i was getting along great with the campaign, now its been 3 effin days and all I'm doing is mining, I'm about to give up and play something else because this is getting aggravating,
@@markorebic2222 Maybe I just got lucky but most of my mats dropped from doing the vault runs for the damaged parts. So far the only things that I needed to mine are one of the minerals on earth and I just need to farm some yellow veins for the last mats to make the capsule. Should hopefully have my first mech after basically 2 days of grinding and a day and a half of fabrication.

This was the best method I have ever seen. I got 38 hecipron approximately in 25ish minutes. You have my thanks great sir. For those who can not get a lot, I used a panzer vulpaphyla with resourceful retriever, resource booster + resource drop chance booster and it worked out great for me. Also, I used the Excalibur Umbra method since my operator is weak af.
One more tips fellas; Going during Fass's Cycle is more recommended since it increases the number of infected ennemies. Optionally running an isolation Vault 1 is preferable due to the constant swarm of ennemies that keeps harassing you. Of course obelisks can also be found in the Vault. If the obelisk's words isn't one where you can kill with both Nechramech and Operator just search for another, there should be a few other obelisks lying dormant in the vault. However if yar unlucky, just make another vault run.
Completely forgot that the current cycle can affect spawns, and that Iso Vaults have Obelisks too. Great reminders! I appreciate the comment letting people know. However, doing Iso Vault runs with Obelisks is probably more suited for those with a better Amp, as the bonus enemies might spawn with armor or at higher levels. So, beginners with a weaker Amp might have some trouble in that area, but otherwise, it's a great idea if you have the right Amp for it.

I play warframe strictly f2p because I feel like the experience is better (some more than others). But this was painful, thanks to you the grind wasnt as bad, managed to achieve all 40 in 3-4 hours with both mining and obelisk grinding with low level amp and EU. Appreciate the video
This is definitely the most painful grind, as it gatekeeps so much content until it's done. Hopefully, DE makes some more player-friendly changes to it to make the story and progression feel a bit smoother for newer players. Something I just figured out that worked for me, neither mining or this option was dropping anything for me until I tried mining the blue ores very fast. DO NOT DO THE MINIGAME. You are 99% more likely to get anything but heciphron if you actually mine the things instead of just speed blitzing the mining
Yeah, the Necramech and the resources needed, especially Heciphron, are a lot of work early on and have definitely discouraged a few players. However, the grind is much better these days than it was before, and hopefully, DE continues improving the new player experience to make it more accessible.
Hmmm, they may have changed things, just found this video so i figured I'd give it a try...ran 23 of these obelisk's,...not.a.single.heciphron. Getting this so-called "common" material has got to be DE trolling us. This seems to be the single hardest resource to acquire in the entire game, and considering you absolutely NEED it to craft the Necramech, there is no choice but to suffer through this process. Regardless, thank you for this video, I didn't know how to activate these obelisks till now, plus i am getting other resources from them at least.
23 runs without a single Hechiphron sounds like some insanely unlucky Warframe RNG there. Sorry to hear that. But yeah, Hechiphron is definitely one of the bigger walls newer players have to climb, as most of the Necramech resources comes pretty naturally, but Hechiphron can be a real pain for sure. But at least we've got the Obelisk method which gives all sorts of resources, even though it's still heavy on RNG. Hopefully, DE in the future will make Hechiphron more accessible or just make it drop a bit more often. Best of luck on your Necramech grind; there's so much more content on the other side afterward, so look forward to it!
Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this :'( was wondering if I did something wrong All right so.. idk if this was mentioned anywhere in the video but! I had sunpoint plasma equipped, then as a last resort, I decided to change to nosam cutter and tried mining for it again... I passed by an obelisk while otw to a cave and.. lo and behold, I got heciphron. I tried mining the blue veins I saw along the way too and got heciphron. I think... You need to have the nosam cutter equipped, or maybe it's the sunpoint plasma that's causing the problem, no idea. Long story short, I wasted multiple days because of this 🤌
You my friend must be a gift from god. I had managed to collect 12 heciphron in about 8 hours of vaults and mining. And i just got the rest i needed plus more. In about an hour doing this. I can also confirm that one of the other comments were correct you can use umbra Excalibur to help with kills and it counts, as lomg as they are in range. So i would advise that you switch back and forth after the pulse for status effect. And take the weapon off of your companion
Yea, RNG is still a thing but overall youre getting Heciphorn quicker then mining and you also have multiple ores drop at the same time so would still recommend this over mining

