Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. If you enjoy Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, definitely give Town of Salem a try
Game 2 is like a legit vampire horror movie. Everyone turns out to be evil or vampires, and the only ones left standing at the end are a very tired vampire hunter and his wisecracking sidekick.
Can the sidekick be an arsonist?

Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing too many vampire movies that involved arsonists.
I've played with E Cult Leader before. Always watch out for that guys fake claims. He loves VH in vamp games, and Medium if they're Maf or Coven.

That VH game is such a highlight. He had the vamps just as convinced as you and really killed their morale.

also 15 was fake the moment they said they staked 11 but 11 only shows pipe's stake.
The minute Pipe said 'they said "hehehehe d1 vh claim op"' and he replied 'yep', I was like, ask him for another line of vamp chat because that's sus AF!!! I doubted BOTH of them from the start, neither posted ANY vamp chat at all just reposted what Pipe had already put.

VH is a fun role as long as you dont get nuked by mafia the first couple nights. Maf really doesn't want you dead, you're like the only town role they need, because vamps are a bigger threat to them than to town and yet maf always seems to go for the VH claim because they think "hur hur town has to die"
If I would survive past day 2 then I'd say it all the time, VH is up there on my favorite roles, it's just that evils (myself included because you need chaos to win as evil) kill you
He played his role so well i think he forgot he was Jester at some point
I like how the VH goes into a persons home, drives a wooden stake through their heart and then in the morning is like, "Oh, they are alive. Guess they are not vamp!!".

The funny thing is if Pipe did that to 15 he would realize 15 fake claimed VH and probably make them hang him just as he wants, it half worked out in this case

Man I knew 15 was a doubt when after "confirming" the vampires' first night message they didn't immediately quote the second themselves, any VH wanting to prove themselves would wanna do that.
Then when 7 was "staked" and didn't die but was obviously vampire it was way more likely that 15 was neither VH nor vamp at all than that they were a misclicking VH. Good move pairing this video up with the failure of a Crusader in the first game though, to make that possibility seem more likely.
If you'd followed your doubts and staked 7 it would have saved the Transporter, the Mayor and even the Mayor's GA. They all got pulled into a lost-cause situation by the doomed vampires. I think it's pretty likely 15 told you they were going to stake 7 on purpose to keep them alive and prolong the game to try and help themselves get lynched. But while they were still "confirmed" they probably needed to work to get themselves accused somehow, like whispering 7 (under the guise of both being "confirmed" VH) to ask the vamps to chat during the night so they could be caught getting their chat wrong.
I think their intention was to claim to have staked 7, have 7 die for being obvious vampire, then when there isn't a "staked by vh" message, get sussed and lynched
Would also work! But would need to have 7 die, and taking them off the radar of the other VH does harm that effort a bit.
@@Miraglyth lol the problem for 15 at that point is the only killing role outside of vamps and the vh left at that point was dusa which meant that they not be confirmed as vamp ( they would have been stoned if the dusa targeted them) at all as the vh trusted that they where vh too the vamps where sure that both 4 and 15 where vh and only the vh knew that 7 had been 'staked' by 15 the only play that may have gotten them the win would have been to reveal and hope to be voted which was unlikely as the vh, mayor and ga would have inno and just when after vamps he likely be turned but it would not really have help at that point
You could tell 7 was a vamp just by how they typed lol. They were typing to themselves to mess with the vamp hunters.

Game 2 played out like a slasher movie, but instead of the vampires being the monster, it was the VH.
That vampire game is insane. There were alot of small clues about the plot twist and it didnt disappoint LMAO

So many plot twists throughout the entire game
Imagine how big brain it would have been if in that 1st game 1 was jugg, 10 was real trapper, and 1 whispered 11 to make it look like he was a surv trying to side instead of jugg.
I just realized that the first and second numbers are different, and I don't remember which one is correct, but I think y'all get the point
I don't think I've seen an all-any game where there was only 1 winner and town won.
I've seen quite a few, usually when its just evils and a townie left and the evils think "I need to get rid of this other evil, he'll go for the townie for sure" and then they kill each other and the poor spy is sat there like "um....guys??"
Oh, I was in a Pipetron game! Didn't realize! I was the jester in the second game. At the end I just begged for them to lynch me thinking I was arso or something, I confirmed myself too hard as VH even though they should have realized I was fake when people I staked were original vamps xD
That was probably the most intense vh game that has ever been played, and ended with a solo vh win. That's insane.
Solo Town win is actually insane, yeah half the town got converted but still.
I knew 7 was fake when they said that they were checking 3, whispered that they got scared and checked 15 instead, but then told town that 3 wasn't vamp.
You can know a revealed mayor isn't a vampire when you cant whisper them,so it's not the stake,just the whisper attempt haha (the "you can't whisper to a revealed mayor" message only shows up for you)

Is a CAA game with no coven as likely as a game with no maf, or is Mafia simply more likely because they are non-unique roles and there are more of them?
Also, using Vamp chat and staking is a pretty cool way to confirm a VH, kinda like Medium using dead chat or Jailor using jail chat. Neat.

i don't know my stats (and not willing to remember what i was taught), but yeah, due to having more mafia roles it's more likely to have a game with maf and no coven than coven and no maf
essentially, coven has: CL, PM, necro, HM, Poisoner, Dusa
Mafia has: GF, Maf
BMer, Consort, Framer, Janitor, Consig, Forger, Hypno, Amb, Disg
Keep in mind, any one of bottom maf roles can be picked as 1 maf game, in which case they insta turn mafioso, so yes, no maf game rarer than no coven game by a lot.

