      I'm watching in England. I love the idea behind your design and I especially love the open stitch that you've used, so thank you. It's given me much pleasure crocheting this useful little bag. My husband loves it too, as he didnt like the soap dish I was using to try to prevent all the soaps dissolving into a mushy mess!

    I've made a second one:) The first one was for my husband to be used as a soap saver. I decided to make one for myself. But, it turned out to be sooooo beautiful that I changed my mind and made it a bit longer to use as a small pouch for my mobile phone and decorated it with a daisy flower applique:) I'm so happy about it and I wanted to share it with you. Thanks again for the tutorial and the tips:) I love all your tutorials, by the way:))))

    Oh my goodness! Talk about timing! I just looked up many, many patterns for soap sacks yesterday, and I wasn’t satisfied with what I found. I go on UA-cam this morning and look what Anja has posted!!! It’s PERFECT! I love it so much. Not only that, you taught me a couple things: catching the third loop to avoid a hole, which also keeps your vertical lines of crochet straight, and how you did your drawstring. They are both BRILLIANT! 💡 I’m so excited to make some!! 😃 Thank you so much, Anja!

    I’ve made 3 eco soap sacks. I like #5 crochet thread. Thanks so much for the tutorial. I love the nice tips to triple the thread for the drawstring and minimize the ends to weave in. I love picking up the 3rd loop to anchor the stitches and better line up the squares. Best wishes.

    Just finished one. Very nice. I’d like to make a basket to take to a local animal shelter to raise money, so anything fast and to keep to price down is helpful. Idk about where you are but I’m from Virginia and the prices of yarn,gas, and food, everything has skyrocketed. The shelter I help with are a no kill and go above and beyond to help all they can. They rely on public donations so I try to help them when I can. So I thought maybe these would make a good little fund raiser with their donated store items. Thank you for the tutorial 🥰

    Hello! I just subscribed to your channel! I am really happy with the way you explain! Would you please tell me if this stitch has certain multiples when using a medium weight cotton yarn that asks for an H hook? What would I adjust? I saw that you started with a 15 chain...should I make a smaller chain? The weight of the common cotton yarn I have is a 4 medium...I can go down to a G or even and F hook if needed. The yarn label asks for an H.
    Please help! I want to make many as gifts! Thank you so very much!

LOL anyway, yes I only made a single bedsize but unfortunately I have no idea how many balls i even used, so I am guessing you need 15-17 balls for a single size so you will need double for a double size, about 30 balls, and you will need more of the blue than of the other colours!! Does this help at all??

    Do you store your soaps in the bags wet? I tried another UA-camr’s pattern and found the bag and soap stayed soggy and mushy even hours after hanging to dry. Am I using the bags incorrectly or could it be the tightness of the stitch?

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  3 роки тому +1

      A lot of people use these bags to gift some soap. If you use it in the shower with the soap inside you have to hang it up to dry.

    I'm wondering how I would adjust this for a 4 weight yarn? If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance!

    Too fast. Beginners can’t see where you are putting the hook on some of these stitches. Others are great.

      And the crochet needle is the same colour, really hard to fathom what's going on. A shame, because I'm a beginner and would have loved to have made this.

    Je n'ai ni vos couleurs, ni votre papier. Néanmoins j'ai trouvé votre tuto très attrayant, alors j'ai essayé. Quatre fois. En résultat, j'ai obtenu à chaque fois des patates de couleur avec des auréoles, rien à voir avec le tuto. Finalement, je crois qu'il faut déjà être expérimenté, pour créer les formes parfaitement rondes et faire fuser les couleurs. Je suis à mille lieux du résultat, frustrée de surcroît. Voilà. Ce fut une expérience. Merci quand même. 😅

      Oh wow Alena, I don't know what you might be doing wrong, but please try again, maybe pause the video now and then so you can crochet along with me! Good luck, and thank you, Anja x

    Well, it´s a very cute little soap bag - and you show it very well! I will now start to make soap bags for my Young Living Soaps. I use it every day an I like mostly the Charcoal Bar Soap. Thank you so much for that tutorial. Many greetings from Germany! If you like - look at my site: www.myyl.com/soul-spa there are a lot of soaps with essential oils. They are so economic and natural - I love them - and now they all get a little handmade soap bag!! Thank you so much!