I'm currently working my way through a list of video ideas, but I'm open to suggestions for videos people want to see. So, something like that might come up down the line. Right now, I'm focusing on early to mid-game guides since a lot of later content can refer back to those. Having a solid foundation of early content to refer to is pretty helpful. I was struggling with Operator, so instead of using your method I tried minning at Catabolic Gutter using the Nosan Cutter instead of the Sunpoint Plasma Drill, i was getting 6-14 per run, I think that by using a worse drill everytime I would get rarer gems locked by good drills I was getting Heciphrom.
Tip from experience as a low level player like me: you can just farm heciphrom from all veins in cambion drift and their chances are higher especially if there is like a goal like indicator in drilling, not the one that is moving or not moving, indicator the rectangular shaped one, whether it is a yellow vein or blue vein as long as you have the rectangular indicator it gives you a chance to have the heciphron, and I do a run and I farmed 30 heciphron doing that, plus the chances are way more higher if there are 3 drilling points in a vein.
Using the beginner amp is more than enough for this. Just stay in stealth until you have max amp power, then use it fully, go back into stealth, and wait for it to recharge. I just did a run in about 10 minutes and got 12 Heciphron with the beginner amp. The only issue I had was with armored and Eximus enemies, which I took down with my frame and finished off with the amp.

So I tried the xata obelisk cuz you said it was bugged. Just to what see would happen. It's been an hour. Enemies don't spawn anymore but I keep getting it to no health. It resets and there's a blinding blue light that takes up most of my screen if I looks in it's direction. Vome and fass make noises in the distance every 15-30 seconds. Had time to kill and that's what I found ❤ also the requiem icons atop the beacon are all mushed together 😅
How am I supposed to do this when they barely spawn any enemies? After the initial wave it's just silence. Sometimes there are no enemies at all. So annoying.
So far the only thing that's worked for me was mining in the catabolic gutter cave literally to the right of the Fast Travel Beacon. Manage to craft 20 out of the 40 purified hecephron in a couple of hours. Hope this helps.
If I remember correctly, yes, there is a respawn timer on the obelisks. But depending on how fast you are, you can finish a full run before they respawn, making it easier to reload the instance when that happens.
I mined for almost 2 hours and got 19 and thought it was a struggle then I read the comments about people doing this for hours and getting zero and now I feel blessed😂
The blessed one. its like the time when I made my necramech video, I spent 1 hour just getting one drop of heciphron to showcase in the video, even though I didn't need it. Then, when I needed a clip for this video, I got it in the 2nd vein. ;_; Heciphron is a joker.
If the enemies aren't dropping resources, it means they aren't dying as required by the obelisk objective. To start the obelisk, shoot it with your Operator. 1. The enemies need to be killed by either an Operator, Necromech, or Umbra. 2. You need to do the objective tied to the obelisk. (Kill tethered enemeis and so on) Be sure to double-check the obelisk you're at and the specific requirements for the enemies to drop resources.
first hour I kept getting bad/bugged spawns 4 total heciphron, second hour I got 55. RNG is fun. I found it was best to gamble untill you get a good seed of around 6 to 7 of the easiest towers, like tether and blind and just keep doing runs of that.
The Operator weapon is called an Amp, and as you progress further into the game, you'll be able to craft different versions. If you have access to Umbra, I recommend using him while you're in Operator mode, Umbra will automatically attack enemies, and his kills count as Operator kills. This can help speed up the grind a bit if the standard Amp feels a bit slow.

The enemies has to be killed by operator/necramech and Umbra kills count aswell. For the pulse one the pulse hurts them so you need to hurt them down and let the pulse finish them off which makes it pretty hard for some as it either dont hurt them enough or you might insta kill the enemies. Otherwise most of the other obelisk requires operator/Necramech or umbra to have the kill blow yep

Yeah, RNG will be RNG sometimes. I got Heciphron in almost all my runs when I tested it, but there were definitely a few unlucky runs where I hit the void and didn't get any.
Yep, absolutely! Umbra counts as Operator kills while you are in Operator form. So, if you have a weak AMP for your Operator or are struggling a bit to get kills, Umbra is a great alternative.

