I believe the oil on the tires is a release agent from the mold! I also think they leave that oil on the tire during storage and shipping to prevent dry rot! We see the same thing in lots of cycling tires(mtb mostly)!

They sent me the 46t spur for the ultimate and I put it in last night. Hopefully going to go run it tonight. Found a pump track by me I don’t know about too! I can’t wait
Love the content on your page. It does not make sense for Traxxas to claim hundred of dollars in upgrades and not include the widemaxx kit. They should have included them the box and let you decide whether to install them or not. Then they can really call it an ultimate. Put all the upgrades in there available then claim ultimate status.
25:42 That’s silicone. Exactly like real tires. For example, with motocycle tires, we are used to be VERY careful the first kilometers after changing a tire, because that thin silicone coat is fcking slippery… So many bikers kissed the road because of this… First turn, tire leaning on the edge with fresh silicone and bye-bye. By the way I love Traxxas does that, looks so nice on fresh tires, very satisfying to me.

Not the belted sledgehammer but the regular ones I did and xmaxx tires I had plenty of power just to low to the ground and the wing causing damage to the body I hated
When i look at the price of my HIfI system that i would be literally embarrassed to tell people how much it cost this is not that bad really. But only if you love it! Plus would be interested to see if all the extra weight slows her down.

Vintage rc dudes use a silicone grease on tires to restore or preserve them. I bet these have a similar thing going on.
