Just ordered this today. I like buying cheaper guitars to practice my guitar maintenance skills. I don't skimp on the tools though. Looks like this might be the first guitar I use the fret kisser on.
I have the action a little higher but the frets aren't too terrible. Could it use a full level recrown, probably but I haven't decided if I want to try that out yet.
Talked about the pickups on your customer service video. Fixable but not just by potting alone. Swap magnets for ceramics or do a full rehab which isnt worth it for the cost of the parts IMO. If you peel the tape off an open bobbin one on the 12 string side you'll see what Im talking about.
@@graysguitars5113 They feedback because the steel keeper bar on the screw pole bobbin is floating, not clamped hard between the bobbin and the backplate. Potting can't fix that.
The truss rods are duel action in these so there will be no play at all when you're in the exact middle of you keep going the other direction you'll feel it start to tighten again. If not it's probably broken

Hard to beat price since hard to find just a case for under $150

My necks bow if i push on them while playing it. I adjusted the truss rods, but feels like theres no tension

They are proprietary, something firefly either makes in house or outsources from another Chinese factory. I believe the magnets are alnico 5

Nope I try to know exactly what I am getting into before buying something. Almost been scammed a few times though with some fake gibsons

Check the sofa firsts then sell one you aren't using if you can't find enough money
Change the string because FF string suck bad!
I don't think they suck but they do make my fingers gray. I'll have to change them sooner or later