I am a returning player. I neither have a voidrig nor the archwing launcher module. I want to actually farm the stuff to get a voidrig in the first place. Also my operators damage is sh*t so obelisks are out. The only thing I get from the video is: those who do not need the stuff anymore can farm it easily and I am yearning for the mines.
Welcome back to the game and I highly recommend getting the Archwing Launcher Module, as it shouldn't be hard to obtain. On top of that, I suggest completing the quest to get Umbra Excalibur. When you're in Operator form, the frame will idle and kill enemies for you, counting as Operator kills, which will also drop resources. This should make it much easier to farm Obelisks without worrying too much, as you can stealth in Operator form and let Umbra handle the killing. Let me know if you have any questions! ^^
I honestly am considering dropping warframe altogether. I've been mining/trying to do obelisks for a month now and it just isn't fun anymore. I won't get into the details of mining 'cause we all know it sucks. Talking about obelisks, amp just does a measly 7 dmg in it's base form because it turns out I chose the wrong focus tree to start with so I'll have to farm focus to get a new focus tree, and I can't count on umbra to do kills since AI kills the infested outside of the range of the obelisk 90% of the time. I'm not enjoying the game anymore and it feels like an on purpose speedbump to get you to shell out money. I know it's a game where you got to grind. But this is ridiculous. Borderline psychotic. Never had any trouble with grinding stuff in warframe prior to this, and I spent 2 weeks farming mods for my Hek build. This just feels like I'm getting nowhere.
I get where you're coming from. Warframe’s grind can be rough, especially with mining and low drop rates. Don’t stress too much about the focus school you can switch it up, and some upgrades can be shared across schools, so any progress helps. If the amp isn't working for you, farming a better one could definitely make things easier as you said. But best of luck on the Grind once you get over this wall of The New War the game really opens op for some interesting stuff.
I was fishing and I noticed a blue 3 pronged arrow , I looked at mini map and I could see all the masses you could destroy. Like mines all over the place. Do you know what that's about ?
I can confirm getting Umbra kills while in the operator form counts as operator kills so this should still drop ressources if Umbra kills enemies while doing the Obelisk Objective
If you value your time, don't bother farming heci. Simply buy from Loid instead. Farm mods/primes and sell them using WF market until you have at least 40 plat. Then wait for refined heci to be in Loid's daily deals. Even if you're unlucky, the rotation shouldn't take more than 2-3 days. Buy from him using the plat you made. I've spent over 5h farming only to get 12 unrefined heci. If I had spend all this time farming relics, I could have made a few hundred plat. That would be enough for all Voidrig's ores + a cheap skin.
Tbh this does not help much if you have the starter kit. Just not enough dmg. :) Other than that its better than mining thats for sure. Edit: Excalibur Umbra helps a ton.

I got like 15 heciphrons in about 8 minutes? 😂🤣😭 But the thing is, the game doesn't tell you in real time what dropped. You have to look at your mission progress to see what ores they gave you. But I still think the drop rate for heciphrons are too low and for ores in general way too fucking random just for the mech. DE needs to tone it down more for that quest. Thanks for this info though. Everyone else on the internet says do isolation drops, and requiems, and mining this way and that way at this place. None of that worked.
I highly recommend getting a companion with Fetch or Vacuum, as it will automatically pick up any items around you within a 12m radius. Farming without this can be difficult. Taxon should be unlocked for crafting once you finish Earth, so that should help. Equip the mod on it and upgrade it for an even larger pickup radius. With that materials getting stuck shouldn't be a problem anymore
The Heciphron drops are heavily based on luck, yes, but this method has a higher chance of dropping multiple mining resources compared to mining one ore at a time. I highly recommend that you get the Umbra and let him do the killing, as that is faster than using the standard amp you start with. On top of that, remember to get a Vacuum or Fetch mod to ensure you loot all dropped resources, as sometimes they might get stuck in rocks or walls. But best of luck on the grind, as once its over you will not have to worry about it much again.
@@TipsyContent nahh its no big deal.. i now know, i cant really play the game by no research. i needed to put so much time when i wasn't playing and when i was. Semi Side Note I put in 420hrs in 3 weeks, 172hrs in-missions time. I'm at mastery rank 13, with 5 prime warframes, and 9 warframes total. I also got 2 prime incarnon weapons Burston and Soma. Boys the obelisk are superb👌🏽, got like 5 - 15 heciphron per run, plus up u can double back and enemies can spawn again.

