Thanks for the video. Would be useful to have voice over directions too
I need him to come install it in my bronco
Don't we all. He is super nice and really great at mounting tents.
Thank you for this video, I am thinking to get one for 2016/4Runner, just wondering where to order two crossbars like you have under tent, and how much load these two bars should be able to take on
At 6:43, that is the hardest part of using this tent, screwing in those locknuts by hand. I have a tiny space in which to ratchet those nuts, and it takes forever. Do you have any suggestions?
I ran into this exact same problem. it was very difficult to tighten down the lock nuts and I still had a good quarter inch of bolt sticking out too after fully tightened!
@@jacobunderpower I figured out that the narrow width problem was really due to using the stock crossbars, because once I upgraded to Thule cross bars, I had a lot more room.
@@predatorminutepodcast1570 interesting I am using the Thule Winbar Evo that is lifted with a Thule part due to my rails!
Is this universal with all crossbars?
Hi Zurtle! Our rooftop tents does not have universal fit. We only recommends Thule Roof Rack systems for Thule Tepui roof top tents. For other brand
roof rack applications check vehicle and roof rack owner’s manual for maximum weight capacity.
We cannot guarantee any compatibility of other roof racks and/or their load capabilities.
In the manual for the rooftop tents then you can see the dimension of bars it suits.
How long does it take to get one of these delivered realistically
So....Here is the question I cannot for the life of me get answered. I have a 2019 Outback Limited. I'd LOVE to buy one of these tents but I cannot get a straight answer on compatibility with Outbacks. Subaru sends mixed messages.
Can I install AND USE one of these tents on a 2019 Outback Limited ?? It has the regular stock roof rack with the swing away cross bars. I don't mind changing the cross bars but DO NOT want to do more than that.
Can I use this tent ? It will be only me sleeping in it and I am 200 pounds.
When on the web site for this tent, I enter all the Outback info and I get a screen that says "There are no products compatible" . Huh ??

Check the static rating of your roof rack. The Tepaui Low Pro 2 has a static weight of 105 pounds. I did the work for you. Your 2019 Outback Limited has a hefty roof rack rating of 165 pounds. After you verify this, see owners manual, you should be good to go. You can then mount the tent on the cross bars or rails, per your preference. Remember, the ladder adds additional weight loading capacity. Good luck and happy trails, as they say.
What is torque specs for the crossbar clamps?
