I love the team effort from your wife to get the gas tank skid plate on and hitch off and back on. The front affordable offroad bumper looks great. I like all you have done with your Grand. Looking sharp!
Thanks for the onboard air idea! Definitely going that route on all 3 of my jeeps.. why go the expensive way when they do the same 😂 thanks again man! Subscribing for sure and hope to keep seeing more of this awesome build!
Matt do yourself a favor and search around for a 242j transfer case. The 249 is a ticking time bomb. The 242 is usually a direct swap and has the 2wd selection along with 4 hi and lo. The 249 uses a viscous coupler, not chain driven and the viscous coupler has a life span of around 150k. Rebuilding it is very expensive and a 242 swap is around 100 to 150$. When the 249 goes out it is notorious for causing collateral damage to differentials, axles, and driveshafts. Rig is looking good so far! Oh one more thing dump those stock upper arms in front, experience has shown me that setup will start to cause the upper pocket to shear away from unibody, have pics to prove🤪. Waiting for my 3 link to arrive to resolve that dangerous dilemma.
hey just came across your video. awesome build man. just wanted to let you know @ 3:07 in your video, there is a shot of the bumper, and right under the passenger headlight, there is a bend in the bumper, I believe with those bumpers that are fold together (the little tab in center) that after assembly you are supposed to Fillet weld the gaps, for structural integrity, just don't want ya hitting something and it not absorbing the impact.
The affordable offroad bumper that he is using is advertised as a modular bumper so you can remove the ends and run it as a stubby bumper. But you could definitely weld it for strength,
@@maxyost7737 okay. I would think though after you assemble it that you are SUPPOSSED to weld it. That way it holds up. What I mean is, that I think the manufacturer intends for you to weld it, I would think that it would void bumper warranty otherwise
Hey man I need some help .. I have the same Jeep mines. 1995 5.2 & 46RH Transmission and I’m having a hard time looking for a Governor pressure sensor & a Governor pressure solenoid also a 3-4 accumulator spring
I just bought a Zj off my buddy real cheap and the rear axle is way out of line with the body. One side is three fingers from the inter wheel to the inter-fender and the other side is eating through the tire how do I move the axle over? The bar that looks like would control this is kinda just hanging there rusted off am I just gonna have to get creative?
What kind of headlights did you install? I've been thinking about installing a ham radio. I wish I would've gotten my tank plate install on video; which, I was going to; but, then my wife & sister showed up; and, immediately helped. Before I knew it, it was in. We used a jack, though.
You should have grounded the converter to the nearest body/chassis ground as possible. That's a huge waste of wire and it isn't the best practice when wiring anything on a vehicle.
Sweet lookin ZJ man and some great upgrades to boot! Love it!
Thanks 👍

trying to find anything right now is insane. junk yard is probably gonna be the only way you find it
@@American4wdOutfitters that’s what my old man was telling me the other day, but thank you ! Nice Jeep can’t wait to get mine lifted with new tires

It sounds like your rear track bar is out of wack (( The Bar You were talking about )) ... That's what keeps your axle true & stright ...
Get an adjustable track bar.