I was struggling with Operator, so instead of using your method I tried minning at Catabolic Gutter using the Nosan Cutter instead of the Sunpoint Plasma Drill, i was getting 6-14 per run, I think that by using a worse drill everytime I would get rarer gems locked by good drills I was getting Heciphrom.
Tip from experience as a low level player like me:
you can just farm heciphrom from all veins in cambion drift and their chances are higher especially if there is like a goal like indicator in drilling, not the one that is moving or not moving, indicator the rectangular shaped one, whether it is a yellow vein or blue vein as long as you have the rectangular indicator it gives you a chance to have the heciphron, and I do a run and I farmed 30 heciphron doing that, plus the chances are way more higher if there are 3 drilling points in a vein.

Using the beginner amp is more than enough for this. Just stay in stealth until you have max amp power, then use it fully, go back into stealth, and wait for it to recharge. I just did a run in about 10 minutes and got 12 Heciphron with the beginner amp. The only issue I had was with armored and Eximus enemies, which I took down with my frame and finished off with the amp.

So I tried the xata obelisk cuz you said it was bugged. Just to what see would happen. It's been an hour. Enemies don't spawn anymore but I keep getting it to no health. It resets and there's a blinding blue light that takes up most of my screen if I looks in it's direction.
Vome and fass make noises in the distance every 15-30 seconds.
Had time to kill and that's what I found ❤ also the requiem icons atop the beacon are all mushed together 😅

How am I supposed to do this when they barely spawn any enemies? After the initial wave it's just silence. Sometimes there are no enemies at all. So annoying.

So far the only thing that's worked for me was mining in the catabolic gutter cave literally to the right of the Fast Travel Beacon. Manage to craft 20 out of the 40 purified hecephron in a couple of hours. Hope this helps.
one thing I learned is that those things you hit with the operator can still be redone just need to go de like one or 2 others and run back
If I remember correctly, yes, there is a respawn timer on the obelisks. But depending on how fast you are, you can finish a full run before they respawn, making it easier to reload the instance when that happens.
I mined for almost 2 hours and got 19 and thought it was a struggle then I read the comments about people doing this for hours and getting zero and now I feel blessed😂

its like the time when I made my necramech video, I spent 1 hour just getting one drop of heciphron to showcase in the video, even though I didn't need it. Then, when I needed a clip for this video, I got it in the 2nd vein. ;_; Heciphron is a joker.

If the enemies aren't dropping resources, it means they aren't dying as required by the obelisk objective.
To start the obelisk, shoot it with your Operator.
1. The enemies need to be killed by either an Operator, Necromech, or Umbra.
2. You need to do the objective tied to the obelisk. (Kill tethered enemeis and so on)
Be sure to double-check the obelisk you're at and the specific requirements for the enemies to drop resources.

first hour I kept getting bad/bugged spawns 4 total heciphron, second hour I got 55. RNG is fun. I found it was best to gamble untill you get a good seed of around 6 to 7 of the easiest towers, like tether and blind and just keep doing runs of that.

The Operator weapon is called an Amp, and as you progress further into the game, you'll be able to craft different versions. If you have access to Umbra, I recommend using him while you're in Operator mode, Umbra will automatically attack enemies, and his kills count as Operator kills. This can help speed up the grind a bit if the standard Amp feels a bit slow.

Do we have to use void energy to kill them though?
The enemies has to be killed by operator/necramech and Umbra kills count aswell. For the pulse one the pulse hurts them so you need to hurt them down and let the pulse finish them off which makes it pretty hard for some as it either dont hurt them enough or you might insta kill the enemies. Otherwise most of the other obelisk requires operator/Necramech or umbra to have the kill blow yep

Yeah, RNG will be RNG sometimes. I got Heciphron in almost all my runs when I tested it, but there were definitely a few unlucky runs where I hit the void and didn't get any.
Just got 14 Heciphron by doing 5 Obelisks with Umbra 👍

Yep, absolutely! Umbra counts as Operator kills while you are in Operator form. So, if you have a weak AMP for your Operator or are struggling a bit to get kills, Umbra is a great alternative.

