Put it back in the soil (or a pot) - basically take 4 or 5 cuttings off it. We all do it especially when we rush. It is one plant.❤ make 5 out of it🎉
Oh I wish I knew that at the time 🥺🥺🥺 it’s currently contributing its nutrients to our compost 😂 but all this info is great for when I inevitably do something silly again!!
@@HouseOfTedYT not silly - suspect vlogging affects the concentration - be gentle with yourself
Your garden is amazing, thank you for sharing. Nice to meet and connect with you.❤
Thank you so much !🧡
I think we've all done that at some point. I think you are quite right though, the spot does look much better spaced now and as you say, you have some other plants of a similar type. The learning continues :D
Yep - taking it all as learning to put into next year 😂
Done exactly the same with my cucumber plant , i was well gutted as it was growing so well with a few baby cucumbers growing ..but 1 accidental snip and it was all over .... gutted
Heartbreaking isn’t it ! 🥲
R.I.P green gourd.
It will be missed 🥲
There's a book called "what to do with all those courgettes!" with loads of recipes.
If you cut the broccoli plants at the roots and leave it in, they will release the nutrients back into the soil as it breaks down. Beans/legumes are really good for this as they have little nodules on the roots that store nitrogen and why they are know for nitrogen "fixing" the soil.
Don't fret too much, like Chris said, you can bury the stem in the ground and and it can re root itself. Courgettes can do that as well. It's a squash thing, similar to tomatoes. It's all a learning curve.
Hope everything is ok with your plot neighbour. It's been a tough year for gardening.
Anyway take care and have a great weekend!
Haha that book will be on my birthday list for sure 😂
I’m taking it all as learning for next year and how to improve 🤞🏻 thank you!!
The harvest is starting🎉
Eeeeek!!!
Is there any point in popping the unrooted cut off stem into the soil give it a good water and see if it throws some new roots? As squashes/pumpkins throw so many superficial roots that maybe it will try to live?? Maybe worth a go, nothing to loose :)
I wish these videos were real time 🥲 the stem is now in the compost 😂 but I will try that in future if there are any more tragedies 😂🥲
Hang in there, Emma, don't be too hard on yourself. Remember, there's always next year, and you can put that plant on your compost heap that will benefit your garden later 😊 you do a great job on your plot and you show compassion for your bird and plant friends. Too bad that neighbor can't tidy their plot up and be responsible for the plot that they pay a fee to use the plot. I think that's a very expensive hobby to pay plot rent just to grow weeds 😉
It’s all a learning experience! I know - it upsets me because I know how many people on waiting lists would love to have that plot and look after it!! 🥲
Hi emma , ive just subscribed to you. Ive just started on my raised bed , ive just had some raddish , ive got broccoli, pok chor , and green beans and are all growing well i think , emma my broccoli 🥦 have got tall and a yellow flower as developed from them do i cut the yellow flower off if you know , im watching your vlogs now , im a learner first time grower x 🥦🍅🍀 im wondering if there are things to plant out now , the peppers in my friends are coming on really well 👍👊🍀🍀
Hi Karen! Lovely to have you here 👩🏼🌾👨🏻🌾🐶 I hope your pok choi does well! Mine got absolutely attacked by slugs 🥲 again 🥲 I think if your broccoli is flowering it might have gone over (also called ‘bolting’) and that’s kind of the end for broccoli I’m afraid! It could be the very hot week we’ve had - they don’t like too much sun! I’ve just re-sowed cauliflower, kale, lettuce, lots of greens! And beetroot should still be fine! Good luck with your garden, the learning is the best/hardest bit 🧡🧡
The round zucchini/ courgette is soooo cute. I’m waiting on mine to flower. I’m also waiting on my lemon squash to flower as well 😊
They taste great too! I’m waiting to get some bigger ones so I can scoop out the middle and add filling 👩🍳
I think I’d probably complain about weed killer but I don’t think I’d complain about his plot although not ideal it’s not out of control and you really never know what people’s life situation is and tbh I just try to keep my head in my own business. Some plots on our allotment are really bad and it’s annoying to look at but we focus on us ❤️ . Your doing great so keep doing what you’re doing and every year improves x we have lost an unbelievable amount of stuff to slugs this year 😩😩
The committee has brought it up after a plot inspection this weekend to send him a message that he needs to come and do some work on the plot 🤞🏻 we’re a pretty relaxed site in terms of messy plots but they don’t like it when it becomes an issue for the well kept plots around! So hopefully something will be done 🧡
Thank you!! 👩🌾
It’s definitely the year of the slug 🙃
I think feeders like that attract small birds and theyre too small to eat snails/slugs. I think ducks are best for eating snails but idk how you would get them on your plot 😂
I am waiting for the day Sam lets me have chickens 😂 when we have our farm with loads of land (🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻) in the future we will definitely have pet ducks too
🦆🦆
@@HouseOfTedYT oooohh cute 🥹🥹
@HouseOfTedYT is duck-napping a crime? 1. Turn next door neighbour's weedy plot into a lake. 2. Buy duck food. 3. Visit local park with dog-carrier basket. 4. Pounce on ducks.
(Possibly not one of my better garden plans!)
@chriseverest4380 at least the ducks would make more use of the plot 😂🦆
Fantastisch Good work emma you the best te moostiun te planting te Bloems thans te video Top weekend grootjes ✔️🤗🌱👍💐🥦🌻🌾⛅ 24 +

I've been seeing this exact comment on so many gardening videos for like months already. What does it mean. What does it want.
Same. Usually the same by another acocunt, too. @@TheSnuffy1994
