My wife and I visited Yellowknife in January 2019. Enjoyed it very much. Minus 30 for most of our visit but we dressed for the cold. The museum was fascinating.

We stayed at the Embleton B&B at 52 & 52; she made her own bowl at the Old Town Glassworks (left side of the loop at 4:34), & photo'd the boat ramp at the end of the video with a low moon over the horizon. Since it dropped to -9c & the Northern Lights were elusive at best, we enjoyed the great indoors (hot tub & unmentionables that newlyweds do).
A lot bigger than I expected. I live in Texas & found this place while essentially throwing darts at a map & expected more of an encampment than an actual city.

I don’t know much, but I actually planned on traveling to Northern Canada, probably somewhere near Yellowknife if not at Yellowknife. It seems like such a nice place for wildlife and nature....😊

Most places in Canada's north are rough , and Yellowknife is right up there. Whitehorse would be a better choice if one wants the northern experience .

Consider more southern areas, like toronto, calgary, vancouver(if you can afford 1,000,000 homes) and maybe montreal. Calgary i prefer number one, lived in toronto, clgy and vancouver but nothing beats the hills, rocky mountains and affordable homes of calgary. Its getting to be a hell of a city now. Anyways thats just a few stuff if youre considering moving lol

Yellowknife is colder than Whitehorse in most cases. It can still get quite warm in the knife in the summer, whereas Whitehorse's temperature is moderated slightly by the surrounding mountains and being closer to the ocean
In european traditional concept of street, there is no streets at all in here. People are isolated in distant buildings, in the middle of nowhere, with so hard a climate.

Yellowknife has a better skyline than Whitehorse despite is lower population lots of high buildings I didn't see even one tall building in Whitehorse videos but Whitehorse has a much better scenery than Yellowknife.
