    I always really appreciate the work you put into your reviews, Omar. Your opinion of Fahrenheit is one of the few that I strongly agree with.
    Strangely, I don't detect the leathery petroleum accord that many people find polarising. To me, it has a certain floral and spicy note that I can't quite put my finger on. I find it very nostalgic and it makes me think of my dad, even though we aren't on good terms and I also don't recall him ever wearing Fahrenheit. I consider it a clean yet somewhat mysterious fougere, suitable day and night pretty much all year round with perhaps the exception of summer daytimes. This may be one of the few that I consider a bottle for life.

    I tried Antaeus and i litteraly think it stinks. I think my nose is just not refined enough yet to enjoy that kind of scent.

  • @rensis1621
    @rensis1621 7 місяців тому

    I own Encre Noire A l'Extreme and I don't think it is bad or even that polarizing, however I find it extremely formal. It's something like your best suit: You don't wear it casually, and when you do it's not necessarily for funsies. But it's good to have just in case. I don't use it particularly often because my lifestyle doesn't require it, but if you are for example a regular church-goer, or often attend formal events like marriages or funerals, it is a very easy recommendation. Almost a no-brainer.

  • @lgeiger
    @lgeiger 7 місяців тому

    Great list. I really need to try some of those classics like Fahrenheit, Kouros and Antaeus. I still have a test sample of Encelade and I sprayed it on a few minutes ago. When I got it I did not like it, but this was almost a year ago and I was not really into niche perfumery. Now it's different and I can definitely appreciate it a lot more. It's not something I would wear, but it's very unique. The rhubarb accord is so distinct. I think it can be quite overwhelming, because it's so strong and you usually would not associate such a smell with a fragrance. Fruity, green, earthy, woody and sweet is what I get from it. I would not mind smelling this on someone else.

    Moschino Toy boy. I have tried this. I am not a fan of most rose fragrances, I'm not a fan of this one. But I don't know how they did it, but to me it smells unique. Like they managed to capture not only rose petal, but the leaves, the stem AND the thorns. A very thorny, green smelling rose fragrance.

  • @snubbii9276

    The encre noir al extreme was one of the early additions to my collection and defo very unique. Got my eye on shuhrah but when i went into my local arabian shop they didn't have it and bought daarej instead and quite happy with that. Need to give it more wearings as i picked up honour and glory at the same time and not enough days at the mo to give proper trials. Where anyone finds the oppos to go through that many scents, even without siss.y.spraying its a challenge.

    Got A L’Extreme. Toy Boy and DHP. I find myself reaching for the OG Encre Noir more because while it’s more linear and less complex it feels more versatile (and some of the older woman at work love it). Toy Boy is a great 3 season dumb reach for me. DHP is a masterpiece and always considered for special occasions.