I am a returning player. I neither have a voidrig nor the archwing launcher module. I want to actually farm the stuff to get a voidrig in the first place. Also my operators damage is sh*t so obelisks are out. The only thing I get from the video is: those who do not need the stuff anymore can farm it easily and I am yearning for the mines.
Welcome back to the game and I highly recommend getting the Archwing Launcher Module, as it shouldn't be hard to obtain. On top of that, I suggest completing the quest to get Umbra Excalibur. When you're in Operator form, the frame will idle and kill enemies for you, counting as Operator kills, which will also drop resources. This should make it much easier to farm Obelisks without worrying too much, as you can stealth in Operator form and let Umbra handle the killing. Let me know if you have any questions! ^^

I honestly am considering dropping warframe altogether. I've been mining/trying to do obelisks for a month now and it just isn't fun anymore. I won't get into the details of mining 'cause we all know it sucks. Talking about obelisks, amp just does a measly 7 dmg in it's base form because it turns out I chose the wrong focus tree to start with so I'll have to farm focus to get a new focus tree, and I can't count on umbra to do kills since AI kills the infested outside of the range of the obelisk 90% of the time.
I'm not enjoying the game anymore and it feels like an on purpose speedbump to get you to shell out money. I know it's a game where you got to grind. But this is ridiculous. Borderline psychotic.
Never had any trouble with grinding stuff in warframe prior to this, and I spent 2 weeks farming mods for my Hek build. This just feels like I'm getting nowhere.
Ok, I'm damn stupid, I just realized that the amp is something you actually equip... not just the base beam... I'm damn stupid lmao
I get where you're coming from. Warframe’s grind can be rough, especially with mining and low drop rates. Don’t stress too much about the focus school you can switch it up, and some upgrades can be shared across schools, so any progress helps. If the amp isn't working for you, farming a better one could definitely make things easier as you said. But best of luck on the Grind once you get over this wall of The New War the game really opens op for some interesting stuff.
I was fishing and I noticed a blue 3 pronged arrow , I looked at mini map and I could see all the masses you could destroy. Like mines all over the place. Do you know what that's about ?
I use excalibur umbra but when in operator mode he runs around killing all the enemies at the obelisk!
I can confirm getting Umbra kills while in the operator form counts as operator kills so this should still drop ressources if Umbra kills enemies while doing the Obelisk Objective

If you value your time, don't bother farming heci. Simply buy from Loid instead. Farm mods/primes and sell them using WF market until you have at least 40 plat. Then wait for refined heci to be in Loid's daily deals. Even if you're unlucky, the rotation shouldn't take more than 2-3 days. Buy from him using the plat you made.
I've spent over 5h farming only to get 12 unrefined heci. If I had spend all this time farming relics, I could have made a few hundred plat. That would be enough for all Voidrig's ores + a cheap skin.
Tbh this does not help much if you have the starter kit. Just not enough dmg. :) Other than that its better than mining thats for sure.
Edit: Excalibur Umbra helps a ton.

I got like 15 heciphrons in about 8 minutes? 😂🤣😭 But the thing is, the game doesn't tell you in real time what dropped. You have to look at your mission progress to see what ores they gave you. But I still think the drop rate for heciphrons are too low and for ores in general way too fucking random just for the mech. DE needs to tone it down more for that quest. Thanks for this info though. Everyone else on the internet says do isolation drops, and requiems, and mining this way and that way at this place. None of that worked.

80% of the materials are bugged and inside obstacles.
I highly recommend getting a companion with Fetch or Vacuum, as it will automatically pick up any items around you within a 12m radius. Farming without this can be difficult. Taxon should be unlocked for crafting once you finish Earth, so that should help. Equip the mod on it and upgrade it for an even larger pickup radius. With that materials getting stuck shouldn't be a problem anymore

Goood guide but this farm is just based in luck no matter what you do i've been at it for 5 days now...
The Heciphron drops are heavily based on luck, yes, but this method has a higher chance of dropping multiple mining resources compared to mining one ore at a time. I highly recommend that you get the Umbra and let him do the killing, as that is faster than using the standard amp you start with. On top of that, remember to get a Vacuum or Fetch mod to ensure you loot all dropped resources, as sometimes they might get stuck in rocks or walls. But best of luck on the grind, as once its over you will not have to worry about it much again.

Semi Side Note I put in 420hrs in 3 weeks, 172hrs in-missions time. I'm at mastery rank 13, with 5 prime warframes, and 9 warframes total. I also got 2 prime incarnon weapons Burston and Soma.
