- The New York Hardcore Chronicles 10 Questions w/ Billy Graziadei (Biohazard). While shooting "The Crossover" segment for the upcoming New York Hardcore Chronicles Film we managed to slip in 10 questions.
Directed by Drew Stone
Met him a couple of times and always been fucking lovely. Legend, still posi after all these years.
Billy is a super cool guy. Met him many, many times. I fucking love BIOHAZARD!
Everyone's first answer to the drummer question is Mackie with absolutely no hesitation.
what band was he in ?
cro mags
Mackie, Earl, and Armand seem to show up regularly.
Haha there is a reason for it
@@lowestfrequency and Petey Hines
The first Biohazard demo is legendary. The sound is so raw. What the first album should have sounded like.
Damn he seems awesome. F'ing biohazard ruled.
That was cool how he not only named Brian Baker as one of his three guitar influences, but that he named him first.
even Stigma names him
Biohazard are my band. PERIOD!
What a great guy! Positive energy!
Everyone says "Minus" for best dancer in the pit. Dude must have been fun. Love the old school shit
For some reason I never really listened to much Biohazard, but Billy has always been a cool guy. Also, I'm not "that" Brian Baker, BTW, but us having the same name is what got me into hardcore way back.
Met him in 2017 while touring with PowerFlo , really cool guy.
I haven't seen many interviews of Billy but he comes off as a really smart guy in this video.
Best answer for 'is hardcore dead?' ,sweet.
I saw you guys in Petaluma,California. You pulled me up on stage twice,to stage dive.the second time I jumped of the monitor and the crowd opened up like the Red Sea. A 6'5" 235 lb guy lands hard on the concrete floor. Oh,the memories.....good times.".........good times.
THAT BACKFOCUS IS HARDCORE!
Best advice ever!! Go on tour... road trips rule.
His statement about bands reuniting kicked me right in the balls. Wish they could pull it together and play again.
You are in luck my friend.
I should of grown up in NYC in the 80's and 90's
wow, so good to see billy
Nice one dude
Should do a BFB reunion with Billy and Rob together!
MINUS!!!!
I was an impressionable youth when I saw Carnivore and the mags at L'Amours. Changed my whole shit. almost 30 years later im still into it. NYHC!!!
Is everyone overlooking when he said the band got crabs. Um what?
Cro-MAGS/CARNIVORE💣💣💣💣💣
Here thinking about the fact that there won't be new Biohazards, Cro Magses, Madballs and Carnivores. Can't turn back time.
This is true and it saddens Me since those are such amazing bands snd we have shows seen and remembered fondly, albums we treasure and listen to with great enjoyment, footage where it can be found, but those Magical days of yesteryear are gone. Not to say that new and creative folks aren’t creating cool new things but there is something so pure and true in the old HC energy.
Who is the second drummer Billy mentioned?
Евгений Пахомов D Lux aka Danny from Biohazard
Danny, Biohazard's drummer. They call him D'Lux.
Saw them in Dublin. SFX
Got attacked and robbed of my ticket so I bought a new one off a taut. Hung out with Billy prior to the gig outside SFX
Show got cancelled after 4 songs due to stage mosh
Would I do it again?
+Irish Aidan Just shows you, even back in the day there were thugs amidst that gig. They knew it was a slam-dance crew that only wanted love and they took advantage.
Billy you are a good man, I love your voice
+Irish Aidan that was The tivoli
Ah yes! Sorry you are right. The Tivoli! haha
Chaos !
Rob Finn It was something special. Even living over here in London now many years later, I will never forget that gig, nor Biohazard
And you know some sack of shit hit me a few slaps and robbed my ticket off me whilst getting to the gig. A really fucking shit thing to do while you are crossing the road to attend the Tivoli.
I still saw the gig despite, and it says more about you (not you Rob but whoever was moron enough to do that)
"we're an American band"
cover they did at CBGB 1 show ?
I remember snowboarding with Billy , drew+crew
At big bear and when Bobby cursed and they shut off power , no footage but we had a blast!
The best drummer
Mackey, Armon
remember rest in pieces and alleyway posse Raw Deal
"wall of hate"
good stuff Drew ! keep em coming!
johnny1
He from Boston Massachusetts.
Look at his Wikipedia page it said he from boston🙄
Risk 74 I thought the all were nyc boys weren’t they?
Risk 74 that's what I thought. I feel like they used shout NY all the time back in the day
OZ is My favorite television show of all time but I really feel Evan leaving Biohazard for OZ and later his porn career really just ended Biohazard. Biohazard in My mind will always be Billy, Bobby, Danny and Evan.
what does crabs have to do with recording...?
Dirty soundboards
Real good dude and a hell of a performer/writer/musician- I booked his band "Suicide City" on a few dates near Boston years back and the guy was a pro/gent... -Deek
+Derek Diedricksen Yeah Billy and Biohazard are way underrated! A huge part of my disaffected/dysfunctional youth . I was really surprised to hear him mention C;Clapton or Vaughn as main influences those must be current influences as i am sure his early influences were more metal/punk/hardcore players.
Cro mags
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN. BLUESMASTER
todays whinny hardcore with the singers sounding like they swallowed a frogg when he attempts to growl while sounding like someone stole his lunch money in the process of trying to sing. Biohazard days of hardcore an bands of that era were bad ass wtf happen?
Posers came along