Had a game exactly like this yesterday. Claimed VH and accidentally got myself confirmed by a consig claiming invest who was transd into an attack and cleaned. Thought I'd go along with it until vamps forgot and tried to bite me, ending up being left alone with a vh and a sheriff that had been afk all game

Reminds me a Jester play I made once by faking sheriff my sus and innos (pure guess work) were so on point I was confirmed and could never get pushed for a lynch lol.

I recognized that 15 was fake after they claimed to have staked 7. They also never provided any vamp chat they only agreed with what pipe said.
It really has been a super super long time since I’ve last seen you play VH. Awesome gameplay as usual! I’m a fiend for these daily uploads.

Hey Pipe, next time you get VH, and someone else claims to be VH, if there is vamp chat, instead of relaying the real vamp chat to the other VH, give them a fake chat. If they are a real VH, they will say you're fake, when they do, you can then give the real vamp chat to confirm yourself. I hope that makes sense. I swear it sounded better in my head.
Or give just half of the vamp chat, and ask them to finish the message.

Last time I got vampire hunter, I claimed medium d1 figuring one of the vampires will try to get an easy convert. I rando stabbed him n1 and he walked into me.
Props to the jester in the second game that made the vamps believe they are playing against a stacked vh team and causes them to lose their morale halfway through the game.
Game 2 might be the best game of Town of Salem I’ve ever seen.
Second game felt like a NK win at that point, only the VH won with like 5 vamps in the graveyard.
I have conversations with myself all the time in vamp chat to fuck with potential VH's.
It's probably not an uncommon thing.
Also, Pipe you missed 7 contradicting himself several times lol.
He asked for TP chain and then later claimed VH.
Then he whispered you saying he checked someone, but in day chat said he checked someone else.
Honestly I thought he was jester trying to get you to push him, but i guess not lol.

For my greatest Jester strategy yet, I shall claim “vamp game” day 1, and get lynched when town inevitably finds out that it is not a “vamp game”.

I finally got the rare Vampire Hunter role in town of Salem...
Funny thing with that first game and clicking the wrong target: I once had an escort say they RB'd me. They didn't. They got lynched because I flat out said "No, I didn't get RB'd, the heck are you on?" while they insisted they did. Of course I got lynched the next day after they did. In the gy I told them to go back in their logs to check. Turned out they misclicked and didn't RB anyone that night, thus getting two townies lynched for no reason. They left immediately after saying so.
The moral of the story: that kind of thing does actually happen. It's sus as hell, but it can and does happen.
VH Vamp chat protocol: give one line, ask the other for the next line. Matching line means VH or Vamp.
Despite the gaslit, it works on your favor big time, thanks for the jester 5heads move, lulz. If only 15 reveal himself to 7 in whisper, things would've much gone differently
I think they should add a potion of silence to the pm, it would work well with the poisoner someone tries to ask for heals they just can’t send a message it would tell the person that sent it “you tried to talk but no sound came”

That Jest. . . I feel bad for them. But they really played into it too much. VH trusted them because they're not Vamp. Vamps want to keep him around to cover their tracks. They really painted themselves into a corner, there.

You should've asked 7 and 15 to give you a line of vampire chat day 2, same as you gave 15. Easy, foolproof way to confirm vampire hunters, assuming you've already done the stake test.
Second game was so fun to watch, not often I'm that on the edge of my seat.
I'm pretty sure that game 2 might be the greatest game of ToS ever played. 2 fake VHs, a Jester who confirmed himself by sheer luck, several bites at the same time as the last Vamp dying, and a SOLO TOWN WIN.

when i play vh and vamps are talking, to confirm other vh:
theoretically, say vamp says "this game will be fun." whisper the other vh claim and say, "vamps said 'this will...' what?" force the other vh claim to finish the statement so you know they're real

"I forget... does VH kill non-Vamps at all" assuming they couldn't but been years since I played... and questioned if it was like Maf or Coven that might get converted by 7 whom was not checked by Pipe without personal proof... it was Pipetron's fault town failed so hard... but it was amusing to keep guessing if 15 and/or 7 were actually VH XD

Pipe you can verify vamp chat by saying "Finish this sentence: hehehehe" and if they finish the vamp chat quote correctly, then theyre either vamp or VH.

Was playing classic mode (I’m new) and I got framer. Forgot the specifics, but the game ended day 3 or 4 with only my mafia team and the sk dead.

The jester should have revealed the truth when it was 1v1v1 and told pipe that he would haunt the mayor turned vamp if he gave him the win. Vamp would have lost anyway. Not sure if pipe would want to risk that, but I probably would just because of the hustle
