Pink hated Christina because of Ron Fair. Ron Fair viewed Pink as a direct threat to what he was creating with Christina (white girl with the "soulful" aka "black girl" voice) and allegedly tried to make Pink feel she was inferior to Christina on the Marmalade track.

Both had good voices though. However, Mandy is a great actress. Love her in This is Us.
Let's be fair; Mandy absolutely still sings, she's just not releasing original music. It's a huge part of her character on This is Us and she's the voice of an incredibly popular Disney princess.

Mail From Dre vocally, Pink has more longevity than the other girls in that group because she takes good care of her voice and health. She’s one of the most consistent vocalists of her gen U know. Nearly 20 yrs of singing and still going strong.

Everyone of her songs are phenomenal. Never more relevant is this than with her latest song " what I know right now". Every young person or those of any age should listen to every word, it is literally not of this planet and the video is a masterpiece . Pink, I salute you seriously, just Wow.

I'm happy they are in a good place today and thought it a shame they ever had beef. They both are beautiful, talented and strong women and as such should support the other as possible, especially in the music industry.
Of the four P!nk for sure has the best vocals, and Mandy vocals are severely underrated.
I'm not a fan of Britney, I only like a handful of her songs, and "Breathe On Me" is definitely a quality bop. Legendtina showing impeccable taste as usual!

@@bionic2685 If you hear her singing as a kid, she had absolutely phenomenal vocals. Sadly, her label decided to market her as a "cute teen pop" artist and forced her to change her voice which also damaged it forever. She should have gone down the Soul route from the start but she wouldn't have gone fully mainstream that way. But being a mainstream artist is exactly what her parents and her label wanted because that's what brought her and THEM money and fame.
I always saw Britney as a naive victim of the industry tbh....what a waste of talent her whole career was.
Bionic Britney’s natural voice is amazing, soulful and deep, I love it!! It’s ruined now because of that high pitched baby voice her record label made her sing in, it was way too high for her, strained her voice.

I'm both fans of these girls but it easy to say she never hated Britney because "hate" is such a strong word. Maybe she felt frustrated at the attention Brit had during their early days especially during the 2004 VMAs. She gave a published interview regarding this, which Britney retaliated on the next month's issue of the same magazine.
Right, I think she was more frustrated with the fact she was not at all frustrated with the situation; but probably more so annoyed that the media wanting her to be frustrated

You ain’t lying! Ever since Chris announced her Vegas residency I’ve seen Britney fans ALL over her FB, IG, UA-cam videos, etc. having a conniption! They are seriously pressed about this and swear she’s copying Britney, etc. They try so hard to make her out to be inferior because deep down despite Britney’s higher sales they are intimidated by X-Tina’s vocals. The woman is a phenomenal vocalist and that’s going to give her longevity because she won’t necessarily have to do choreography when she’s in her 60’s and will still command millions to perform.

When was Pink ever in the same category as the other four though? I remember Britney, Christina, Jessica, and Mandy all being marketed the same way back then but Pink was more like TLC or Aaliyah.
How young are you? Lady Marmalade was the actual beginning of the "feud" between them. They both sang on that song and Pink was upset that Christina's A&R executive, Ron Fair, demanded that Christina get certain parts of the song.

Christina released Genie in a Bottle and Mandy and Jessica debuted their first singles in 1999 in response to Britney's Baby One More Time blowing up in 1998. Pink didn't arrive on the scene until 2000 with There You Go which was more like Lil Kim or Eve or Missy Elliot than a pop princess.

Pink started out on R&B radio with short pink hair and a video featuring her driving a car through an ex's apartment. You could say Britney, Christina, and Pink converged a few years later, but by that time, Jessica was more a reality TV star and Mandy was already breaking into acting.

I like all of them as they were part of my youth: Christina, Britney, Pink, Many and Jessica. I felt kinda bad for Jessica because she was pigeon holed as the "dumb pretty" girl with the less catchier songs than her competitor. She had a couple fun tunes like "public affair and irresistible." She needed some singing lessons but vocally has improved (listen to her 2nd christmas album, much better). Plus Ashlee (sister) had a couple funs songs too like "boyfriend and la la." Mandy, I didn't really associate her as a singer but she can sing. I considered her more of an actress with singing ability (favorite song "only hope and in my pocket"). She is a talented actress. Pink has the most longevity as she's been consistently successful and has a remarkable voice (fav song "just like a pill and family portrait"). Britney may not have had the most remarkable voice but I do believe she has a unique, memorable voice which suits her songs well (favorites "baby one more time and toxic"). She is also a gifted dancer. Of course, Christina has an excellent voice and Dirty was in her prime (favorites "fighter and ain't no other man"). She could also hold her own with dancing. I just wish she would spend less time showing off because it makes the song less enjoyable. I do feel for Christina as she had the voice but was always second place next to Britney even if Christina had the better voice. Maybe that's part of why she over sings to compensate to differentiate from Britney amongst others. End of rant :P
