanks for this vid. Means the world to me.

Just down home folk seem to be very nice people that had a son that the world adored and still do....I was nice to hear Glady's voice I had never ever heard it before....
Love to hear Gladys and Vernon. Gladys you are Adorable!! Gladys is not just Elvis' mother, she is also his #1 Fan.
Elvis really looked like his father.. His bone structure is very close to his dad's.
mvstudios1 No he didn’t look like his father...he had his build, but he definitely looked like her! I believe he was the most beautiful human that GOD ever put on this earth!!!!
It’s like he was angelic. God knew what he was doing with Elvis.
@@deannalee7520 Yeah you would not have said that if he was a one hit wonder or not making any $.
Both 100% females!
Structure being bone and proportion. What you recognized are the features. He has mom's features n structure of dad's. Mom had a short rounder face where dad's is longer and rectangular. Structure is what u see 1st. Not details.. From a far u recognize structure. You can see that clearly. Tracing it and you see he is more dad from a far.
Elvis died taking a shit
Mr.s Presley sounds similar to my mom.
nice, its the first time i ever heard the voice of Gladys Presley. What great times they must have had those days.
Beautiful To Hear This Beautiful Parents Tribute To Their Great Son . I Think They Love Over Everything . Beautiful Memories
Beautiful Couple So Simple And So Sweet ❤️
Haha Vernon always answers with the "...hard to say" before answering any question. I love these people like my own family (strange but true). Gladys is so very beautiful in every way. God Bless their Souls.
I wish i could have met him when i lived in Memphis back in 1970-71, i have a cousin that was very close to Elvis when they were kids. Several relatives still live there.
WHAT WAS GLADYS FAVOURITE SONGS ????
don't be cruel
Baby Let's Play House and Don't Be Cruel.
What, a loving mother s voice Mrs Gladys had
sounds to me like Elvis has his mother's southern accent, certainly he has her lips and eyes (Cherokee Indian) but dads face also.
She also of english decent, ie her maiden name is smith. Presley is scottish.
The beautiful humble family but allways passed the way so yuong.Gladys, Elvis and Vernon so sad. God bless all togheter in heaven with Elvis.
First time I've heard her voice and she sound so sweet and Vernon too. Wonderful parents supporting their son.
What a beautiful voice gladys had.
She sounds very humble. Something about it touched me.
What a beautiful family :) You can just feel the love between them in the photos.. and yes Gladys does have a very sweet feminine voice I didn't expect such a lovely voice! *sigh* It makes me happy to know they'd have such a sweet reunion in the afterlife :) But at the same time they were separated.. But that's just one of life's torturous qualities *sigh*....

I heard Elvis one time say his Dad's favorite of his songs was "Trying To Get To You"
When I see them all three in the same picture, it feels bad. None of them lives anymore. That's life. Hope their energy had found eachother.
Me too,I often wonder if their energy came together...did u kno his mom died aug.14th an Elvis died on aug.16th....they loved each other so much.

So heartbreaking that the Presley family died so young. But Elvis’s music will be with us forever. 👑
Yes tcb forever ❤️
If you watch other E.P interviews, he often say's the very same thing as this Father "Well Sir" then answers question.
Lemme tell you Elvis was his mommas # 1 fan too & that is so sweet to me. Just how a son should be!
Elvis gets his good looks from his Mother. He loved both his parents very much.
Elvis has his mama’s eyes & good looks from his dad, love his parents for producing Elvis!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He had wonderful parents and a great upbringing. 😊 They helped to mold him into the special person we all grew to love and miss to this day! You just.can't get enough of him even though he left us way to soon. But he accomplished so much in his short life. Memories he made for us long after he had to go away. Interesting. Gladys was the one constant in Elvis's life. He adored his mother and it is through Gladys had some sense of faith. She was a devout Assembly of God church member. What a shame she died so young. Thanks for sharing this video.

Wow, did he look just like his father. In a way it was good that Gladys passed away before Elvis died, it would have killed her had he died first. He was her only surviving child and she loved him very much. It was nice to hear his parent's voices, thanks for uploading!

Elvis's Mom Looks like Marie Osmond Mom Olvie
You know they became very close right? The Osmonds used to play the same hotel in Vegas & he would go watch their shows. They struck up a lifelong friendship, which Mrs. Osmond always kept private. Marie wrote in her book that she knew he would call the house often & they would talk for hours, but her Mom would never break his confidence & say what they spoke of. I was so glad to hear he had her, because she also always seemed like a very lovely lady!
@@afan4370 Thank you for sharing that! Fascinating factoid. Bless his heart well I am glad he found a surrogate Mom in Mrs. Osmond. I am sure it was comforting to him.
The man interviewing them was WWWB AM & FM radio, from Jasper, Alabama DJ; Charlie Watts! I use to work at WWWB AM & FM, later; WZPQ-AM & WZBQ-FM and am from Jasper, Alabama the home town of; Charlie Watts... Watts shared the whole story of how they slipped a recorder into the interview, but were not supposed to record the interview.... RCA Years later, after Gladys passed away, found out about the recording, which is the only audio recording of Gladys' voice and made arrangements to obtain a copy from Watts to include on the above sited albums.....
It was the first time I heard Gladys' voice too. So very nice. Thanks for posting this.
