I would like to say thank you for making a video on what Reconnaissance pilots did in WW2. Although you're film on the 9th Air Force Recon group and not the 8th Air Force Recon group that my Dad was a pilot in it was still enjoying to watch. My father was a highly decorated pilot in the 8th Air Forces 7th photo recon group. By the end of the war the highest honor he received was the Distinguished Service Cross along with many More honors. There an Epilogue on my father (John Richards) in the book that was just about The 8th Air Forces Recon groups in the war. The name of the Book is called " Eyes of the Eighth" The 7th Photographic Reconnaissance Group. In case anyone is interested on reading more on some of the recon pilots in WW2. It has been said he flew the most missions than any other recon pilot did in the ELINT P-38 Droop Snoot witch he flew when he did some of the Top Secret missions he flew. He also other versions of the P-38 along with the British Spit Fire recon style plain. His squadrons that served in where the 13th and 14th of the 7th photo group. I still have alot of the Photos he had from his missions he flew. Thank you again from my self and also from anyone that had a family member that was part of WW2's photo Recon Groups.

Thank you for the nice comments and info about the 8th.
I recently donated the original photos and the book, that are shown in the video, to the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia where they can be preserved for many years to come.

My dad appears at 18:11 C Flight Bottom row far left. He made it through 52 missions over Germany Belgium and France, buzzed the Eiffel tower, and was with the unit until the end of the war.

Thanks for the note about your Dad. Did he also have the same photo collection and book about their experience?
