I've been enjoying your channel for years, please keep giving us Miles gems. I only managed to see Miles once, and that was way back in 1986 at Manchester, UK....before I was a big fan, so I don't think I could appreciate him that much. If only I had a time machine.....Isle of Wight 1970 is when I'd set it for.!
For those asking about the French children's lullaby Do do l'enfant do, which apparently inspired Jean Pierre, you can hear a version here: ua-cam.com/video/ioLM0Ig4hFI/v-deo.htmlsi=VgtndngNNZPxomZj
@@monsterjazzlicks There are actually 16 known versions, 4 were recorded at Kix in Boston in June 1981 (including the one released on We Want Miles), 2 at Avery Fisher Hall in July- all of these were recorded by Columbia but remain in the vault- 2 at Savoy NYC, then Washington, Chicago, Detroit, Morrison, Ann Arbor, Hollywood Bowl, Concord and finally Tokyo in October. I've posted the Detroit and Hollywood Bowl concerts and I have some of the others, so I'll get to those at some point.
@@MilestonesArchive 16??? Wow, I had no idea. That's amazing. I would love for them all to be officially released one day. I think I went on a website called Posin which listed the dates and personnel, but not how to source them.
@MilestonesArchive Yes... I'll keep an eye on it. Not to be redundant, but Your Miles content , IS the BEST. I've been a Performing musician for Decades. @ 17 I realized the cat's l love... @@MilestonesArchive I have always been hugely curious about the origins and development of KIX?
